I've been so busy on weekdays, and finally have time to go out and explore the area. Shaoxing Shengzhou's Genglou Ancient Trail has become a popular weekend destination. ⭐Route: Nanshan Reservoir ➡ Lumen Academy ➡ Guimen Township ➡ Xiangbi Reservoir I took the 9 km small loop, with an elevation gain of about 300 meters. It's very relaxing and takes about 3–5 hours. ⛰Attractions: 1️⃣Nanshan Reservoir: The elevation gain is mainly in the first section. After half an hour of climbing, the view suddenly opens up. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can overlook the reservoir surrounded by mountains. The scenery is beautiful. 2️⃣Lumen Academy: An ancient academy with a history of more than 1,000 years. The great Confucian scholar Zhu Xi once visited and inscribed "Guimen," so Lumen Academy is also known as Guimen Academy. Hey guys, today I want to recommend a super niche and super interesting hiking route - Shengzhou Genglou Ancient Path! 📍Location: Shengzhou, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, a hidden gem! 🗺 Itinerary: 🔵 Depart from Shanghai > Changle Temple > Huang Teapot > Qianjialing > Ya'an Post > Fangyou Bridge > Guimen > Nanshan Reservoir > Lumen Academy > Changle Temple Hiking distance: 13.3 km Hiking time: 4 hours 30 minutes Total ascent: 418 meters Two steps: Uncle Ning's Genglou Ancient Path Loop Self-driving parking: Changle Temple Supply point: Supplies can be replenished in the villages along the way. It is recommended to bring your own water and food. 🏞 Recommended attractions: Set off early in the morning, along the winding mountain road, and step into the traces of history. Here, you can find the "Millennium Torreya Forest and Wanyan Giant Stone Array." The villagers here live in harmony with the mountains, giant stones, torreya forests, springs, tea gardens, and various creatures, forming a community of life and becoming a model of human-nature integration. There are many peculiar large stones on the mountain in Baiyankeng Village. They seem to be arranged in a disorderly manner, yet they appear to be in order. The stones lie or stand, lean or tilt, forming a chaotic stone forest, like a giant stone array. Below the stone array is an ancient torreya forest, where ancient trees and stones complement each other, creating a breathtaking sight.
