48 hours Flash trip to Copenhagen? Why not!
Copenhagen.
48-hour flash trip to Copenhagen? Why not!
Copenhagen, known as *the capital of Hygge*, is expensive for everything (except for transportation). Hence, here are 10 free attractions and money-saving tips for Copenhagen:
1. Stroll around Nyhavn. Whether it's daytime or evening, it offers different vibes.
2. Visit the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum on the last Wednesday of each month for free. The second floor showcases works by Impressionist masters like Monet, Van Gogh, and Gauguin.
3. Visit Thorvaldsens Museum for free every Wednesday.
4. Wondering around the Open market: TorvehallerneKBH in the city center. The food is expensive though, so just feast with your eyes.
5. Wander the streets. Along Gråbrødretorv, Strøget, or Værnedamsvej, you'll find old houses, cafes, and home goods stores filled with Hygge elements.
6. Visit Nordic churches. Surprisingly, most churches in Copenhagen are free to enter. Whether it's the minimalist Church of Our Lady or the grand Frederik's Church with the largest dome in Scandinavia, they bring a sense of inner peace.
7. Explore the Royal Library, and take a walk along the canal to admire Nordic architecture.
8. Check out Nyboder, a filming location for *The Danish Girl*. These rows of simple yellow buildings, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, were once naval barracks. Nearby, Kastellet, a star-shaped fortress, is still an active military base. There are guards at the entrance, but locals prefer jogging around its walls.
9. Travelling from the airport to the city, whether by train or metro, it costs only DKK 30 (HKD 33.6), which is quite reasonable for European airport transportation. Metro day passes are also available—details can be found via the DOT Ticket app.
10. If accommodation in Copenhagen is too expensive, consider staying in nearby cities like Malmö or Helsingør, which are within an hour's travel time. Factoring in transportation costs, it might be cheaper than staying in Copenhagen itself.
Some might say traveling to Scandinavia is always expensive, and that people without money shouldn’t go. But this journey to discover Nordic happiness led me to read *The Little Book of Hygge* before my trip, and I learned that Hygge isn’t about spending more to gain happiness. If high costs make you uncomfortable, you’ve missed the point of Hygge.

Mauritius is a must-visit! Not every island is visa-free.
Africa is not just about the savannah. It is also home to the "original paradise" described by Mark Twain, Mauritius, the pearl of the Indian Ocean.
This is one of the most popular island resorts for Westerners. It is no exaggeration to say that it is comparable to Hawaii. On this subtropical island, you can not only enjoy the unique beauty of the underwater waterfall in Mauritius, but also follow the dolphins and enjoy a romantic vacation with blue waters and white sand beaches.
In addition, Mauritius is visa-free for Chinese citizens. You can travel smoothly with just a passport and no complicated procedures. The price is not expensive compared to other high-end islands. You can enjoy a high-end island at a mid-range price, which is very cost-effective!
7 days and 5 nights in Mauritius:
DAY 1 Arrival, private transfer, check in, free time
DAY 2 Catamaran dolphin watching, BBQ at sea
DAY 3 Helicopter tour of the underwater waterfall + lunch at a mountain restaurant + walk with lions
DAY 4 Free time, book free water activities at the hotel (kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc., subject to hotel arrangements)
DAY 5 Visit Île aux Cerfs, comparable to Tahiti
DAY 6 Northern cultural tour, visit Port Louis, Royal Botanic Gardens, Red Roof Church, Caudan Waterfront, and the filming location of the movie "Breakup Buddies", transfer to the airport after the tour
DAY 7 Return home

A classic double private hot spring courtyard, I always like to stay in rooms with tatami mats, because the photos taken on the tatami mats are always great. The room facilities include a XGIMI projector and giant screen, TOTO toilet, and smart home facilities. Just call "Xiaodu" to control the curtains, lights, and other facilities. The private hot spring pools are available indoors and outdoors, and the temperature can be adjusted. After a soak, I feel so relaxed, and then I can lie in bed and watch a movie in the evening. Beijing Metro Line 3 Finally Opens After Half a Century
On December 15, 2024, Beijing Metro Line 3 finally opened after 60 years of waiting 🎉
I had seen the reserved mysterious platform at Dongsi Shitiao 🚉
The metro line was first proposed in the 1970s
After 60 years, it finally returned to the Beijing metro network family~
Beijing Metro Line 3, like Lines 1 and 2, is one of the earliest planned lines in Beijing
In 1956, five Soviet experts came to Beijing and guided the drawing of the earliest Beijing metro plan
When Dongsi Shitiao Station on Line 2 was built in 1971, the platform and concourse of Line 3 were reserved under the concourse
Completed in 1984, it was rated as one of the top ten buildings in Beijing in the 1980s, and the only underground building among them
I remember last time I went to Chengde, I had to take a taxi to Chaoyang Station 🚕
Now the metro is seamlessly connected to 🚄 Chaoyang Railway Station, which is very convenient 🎉
If you like taking photos, you must visit Chaoyang Station
The newly opened west square and concourse of Beijing Chaoyang Station are a bit like Daxing Airport ✈️
The Chaoyang Comprehensive Hub Transfer Station is composed of a single-layer steel box girder reticulated shell structure, which is very spectacular 😮
There are also signs of meeting points on the pillars of Chaoyang Station on Line 3
It's so convenient to meet up with friends, such a thoughtful design ♥️

I recommend a beautiful place to see the sea near Guangzhou, which can be reached directly by Shenzhen Metro. Now there are few people and beautiful scenery, and the accommodation is very cheap~

Alexandria is not worth it
Egypt's second largest city
If you are traveling from Cairo for six hours, I really don't recommend it
We were on our way back from Siwa/Marsa Matruh and stopped by for a day trip
·
There are basically no monuments to see
The monuments that can be seen are mediocre compared to the attractions on the southern line
The Library of Alexandria was rebuilt on the original site (speculated)
The Citadel of Qaitbay was also rebuilt on the original site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the original Seven Wonders of the World
·
The self-driving experience is not very good
The roads are narrow and the traffic is chaotic
The public transportation we saw was mainly minibuses
They stop when you wave
I don't know exactly where to go or how to get there
·
It is definitely impossible to say that there are no scammers or harassment
But it is indeed much better than Cairo

Chengdu - Qingyang Temple - Flowering Plum
The flowering plums at Chengdu's Qingyang Temple are now at their peak!
The flowering plums at Qingyang Temple, anticipated all year, are finally in bloom!
Resembling both plum and peach blossoms, yet neither, this flower is a hybrid of the double-flowered pink plum and the purple-leaf plum, a mixed-blood variety.
Qingyang Temple, originally named Qingyang Si, was first built during the Zhou Dynasty, approximately 3,000 years ago.
Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty took refuge in Sichuan and used this temple as his temporary palace, hence the name change to Qingyang Temple. The existing buildings were gradually rebuilt and restored during the Qing Dynasty, under the reign of Emperor Kangxi.
Currently, 80% of the flowering plums are in bloom, and the flowering period is expected to last for another week, so visit soon!
The flowers are low-hanging, making them perfect for portraits without the need for elevation.
Next to the flowering plums stands a 240-year-old camphor tree, which served as the prototype for the fruit tree in the 1983 version of *Journey to the West*, in the scene where the fruit of immortality is stolen. During filming, the art department significantly modified the base of the tree, adding a pedestal, which makes it look slightly different from the "fruit of immortality tree" in the show.
Location: Qingyang Temple, Chengdu. The plum blossoms are located to the right of the Sanqing Hall.
Subway: Take Subway Line 5 to Qingyang Temple Station, Exit C. Direct subway access!
Food and Drink: Vegetarian meals are served at 11:30 am for CNY 15 per person. If you get tired from taking photos, there's a teahouse in the Tangwang Hall where you can relax and enjoy some tea.
Nearby Attractions: Culture Park, Sui and Tang Dynasties Kiln Site Museum, Baihuatan Park, Sichuan Museum, and Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum are all nearby. You can choose to visit any of these attractions that interest you.
No Special Forces! 3-Day 2-Night Family Trip to Changsha
I just got back from Changsha with my kids, and I really felt the enthusiasm of the people of Changsha.
I want to take my kids to check in and play, but I don't want to be too tired.
Save this guide■ and take your time to experience a different Changsha!
"My Day Tour Route"
Day 1: Bisha Lake Subway Station - Meixi Lake Knot Bridge - Huangxing Square - Wuyi Square
Day ❷: Meixi Lake Art Center - Yuelu Mountain - Orange Isle
I took my kids to these places:
1️⃣ Orange Isle
2️⃣ Meixi Lake Knot Bridge
3️⃣ Wuyi Square
4️⃣ Bisha Lake Subway Station
5️⃣ Huangxing Square
6️⃣ Yuelu Mountain
7️⃣ Meixi Lake Art Center
💢💢💢
Traveling with kids, rest is so important~ I chose the [The Luxury Collection Changsha Jinmao Hotel], which is quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The hotel service is very warm, and you can rest well while traveling.
📍Location
It is very close to the subway station, and the subway line 2 goes directly to it. Next to it is the Meixi Lake Art Center, which is very close to Orange Isle, Yuelu Mountain, and the Chinese Knot Bridge. It is very convenient to take photos and check in. Wuyi Square is directly accessible by subway.
The hotel room is spacious, and the Meixi Lake Art Center is right outside the window, with a great view! The bath is Byredo, the bathrobe is flannel, and there is Asuri magazine!
The children's favorite is the hotel's pet park, where they can play for a long time: horses, deer, alpacas, lop-eared rabbits, piglets, etc. can all interact, and there is also a small playground next to it.
The hotel's infinity pool is really romantic, with a great view, and the gym and spa are also very good. The lobby bar combines elegance and modern design. When you are tired of playing, you can have an afternoon tea with both looks and taste. The design is full of Changsha culture, and you can see the little thoughts everywhere.
Restaurant🍴
The dining environment of the Wild Restaurant on the first floor is very comfortable, with a wide variety of food in the morning, and it is very delicious. My two kids are very satisfied with the food every day! The dinner buffet is very complete, with a variety of global dishes, and you can also eat local Hunan cuisine! There are also various internet-famous restaurants around the hotel.
I really love Changsha, wait for good weather, and set off again on a weekend~

🗺️ Route
d1 Dajingfan → Dukezong Ancient Town
d2 Songzanlin Monastery → Napa Lake → Black Bean Coffee
d3 Pudacuo National Park
.
day1
➡️ Dajingfan
Arrive at Dajingfan around 12:00, when the lighting is best for photos. We recommend wearing Tibetan clothes for the best photos.
➡️ Dukezong Ancient Town
We recommend these shops: "Sangji Weina Vintage Bookstore, Old Tibet, and Pugu Cang." They're all great to visit. The classic photo spot in the ancient town is shown in picture 2. Navigate to "Zangjiwang Inn" and then go to Guishan Park to overlook the ancient town and spin the prayer wheel.
.
day2
➡️ Songzanlin Monastery
Known as the "Little Potala Palace," it is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. It's a great place for photos! Highly recommended!
➡️ Napa Lake - Black Bean Coffee
The view from the window is stunning, and there's a healing little farm! Take bus No. 3 from Songzanlin Monastery to Hongtaiyang Square Station, then take bus No. 12 to Napa Lake. Bus No. 12 is a loop line, with the starting and ending points both at Hongtaiyang Square. Get off at Napa Lake when you see the beautiful scenery. Take bus No. 12 back to Jiantang Police Station (near the north gate of the ancient town).
.
day3
It's easy to get altitude sickness when you first arrive, so we recommend staying around the ancient town. On the third day, you can go further: Yubeng, Pudacuo National Park, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Meili Snow Mountain, etc.
➡️ Pudacuo National Park
Bus: Buy tickets at the Dukezong Ancient Town East Gate Bus Station (CNY 15 per person).
Self-driving: Navigate to the Pudacuo National Park Ticket Office. There are parking spaces at the entrance. The drive takes about 30 minutes.
.
🔖 Tips
❶ The temperature difference between day and night is large, so dress warmly. The UV rays are strong, and the weather is dry, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated.
❷ Try not to wash your hair on the first night. Eating less meat can help reduce altitude sickness. Open the window a little at night to improve air circulation, which can help relieve altitude sickness.

The first Maldivian resort opened by Chinese people - the cost performance ratio is amazing!
The Maldives Le Yi Resort Kunawasi Island, which opened in May last year, is one of the few islands in the Maldives that can combine snorkeling and sea views. The sapphire lagoon water makes people fall into this dreamy beauty at a glance. The hotel is also surrounded by many famous nurse sharks and dolphin haunts in the Maldives. Dolphins can often be seen on the island.
This island has no seagrass. The selected sand is particularly delicate. The vegetation on the island is still in the growth stage, but it does not affect the privacy of the sand house. This is a resort hotel with a high cost performance ratio. The transportation cost to the island is only 200 US dollars per person. It is precisely because of this that although everything is available, it is definitely not comparable to luxury islands. It is a high-quality choice for pursuing cost performance!
It is worth mentioning that the owner of this resort hotel is Chinese. This is also the first resort hotel opened by Chinese people in the Maldives. The hotel is a brand new hotel brand. My feeling after staying is that the overall is not bad. Worth a stay!

Travel guide! Spend a day exploring Vientiane
As the capital of Laos, Vientiane didn't leave me with many special impressions and memories, possibly because of our itinerary, which only included a brief stay of one and a half days, and we didn't have much time to discover the charm of this city.
📖 Itinerary:
Morning: Wat Si Muang, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Si Saket
Afternoon: That Luang, Patuxai
▪️Wat Si Muang is the most popular temple in Vientiane, and many devotees still come here to pray. The temple is not very large, but it has many statues with different expressions, and the building is brightly colored. It feels like it has been recently renovated, but this also means that it lacks the historical charm of an ancient temple.
▪️Wat Phra Kaew was once the place where the Emerald Buddha was enshrined, but it was moved to Bangkok during the Siamese rule. Now it is a small religious art museum, and the temple displays some statues and Buddhist collections. The corridors on both sides of the temple are a good place to take photos.
▪️Wat Si Saket is located opposite Wat Phra Kaew. There are many ancient pagodas surrounding the temple. The most famous one is the hall and corridors with over 2,000 statues.
▪️That Luang is a must-visit temple in Vientiane. It is famous for enshrining the relics of Sakyamuni. It consists of a huge golden pagoda and several side halls. The huge reclining Buddha on the right side of the pagoda is the most photogenic. Apart from being more majestic and spectacular than other temples, it has no other characteristics.
▪️Patuxai is a landmark of Vientiane. Although it shares the same name as the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, it is actually a victory monument, built to commemorate the people who died in the Laotian War of Independence. The ceiling of Patuxai is decorated with paintings of figures from Buddhist mythology, and there are also statues of Buddha on the four pillars. If you have time, you can also pay to climb up and have a look. The fountain at the entrance of Patuxai was built with the help of China. There is a fountain show every night at 6:00. To be honest, the effect is quite good, mainly because it is at sunset, and the afterglow of the sun dyes the sky, adding a romantic touch to Patuxai.
▫️The night market by the river in Vientiane is very lively. In addition to the night market, there are also many restaurants, bars, and massage parlors nearby, but most of them close at 10:00. It is really a lazy and Buddhist city.
Maldives diving spot.

Shanghai is just a 30-minute high-speed train ride away from this ancient town!
With the opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway, more and more hidden gems are being discovered.
Lili Ancient Town is everything I imagined an ancient town to be.
After seeing so many commercialized ancient towns, I realized how rare Lili is. There are no cookie-cutter photo spots or grilled squid stalls here. Instead, you'll find small bridges, flowing water, and traditional houses with flying eaves. You'll see women washing clothes by the river, old men sunbathing, and shop owners busy preparing lunch.
Lili's history dates back 2,500 years. As the doors and windows creak open, I cross more than 20 stone bridges and 150 alleys. The old dreams sheltered by the misty corridors fill me with energy as I immerse myself in the ancient town's rustic charm.
📍 Name: Lili Ancient Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou
💰 Admission: Free (some attractions charge a fee)
🚘 Self-driving: 1 hour from Suzhou city center
🚄 High-speed train: 30 minutes from Shanghai Hongqiao to Suzhou South Station
Take a taxi or bus for 20–30 minutes to reach the town.
🎁 [Before you go]
⚠️ To celebrate the opening of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway, high-speed train passengers can exchange their tickets for a free pass to the scenic area at the Lili Visitor Center within 7 days of arriving in Wujiang. You can also use your train ticket to get discounts at hotels, restaurants, and more.
🎞️ Lili Ancient Town was a filming location for the TV series "Good League Member".
📸 If you want to take photos in traditional Chinese clothing or a qipao, you'll need to bring your own clothes and makeup, as there are no costume shops in the ancient town.
🗺️ The ancient town is small, but the shops are full of surprises. Behind the small storefronts, you'll find intangible cultural heritage crafts, private museums, and time-honored restaurants. Take your time to explore.
🏨 Accommodation: The ancient town has mid-range and high-end homestays. We stayed at Lixuan Academy, which offers great value for money in the off-season. There are many chain restaurants and drink shops nearby, and food delivery is very convenient.

Fukuoka Winter Slow Life | A Comfortable and Leisurely City Walk Guide
| A Comfortable and Leisurely City Walk Guide.
🚶♂️❄️
Want to travel to Japan in winter but are afraid of the cold? Don't worry, Fukuoka is here to help! 🔥 Fukuoka is super warm in winter, with daytime temperatures averaging in the teens, so it's not "freezing" at all. It's perfect for outdoor activities, and the pace is super slow, making it a great place to relax! 😌
👉 First stop: A romantic encounter at Fukuoka Tower 🗼
How can you visit Fukuoka without checking in at "Fukuoka Tower"? This 234-meter-high seaside tower is a landmark of Fukuoka, and you can overlook the entire city of Fukuoka and Hakata Bay from the top of the tower. Standing in front of the Apple Store, look up at the sky and you'll see the iconic communication tower, which is often mistaken for Fukuoka Tower! But that's okay, a photo with the communication tower is also super cool! ✨
🛍️ Second stop: A trendy feast on Tenjin Shopping Street 🛍️
The area around Tenjin is a trendy mecca in Fukuoka! A treasure trove for vintage lovers, there are many famous chain vintage stores and famous Amekaji stores like Real McCoy, where you can find a lot of nice clothes just by browsing! 😍
☕️ Third stop: A leisurely time in Yakuin 🌿
If you ask me which area I like the most, I would definitely recommend Yakuin, where there are many beautiful coffee shops and grocery stores, especially the grocery store represented by B•B•B potters, which is really healing to browse and super suitable for taking photos! 📸
[Fukuoka Travel Tips]
🔹 Shops in Fukuoka also close relatively early, so plan your shopping early.
🔹 There are few trash cans on the street, so remember to bring your own trash bags or look for convenience stores to dispose of your trash.
🔹 Hotel check-in time is usually after 2 pm and check-out time is before 11 am. You can store your luggage at the hotel if you arrive early.
🔹 Fukuoka has a very developed public transportation system, but it can be crowded during peak hours, so it is recommended to plan your travel route and time in advance.
🔹 When tasting local food, try some small restaurants or street stalls, where you can often find unexpected delicacies at more affordable prices.
👑 [Must-visit Places in Fukuoka]
▫ Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine: A great place to pray for academic and career success.
▫ Ohori Park: Take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the natural scenery.
▫ Fukuoka Castle: Feel the charm of history.
▫ Futamigaura Beach: Feel the sea breeze and enjoy the tranquility of the beach.
🍽️ [Food Recommendations]
✅ Beef Tripe Hot Pot 🍲
A favorite of offal lovers, remember to order a bowl of ramen/udon with the soup, it's really delicious 😋
Recommendation: 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
✅ Kanetora Dipping Noodles 🍜
The ramen is very chewy, and the hot soup made from pork bones is very rich. Add a little chili powder, then let the noodles be covered with the soup, and you'll be hooked 😱
Recommendation: 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
✅ Katsuretsutei Tonkatsu 🍖
Thick-cut black pork set (💰3190y) with a crispy thin batter on the outside and tender juicy meat on the inside, dipped in your own ground sesame seeds + tonkatsu sauce (Japanese/Western style), the taste is superb! No wonder it's a Michelin must-eat recommendation 😍
Recommendation: 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
📝 [Experience Sharing]
1️⃣ Accommodation: I chose a B&B near Kasuga Station on the JR line (4 subway stops from Hakata), which is far from the business district but quiet, and only costs 800+ RMB for 5 nights, suitable for budget travelers.
2️⃣ Transportation: Japanese transportation is very punctual, so be sure to check the train number and time carefully, and ask the staff if you are not sure, they are all very nice!
3️⃣ JR PASS: Northern Kyushu 3-day/5-day pass, highly recommended! You won't feel bad about the transportation cost.
I hope this guide will help you, and I wish you a pleasant trip to Fukuoka! 🌟✨
