Visiting the Kyoto Imperial Palace is like stepping back in time to Japan’s imperial past. The serene gardens and traditional architecture gave me a deep sense of the country’s rich cultural heritage. Located in the heart of Kyoto, the palace offers free guided tours that provide fascinating insights into the lives of Japan’s emperors, as well as the imperial court’s customs and traditions. Walking through the tranquil grounds, surrounded by carefully curated flora and ancient buildings, felt like being transported to a different era. A Palatial Art Museum
If you want to skip the crowds at the Ben Youssef Madrasa or the Bahia Palace, then the Dar El Bacha Museum is for you! I actually spent more time here than at the Ben Yusuf Marissa and in my opinion it’s equally as beautiful but with a lot less crowds, the entry price is a little cheaper too. It was originally a governors Palace and the governor built it in a way that would rival the other beautiful buildings in the city so it’s not as old but it is stunningly beautiful. It also houses some really interesting artefacts from the 18th to 20th centuries.

A palace fit for a King
Lying just outside Paris, is one of France’s most iconic and historical sites: The palace of Versailles.
The home of the nations most famous monarchs all the way up to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, the sheer opulence on display here is a site to behold. Walking around rooms such as the hall of mirrors and the King’s chamber in addition to the expansive gardens it’s not hard to see why there was a detachment between the people and the monarch which eventually led to the French Revolution.

Pena Palace (Palácio da Pena) is a breathtaking Romanticist palace located in Sintra, Portugal. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Portugal's Seven Wonders, it sits atop Serra de Sintra, on the grounds of a former 16th-century monastery. In 1838, King Fernando II acquired the site and played a key role in transforming the old monastery, adding a new wing to create the magnificent palace, which later became a summer residence for the royal family.

A must visit in Seoul!
If you enjoy cultural and historical experiences, this will be your top stop in Seoul. What a contrast to this modern city. This traditional architecture and people coming dressed in hanbok's. Which reminds me, yes one can rent those traditional dresses. Infact it is promoted. Should you be dressed in a hambok, your entrance would be free. (just for information it is otherwise 3000 Korean won which isn't much)
The palace is a splendid experience. It is steeped in history and traditions. It is a massive complex and there is a lot of walking to be done. Even from the nearest metro station I remember it being a bit of walk. The palace complex is filled with spots for pictures and the palace itself is very beautiful. There is lavish decorations, chandeliers and ornate furniture all around. The garden too is equally impressive. Absolutely worthy of a visit!

A wonderful palace
#myhiddengems
This turned out to be surprisingly a nicer experience compared to some very famous spots on my itinerary. I mean the general experience of being at places and the convenience counts too. This was not too crowded and especially becomes even quieter towards the evening. It can feel pricey but the palace is wonderful and worth it.
Your tickets include the main building, the clock museum, the art museum, harem and everything else. My personal favourite was the art museum, some outstanding works of painters worldwide.
They have security guards all around and a policy of not pictures inside. Kind of makes you want to sneak in one or two. The guards don't necessarily look friendly but not a problem. Certain things could have been better, as many rooms are also not really open to visitors in a sense that one cannot take a stroll around them. Yet, plenty to see and keep you interested for 2-3 hours. I think I spent close to 4!

Best Musuem & Gallery in Istanbul
#museums
This was by far the best activity in Istanbul. After a somewhat underwhelming experience with Hagia Sophia, the topkapi palace next door served as the best experience in Istanbul. Its location is gorgeous facing the Bosphorus. Before I get into sharing my personal experience. Here's what i think will exceptionally elevate your experience. That is having a guide.
This palace museum has served an important part of the Ottoman history and continues to be of relevance with half the palace containing rooms for the royal family. The relics on display are some significant ones with history associated with them. Do know that it gets quite crowded as and when cruises arrive, tourist come in hoards. So if you get inside during an hour free from the cruise crowd. The que is likely to move faster.
The museum requires your time and attention. It's better if you don't club it with 10 other things. I guess hagia sophia should be enough since in the same vicinity. The treasury hall with its collection of pieces, relics and even dresses was very impressive. Some management could help since it did get noisy and crowded. Also, carry something to drink. The only small cafe available on the site is out to suck your wallet dry. And it is nothing to brag about. All in all this museum gallery should be in the top of your list in Istanbul.

House goals! The stunning grand palace, Bangkok 🇹🇭
If you’re visiting Bangkok this is a must visit, the Grand Palace. I booked my tickets online in advance, use the palace website and they will send you a QR code to collect tickets when you arrive.
The palace itself is various temples, buildings and statues in a large compound. It can be very busy so try and go very early to beat the crowds.
I was blown away by the detailing and intricate designs of every building and the scale of it was almost overwhelming.
It can get very hot but there is lots of shade, so take breaks when you need too!
There are audio tours or guided tours available but I opted for walking around and taking everything in myself.
You can get there by bus, taxi, tuk tuk or the metro. I got the metro to Sanaa Chai then it’s a ten minute walk
