I was surprised to learn how easy it is to get to the Buddha head embedded in a banyan tree. Listed as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and famously advertised by many, this is a great day trip! Deciding how to get there and back, what we wanted to see, we opted to rent a motorbike in Bangkok and ride it all the way, sightseeing all day. The nearby sights are as spectacular as visiting the never rebuilt ancient city. Melaka is certainly a very unique place. The local people of Melaka embrace their significant heritage as not only were there Malaysians at the time in history but also Dutch and Portuguese migrants. The architectural beauty still available today and various foods available is an eye-opening experience. Many of the people that passed on during their settlement in Melaka can still be visited at their tombs in the city grave yard and on the hill. #2024wish The year 2023 is a very meaningful year for me because this year, for the very first time, I have dared myself to travel abroad solo, a dream that I have kept for a very long time. Some of the memories that will forever be etched in my heart are the opportunity to visit South Korea and see the unique culture and history of the country, not forgetting the experience of wearing traditional Hanbok while walking around the grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace! I remember all the Korean historical movies and dramas I have watched, and this is definitely a dream comes true! Always attracted to nature and scenery landscapes, Nami Island and The Garden of Morning Calm stood out to be the delightful moments of my trip to South Korea. Nami Island is such a small vibrant island, strolling along its small gravel trails giving out lovely vibes as potrayed in the Korean drama 'Winter Sonata' while the Garden of Morning Calm cheerfully boasting its Millennium Juniper tree, which is estimated to be around 1000 years old, symbolizing strength, wisdom, usefulness and beauty - reminding me that despite difficulties faced in life, there's always hope and that somehow we would survive it. I also had the experience of going through the underground tunnel in the DMZ Area that borders South Korea and North Korea, the same experience that reminded me of the unique experience of going through the Chu Chi underground tunnel while traveling to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam a month earlier. Both countries have had its shares of being affected by wars, and it made my trip to South Korea more meaningful as I could understand how it has shaped its people, their resilience and determination to rise up after such harrowing events. All these experiences made me even more determined to see more of this world, as much as possible, as long as I can and while there is still time. In 2024, my travel target is to feel some snow at the tip of my fingers (sounds like a child's dream I know, but that's what it is 🤭); I want to sip a hot drink while looking in awe at the wonders of nature such as the volcanoe craters landscape and to experience more culture of people around the world. Hence, I don't have a specific country yet, but I believe time will tell, some doors will definitely open and I will fly to those destinations with an open heart, ready to find more wonders! 🕊️

#2024wish Trekking in Peru has always been on top of my list. Being a mountain and nature lover, the Andes are a dream for all of those who love adventure and want to detach from the everyday noice and connect with the peaceful sounds of nature. My husband and I had the privilege of spending one month in Peru, hiking, climbing and sightseeing. The highlight for us was an 8 day trek in the Cordillera Huayhuash. The scenery is truly and literally breathtaking as you find yourself trekking above 3,000m above sea level most of the time, and you can reach 5,200 m on some of the days. Sleeping under a bed of stars and camping in the wild was special. It was worth not having a shower and smelling rotten for 8 days 😂, and would do it all over again! My first Disneyland experience in Shang Hai, China🇨🇳 ! It was a amazing and memorable place. The fireworks is worthy. The deco and building in Disneyland come with a lots effort especially the new Zootopia Park. It was almost 90% perfectly match up with the movie 🍿 🎥 I really enjoyed it! Also, I bought the tickets from Trip.com. It was easily to purchase and used. The only things you need to do was just show your passport to enter the park! I wish to visit the other city in China which is Shen Zhen. #2024wish

#2024wish My fav post COVID trip was to South Africa to see family and friends after 5 years. I did the following route : Johannesburg , Durban, George, Pretoria in 3 weeks. As usual, the most fabulous scenery and delicious foods and there are plenty of amazing photos from each area of this trip, but more so the top foods we had every single day. South Africa itself is so large and has so many wonderful places to visit in each area. My favourite on this trip was the Garden Route , the first image is Wilderness Beach , and the second image is the fabulous Guest House called Moontide which is part of the Luxury Collection. The last image is the Lighthouse in Umhlanga Rocks from the hotel restaurant where we had a fabulous seafood platter! For 2024, my wish it to travel to Costa Rica

Belém Tower was first built to defend Lisbon. Years later, it was transformed into a lighthouse and then a tourist attraction. Inside Belém Tower, the ground floor of this architectural jewel has 16 windows with cannons. The visit also includes a tour of the pits and holes where the prisoners were thrown into, with other five floors to discover. During my visit to Belem, we took the train from Lisbon Port. I suggest going there just before the sunset, because the view is magnificent, you can see from the photos. I did not go inside the tower, but if you are a historic adic, I suggest going in. Turns out, they actually opened a branch in Tsim Sha Tsui last year, and it was doing really well, so they decided to expand 🎉🏙️. However, the interior design is completely different. They mentioned that they have grass dance performances every Friday and Saturday, which adds a fun and interesting element to the dining experience 🌿🎶. Speaking of the food I had, I opted for some of their more unique dishes 🍽️🌟. The cold appetizer of Hummus was delicious, especially when paired with a drizzle of olive oil to enhance the flavors 🫒😋. The hot appetizers were also quite impressive 🔥👌. As for the main course, I ordered the chicken roll, which was packed with flavor 🍗🍚. It was wrapped in rice and the chicken was incredibly tender. I heard they slow-cook it for 8 hours, so they really put a lot of effort into it, and the sauce was also very unique 🕒👨🍳. Finally, I tried one of their desserts, which had a great depth of flavors, and I paired it with a floral tea. Even the teapot had its own charm 🍰🌺. San Marino is a micro-country completely surrounded by Italy but is independent from Italy. Nestled in the mountains of the Adriatic Sea a few hours south of Venice, it’s often overlooked by travelers. It’s the oldest country in the world and has incredible things to do (not to mention breathtaking views!). 1. One of the best things to do in San Marino is to enjoy the views! The towering walls of the town often have peeks into the countryside, giving you a chance to look wherever you are 2. The most popular public square in San Marino. There are a number of shops in the square and places to eat. The Palazzo Pubblico, San Marino’s town hall, and iconic building are also located here. You can even see the changing of the guard here. 3. There are three towers that overlook the city and the countryside. They’re at the top of Monte. Wear comfortable shoes as the roads are hilly and uneven. It’s a 30-degree uphill walk, so be sure to enjoy the sights and visit the few shops that dot the way. 4. Guaita Tower is the oldest and grandest of the three. Built during the 11th century, it also packed a lot of history. To get to the top, there is a very steep “staircase” – which is more like a ladder. Good to know if you’re afraid of heights. 5. The Cesta Tower is on the highest peak of Monte Titano. There is a museum inside displaying an impressive collection of weapons. The weapons date back to medieval times and continue to the present day. This museum also showcases how San Marino stood through wars and cultural impacts and yet still maintained its independence. It’s interesting to see all of the history in this tiny country. 6. One of the most memorable places we've visited in Singapore last year is the Resorts World Sentosa 🏝 Entry is free. However, famous attractions found inside the complex, such as Universal Studios, require a fee. We were able to access the area by riding a cable car from Harbourfront Tower two. Remember to check for promos as you may be able to avail unlimited cable car rides for affordable price. I really enjoyed strolling around the area as there are plenty of food stalls and souvenir shops to choose from. I also love the colourful decorations and the gigantic Merlion, which are photoworthy! If you visit the island of Sentosa, make sure to stop by at the Resorts World Sentosa. It is definitely worth your time! #2024wish Walked around to Tokyo tower from Roppongi station. It’s took around 30 mins. The nearest station for JR is the Tamachi station, from there to the tower it could take around 20 mins by walk. Tokyo tower is stunning with its shrine on the base of tower. As of 2nd February, the Sakura trees are trying to make its buds. Waiting for blooming on around 23th of March according to this year’s forecast. Only the visitors who participate in the "Top Deck Tour" (using the advance reservation system) are admitted to the Top Deck. After visiting the Catedral de la Almudena, head off to the side, you will be in the middle of the cathedral and royal palace. Here there are some people playing music and you can walk to the end to enjoy some beautiful views of the mountains. On a sunny day it is stunning to witness such sights and sounds. Many people take time to soak in the views and have a walk around this area as you can see both the Royal palace and the cathedral.
