Negombo Vegetable Market!
Remember this awesome place in Negombo! It's home to one of the oldest vegetable markets, offering fresh produce and a wide variety of options. While it might be a bit pricier than supermarkets, the quality and selection are unbeatable. Plus, I was thrilled to find an abundance of herbal greens perfect for health enthusiasts and vegans alike.#negombo #vegetables #herbalife #vegan
The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the airport
Great location to relax after a flight.
Like many others, we stayed in Negombo, which is the first regular stop for those arriving or departing from Sri Lanka.
The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the airport, and you can also arrange a shuttle service for a fee.
The hotel's location also makes walking around the city very convenient. Very close to the fish market, also has a beautiful balcony view. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were large and clean.
The perfect place to chill and relax, away from the madness of the bustling streets which is a huge plus for a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was strong enough and the shower was good.
It should be noted that my room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. Although the waiter helped with the luggage when I checked in, I still had to carry it down by myself when I checked out.
The accommodation does not come with disposable items such as toothbrushes, and the wifi was very unstable the night I stayed there.

Negombo Lagoon: Teeming with Wildlife
We marveled at the vastness of Negombo Lagoon during our visit today. Negotiable prices mean you can tailor the experience to your budget. The trip offers stunning lagoon views without needing a pre-booked tour. An hour was enough for us, skipping extras like drinks and fruit. Remember to carry cash for negotiating. Ask your driver to take you to the Hamilton Canal Viewpoint and once you’ve turned your back to it, the entrance to the lagoon will be ahead of you! This was really a serene exploration and I would highly recommend it.#negombo #Lagoon #Bird life #peaceful #Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, Negombo stay
Getting There - by plane, Negombo is closer from the airport than Colombo, has wonderful huge sandy beaches and it's easier to travel all around Sri Lanka with daily tours from Negombo
Attractions - Negombo itself has nothing much interesting to see. I took a tuk-tuk driver in front of the hotel and asked him to drive me around and show what is interesting. we went to some bridge, saw how do they say fish on the beach, nothing much compared to hat Sri Lanka can offer you, but it's a good idea if you arrived in the morning or afternoon and don't have time to go somewhere far away, but stil don't want to lose a day.
Hotels - to tell you the truth what I have booked at first, was not what I expected to get. when I have arrived at night my room wasn't ready, even we talked on whatsapp with them and I asked to be ready. there was no balcony ,but it supposed to be according to my booking. so next morning I just woke up and went to the seaside to have my wonderful breakfast facing the ocean and I found many hotels there. so my advice is to book something for 1 day and later find what you really like and can see with your eyes.
Food & Restaurants - food there is simple, but yet delicious. the only problem everything or doesn't work because people there have more holidays than working days, but when they do you can find very nice dishes.
Shopping -there is no shopping in Negombo. as I said most of the days are holidays. that was really strange. shops there are very tiny 1m×1m. you can buy only water there and some snacks. not many options.its not like in Thailand or Vietnam. be aware of shops that sell gems 💎, those gems are for tourist and mostly fake.
if you are a girl and travel alone for your safety and comfort take a private driver. I did it. and it was great.coz men there are hungry.
after all, I really liked Sri Lanka. it's still in my heart. will come back there soon #srilanka #negombo #colombo #mytravelhacks #asia
