Feel the Mediterranean breeze in Sicily
Sicily is an island located in the south of Italy in the Mediterranean Sea, and Catania is a port city in Sicily. We arrived there on a cruise ship. It was nice to walking around the city. There were many historical buildings with beautiful designs. We could feel the Italian culture and taste the cuisine. People were very laid back and everyone was enjoying the summer weather. The local people were very friendly and they spoke English very well. We would love to come back and spend more time in Sicily to explore more in the future.

Catania was a splendid trip 🇮🇹

Exploring Catania was a fantastic experience! 🌋 I started my adventure at the iconic Mount Etna, which is a must-see. A cable car ride up cost around €30, offering breathtaking views of the crater and surrounding landscapes. For history buffs, the Catania Cathedral and its impressive baroque architecture are worth a visit, with free entry. ⛪ Nearby, the lively Piazza del Duomo and its famous Elephant Fountain were highlights, bustling with local charm and street vendors. 🐘
Don’t miss out on the vibrant fish market, La Pescheria, where you can soak in the local atmosphere and sample fresh Sicilian delicacies. 🍤 Catania also offers lovely coastal walks along the black lava beaches. The blend of natural beauty and historic sites made my trip truly unforgettable. #trip #Catania #MountEtna #Sicily #TravelTips #ItalianAdventures

A nice hotel in Catania
The NH is a convenient bus ride from the airport, with the stop right across from the hotel. You so won't be too far from the center, which is around 15 mins away. There are a few more local dining options near the hotel which is great for tasty food.
The rooms are quite nice and the higher floors have a nice view of the city, and you may even get to see the sea.
The size of the room was fine and there was a capsule coffee machine in the room which was nice for an early morning coffee.
A great choice for something a bit nicer than the other choices in the city center.

Fall in love with Sicily
Had the nicest trip ever with my family in Sicily. #Catania #Sicily #Italia
Visited plenty of places and took the tour bus a must for anyone who is willing to visit Sicily and have an amazing taste of the cultural heritage.
The service in restaurants is amazing and the food is just the best ever, especially the resorts/ restaurants near the seaside if you are a fan of seafood, if not , you need to try restaurants in the old side of Catania and will be amazed.
