Phousi Hill is a great place to visit during your trip to Luang Prabang. The walk to the top is easy, and along the way, you can enjoy many Buddhas, temples, and beautiful views. Once you reach the top, you will see stunning views of the rivers and the city. Watching the sunset from Phousi Hill is a nice plan, but be aware that it can get crowded, and the area is quite small. If you want to catch the sunset, I recommend arriving at least an hour before the golden hour to find a good spot. A must-visit spot if you have the chance to travel to Nara is Wakakusayama Hill. It's a city that's not too far from Osaka, and of course, when you think of Nara, you think of deer. But in this trip, besides feeding the deer, I want everyone to experience watching the sunset at Wakakusayama Hill, which is just behind Nara Park. The entrance fee is 150 yen, and the view is absolutely stunning. The weather was quite nice when we went; even though it was sunny, the breeze was quite chilly. It felt like a picnic where people came to relax and feed the deer. The deer would come out and ask for food, which was quite funny. We waited quite a while for the sunset, but it was worth the wait. The view was incredibly beautiful, and the vibe was great. Watching the sunset while watching the deer was so healing. I highly recommend it to anyone who visits; the view is truly beautiful. It's a perfect way to end a day of traveling, just sitting and chilling with a beautiful view. It's like recharging your own battery. I hope this can be a helpful tip for friends who visit Nara. At the summit, you'll find the iconic rock formation depicted in the first picture. There, I saw the Dragon's Head Rock, a stunning geological marvel evoking myth and reality. Upon reaching the summit, I was greeted by an awe-inspiring panorama that stretched across Penang City. The view was particularly enchanting as the sunset painted the sky with vibrant hues. It served as a mesmerizing escape, captivating me with its incredible scenery. On my way back home, I stumbled upon a durian farm managed by an elderly man. There, I indulged in the best durian I've ever tasted in Malaysia, and it happened to be the cheapest one I've found :D. It is the most popular hiking spot in Ella due to its relatively easy climb and spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from the peak. The trailhead starts next to Ravana Pool Club located about 4 km to the south-east of Ella town centre. It can be easily reached by hiring a tuk-tuk. Attractions - This park is at the end of the city, it is right before the highway entrance. It is in a peaceful area with no traffic around. The park is regularly cleaned and maintained. Catching the sunset above a sea of clouds… Marlboro Hill is located in Sagada, one of the popular tourist spots in the Philippines. Sharing this once in a lifetime experience.. I know there are other countries with a spectacular view such as this but I would like to share one from my own. Am getting old already so I was thankful I still got to do this before my knees can’t take it, haha! Sagada is accessible by land travel. However, to get to the top of Marlboro Hills, you have to trek uphill. Your fitness level will depend how early you should go there to start the hike. Our group of 5 consists of me, my dad, my son and 2 guides. I have quite bad knees and my dad as well so we had to stop every once in a while during the hike. We started between 3AM to 4AM, if I remember correctly. It took us almost 2 hours of trekking uphill muddy soil. The portable walking sticks I bought from here (SG) came in very handy!!! When we reached the top of Marlboro hill, there were a lot of people already but we still managed to find a good spot. Another anticipated moment aside from watching the beautiful sunrise is the rolling in of the sea of clouds… That was such a sight, capturing it in timelapse! My photos didn’t bring it justice but I managed to have a few good shots. Near the viewing area, there are portable toilets and a few eateries selling coffee, congee, sandwiches, etc. Aside from hiring transport and guide (costs vary), you need to pay a tourism/environmental fee (less than equivalent of SGD3). From my room in The Clan hotel, I can see a curved pathway which seem to lead somewhere (refer to photo with arrow). Went out to explore, due to my curiosity. Found out this was one of the exits of Ann Siang Hill Park. This park is near Telok Ayer mrt and can be explored in around 10 minutes. I started from the park’s entrance found in Amoy street and followed the pathway which led me to a flight of stairs. This will lead you a spiral staircase or another pathway (exit). I went up the spiral staircase which led me to a resting area in front of PS Cafe. At the left side of PS Cafe, there was a path to go down and at the right side, it will lead you to a wall with mural (cafe’s side) and a pathway to another exit. I think the stairs at the left side and pathway at the right side of the cafe leads to either Club Street or Ann Siang road. I walked back towards the spiral staircase to go down, followed the pathway to the exit and headed my way back to Amoy street to go back to the hotel. The hill was a good 20 minute walk from and to The Clan. The trail is short but steep, so it's a bit of a workout, but there are several paths to choose from, allowing flexibility in how you approach the climb. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking—you get a panoramic look at the Acropolis and the entire city of Athens, which makes the effort completely worth it. In November, it’s refreshingly quiet, with few people around, adding to the peaceful experience. Near the summit, there are restaurants where you can sit back, relax, and even use the facilities—super convenient after the hike up. At the top, there's a charming little church, and if you go on a Sunday morning, you might catch a glimpse of the local churchgoers. The Tang Kuan Hill is one of the best tourist places in Songkhla. It is situated in the city center of Songkhla, the southern province of Thailand. A hill that is about 105 metres above sea level. On the top of the hill is enshrined the Phrathat Chedi of Songkhla built during the Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom that is art of the Dvaravati period. One of the simple sightseeing u can see which isn't that far from samila beach. There is a small tram that takes u to the hilltop to see the temple up there. Cost 30baht per adult and 20baht per child. Can't remember but if not mistaken if it's child is less than 90cm it's free. View is nice at the top but aside from that there is frankly nothing much to do here.
