THAI NINE CAFE
#chinatrip
Two popular Thai restaurants outside Heung Che Street Market each have fans🇹🇭
After eating at Zhang Xiuling, I came to eat at Taijiu today🏠
The two-story Thai restaurant adopts a stylish industrial style route👀
In some parts of the cement wall, you can see the red brick wall underneath🪨🧱
The floor is covered with black and white checkered texture tiles◼️🔲◻️
The feature wall with soda water bottles neatly arranged is beautiful😍
There is an L-shaped bar on the ground floor to entertain guests🪑
The dining area on the second floor has four tables and a long table space😌
As soon as lunch time opens, customers arrive one after another🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻🚶🏻♂️
Hainanese chicken rice and fried Phnom Penh noodles are both must have foods in Thai cuisine🍜🍝
Fried shrimp cakes are also delicious🍤
Thai coffee is not as sweet as expected, so you can drink it with confidence🧋

ADO Yoshokuya Cafe Hongkong
#chinatrip
Omelet rice tea shop opened in Tai Wai for a year and a half🏠
After graduating in August, I recently moved to Tsuen Wan🎊
The new retro design store that continues the Showa style is twice as big as before👀
Dim lights and dark wooden tables and chairs create a warm and comfortable atmosphere💡🪑
There are a lot of fine decorations placed near the door for you to enjoy 🧐
Omelet rice is the signature here but breakfast time is added on Saturdays and Sundays 🍽️
Offers three options of all-day breakfast, hot pancakes and egg sandwiches📋
Pair ADB with a bowl of miso soup for a Western-Japanese crossover🍳🥣
In comparison, Hotcakes are more surprising, with eggy flavor and texture🥞🍯
The two cups of coffee taste lighter and the iced Americano tastes better than the latte☕️🥃
I will try the long-lost omelette rice next time to see if it maintains the standard🤓

NODI MAGNET PLACE
#chinatrip
The coffee shop that will expand the fastest in 2024 is definitely Nodi🏘️
Last year, Kennedy Town, Taikoo Shing, Central, Kwai Chung and even the airport were added😮
In the blink of an eye, we have ten branches in Hong Kong🏠
The Kwai Chung store opened in early October is located on the ground floor of a new commercial building in the factory area🏢
The store is divided into two areas on the left and right by the entrance of the building👀
Black and gray design tone combined with simple wooden decoration🪨🪵
Come morning and there is comfortable morning light☀️
It gives people a refreshing feeling in this old area🤩
The light food styles provided here are more popular than the Hung Hom stores we frequent📋
In addition to bagel, muffin and sandwich🤔
Earl gray orange bagel is very fragrant but seems to be over baked🔥
The top layer is very crispy but the inside is too dry and hard to bite into and it makes my head hurt from chewing🥯😣
The coffee is delicious and saved a lot of points☕️😌
I need to find a day to go to Taikoo Shing to explore the stores🤓

101 Binary Coffee Shop Hongkong
#chinatrip
101 Coffee Shop moved from Liuli Street to Qingfeng Street in August🏠
Taking over from the previous Superhooman, it will continue to operate under the Tuve Hotel🙌🏻
From the original fresh wood design to metal industrial style😮
There are more than 20 seats indoors and two tables of outdoor seats outside the store🪑
On this day, Signature’s metal folding door opens and closes🚪
The room is dark and you need to rely on lighting, so your field of vision is limited👀
What’s more special are the two high platforms near the door🧐
There are names of various coffees on the table to serve as menus📋
Let’s have an IGable avocado flower with smoked salmon this morning🥑🌺🐟
It tastes good and the red sauce on the side is delicious🤤
If it is a half-boiled egg, it will be more beautiful if it has a runny effect when cut into it 🍳
For the milk coffee, I chose the lightly roasted Victoria blend formula☕️
Fruity has a bit of chocolate flavor🍫
Continue to enjoy the refreshing feeling of the refreshing breeze at Qingfeng Street😌

Tonkatsu Enbiton Cafe Hongkong
#chinatrip
After Singapore, the Gillette store from Japan came to Hong Kong a month ago🚩
Instead of opening the first store in Hong Kong in a prosperous area, we chose to open the Hollywood Plaza in Diamond Hill🏢
The entire restaurant space is designed in light wood color with tables and chairs of the same color🪵🪑
The wooden screen pieced together with different geometric patterns is beautiful😍
The signature Hokkaido "Sigen Dolphin" is bred from a cross-breeding of four of Japan's best pig breeds🐷
Not a thick cut but still tender and juicy🤤
Gillette Miyazaki Wagyu stone-yaki set meal is red and very attractive🥩
Put it on the stove and sear both sides until crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sound is very healing😌
It’s the first time I’ve eaten Gillette salmon. It has a very special texture between sashimi and fried fish🐟
Gillette shrimp and Gillette oysters also look good. I’ll try them again next time I have a chance🍤🦪🤓

Kurasu Coffee Hongkong
#chinatrip
Kurasu Coffee from Kyoto announced its entry into Hong Kong to open a store in the middle of last year🏠
It’s a pity that I only heard the noise from the stairs but no news of the opening🤥
I went to Singapore in August but didn’t like it and wanted to wait until Hong Kong to try it🤔
It finally opened at the end of November, which seems to be just the day to go to Kyoto🇯🇵
The original plan of making a pilgrimage to the main store suddenly changed📝
I will come back to Hong Kong to look for and continue the taste of Kyoto⛩️
The coffee shop is located next to the hotel entrance opposite Miramar Mall 📍
I came here today and thought that half of the gates were not open yet🚪
So I waited outside the door for ten minutes⏳
Later I found out that the lift system just broke down that day😅
The coffee shop is natural and simple with an all-wood design🪵
Walls, tables, chairs, bar counters, and decorative cabinets are all made of wood👀
The seats in the couch area are a bit too low and not suitable for sitting for long periods of time🛋️
The machine coffee here offers two coffee bean options📋
Iced American Style chose the Brazilian single product, which has a more prominent bean and fruit flavor🍹
For the hot latte, I chose the house blend, which is medium-dark roasted☕️
The ready-to-order caramel stewed egg puffs look very attractive🍳🥧
The custard sauce on the dough is burned into caramelized crispy noodles🌀
There are two levels of crispiness with the crispy skin of puffs😬
It’s filled with sweet but not greasy custard sauce😍
There is a ball of vanilla ice cream on top of the caramel pudding🍮🍨
There are vanilla seeds in the pudding and the two blend perfectly😋
Next time you go to Kyoto, you can make a pilgrimage to the main store🤓

TAI ER Suancai & Fish
#chinatrip
I haven’t gone north for half a year🚆
Tai Er Pickled Fish, which is often eaten in Shenzhen, has also opened a branch in Hong Kong😳
And they opened four stores at once🏘️
Available in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Tong, Sha Tin and Kowloon City
The most convenient store in Tsim Sha Tsui today is inside K11 Art Mall🏢
In the past, the dining environment was dark, but the Tsim Sha Tsui shopping mall has windows and is not so cramped🪟
The seats are mainly card seats and sofas, which are very comfortable and easy to sit on🛋️
Just like Shenzhen, there is a self-service drink bar where you can make your own tangerine peel and roselle tea☕️🫖
The Hong Kong-exclusive Tengzhi Lao Sauce Seafood Chicken is a cold dish🌶️🦐🐔
In addition to shrimp and chicken, there are also razor clams which are not very spicy but very appetizing😛
The portion size and flavor of the pickled fish are the same as the above, which is a long-lost taste🐟🍲🥹
The price seems to be about the same as in Shenzhen. If you want to eat soon, you can come here to treat your stomach 🤓

Goose Chocolate Hongkong
#chinatrip
Come to the chocolate themed coffee shop for a sweet treat on Valentine’s Day🍫🥰
From Half & Half in Sai Ying Pun to Goose Chocolate in Sheung Wan🪿🍫
The retro green space is paved with patterned checkered floor tiles, antique lamps, old TVs, etc. 💠📺
There are also a large number of childlike knick-knacks and accessories that make the whole space more textured👀
Long time no see, the owner is still very hospitable 😬
I will carefully introduce the characteristics and flavors of different chocolates one by one💬
Then recommend the appropriate flavor according to the customer’s preferences🤔
Tried Tanzania 73% of the five single-origin chocolate beans supplied🫘
Very rich taste, not too sweet and with cherry flavor🍒🍫🍷
Sweet Moment is a twisted brioche bun with vanilla ice cream🍞🍨
Pour on salted rum caramel sauce and sprinkle with chopped nuts🫗🥜
This is the only meal without chocolate that can clear your taste buds😛
The signature double chocolate pudding is smoother than egg pudding🍫🍮
Orange sparkling chocolate has a strong orange aroma before drinking it🍊🍫🍹
The first time I drank sparkling frozen chocolate, it tasted fresh and special😌
There are also several special chocolate drinks that I would like to try next time🤓

Mercury Recalls By Lost Stars Cafe
#chinatrip
The 3,000-square-foot space in the store is divided into several dining areas👀
The design is based on cement gray and is paired with retro-style wooden tables and chairs🪨🪑
The theme wall of the echoing music restaurant is covered with nostalgic vinyl records💽
Hong Kong, foreign and Japanese ones all have existing display purposes🖼️
There is also a DJ area in the center of the restaurant where you can play live🎼🎧
There are also lunch sets here on Saturdays and Sundays📋
Fried avocado is rare, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, delicious🥑
The buffalo wings are spicy and sour and very appetizing🍗
The mango fillet is a big piece, the skin is crispy and the meat is tender🐠
And the mango avocado salsa is very refreshing🥭🥑😌
It tastes good when paired with North African millet salad 🥗😌
Impossible vegetarian eggplant lasagna uses new pork🌱🍆🍝
But the texture and taste are no different from ordinary meat sauce lasagna 😋
The coffee tastes nutty but the taste is normal☕️
The beautiful Elderberry Apple Earl Gray Tea Tart is out of stock today. I’ll try it next time🌹🍎🥧

Whispers of the Wind: The Sacred Beauty of Tibetan Prayer Flags in Shangri-La
#chinatrip#yunnan #shangrila
In Shangri-La, I was amazed by the sight of the Tibetan prayer flags, known as *Lungta* in Tibetan. These colorful flags—composed of red, yellow, white, green, and blue—are a common yet profound feature of Tibetan culture. Printed with intricate Tibetan script, they are often mistaken for mere decorations due to their vibrant colors. The name *Lungta* carries a deeper meaning: "Lung" refers to wind, while "Ta" means horse, symbolizing the "wind horse" that carries prayers far and wide. Typically hung on mountaintops, around white stupas, or near incense-burning platforms, the flags flutter endlessly in the wind. The origin of prayer flags stems from the Tibetan people's desire to extend their prayers beyond the confines of location and time. Unable to constantly pray in temples, they found a way to harness the power of nature—printing teachings of the Buddha or prayers from spiritual leaders onto flags. As the wind rustles the flags, these blessings and prayers are carried across the earth, spreading good fortune and peace for all beings. This simple yet profound practice left me deeply moved, a reminder of the Tibetan people's unwavering faith and their beautiful connection to nature.
