The first building is The South Redoubt, which was the main entrance to the defensive fortress at the time. The South Redoubt has three floors, with a guard room on the second floor and cannons on the third floor that overlook the entire castle.
During the visit, an actor soldier took the time to tell us a short story about an event at Niagara Castle and introduced the gun he was holding. He even fired a shot for us to see, which was my first time seeing a gun spark up close!
Kyushu Flower Viewing Spots
Takefune Mountain Park - Known as Kyushu's most beautiful Japanese garden, it offers different sceneries in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The guide took real shots for us of the spectacular 'Azalea Valley' during the azalea season, with Takefune Mountain as the backdrop, about 200,000 azalea plants bloom, forming a complete carpet of flowers.
Yutoku Inari Shrine - Along with Fushimi Inari and Kasama Inari, it is known as one of Japan's three major Inari shrines. Spring Check-in at Shantou Landmark: Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion
Located in Shantou city, the Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion was built in 1934. It was initiated by Lee Pek Huan, the owner of the Nansheng Company in Shantou and an overseas Chinese from Indonesia. After the construction of Guoping, Anping, and Shengping roads in Shantou city, a large open space was created at the intersection of the three roads. With the advocacy and fundraising efforts of the Nansheng Company and approval from the municipal government, the Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion was built in the center of this open space. Flowers and trees were planted around it, and benches were provided for visitors to rest, hence the name 'Little Park'.
The pavilion employs dozens of traditional Chinese mortise and tenon techniques. The caisson ceiling inside the pavilion is constructed in layers, each layer fitting into the next, creating a total of 23 layers from bottom to top without using a single nail. The architecture is quite exquisite.
As one of the cultural landmarks of Shantou, a 'Century-old Commercial Port', the Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion carries countless memories of the Chaoshan people. It is not just a building, but a work of art, and a must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Shantou.

Sun Moon Lake in Taichung: A Perfect Way to Admire the Scenery
Located in the central part of Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Taiwan. We chose to take a boat tour across the lake, where the water is as blue as a mirror, reflecting the sky and the silhouettes of the mountains, creating a moving ink painting.
The captain docked at a pier on the opposite shore, allowing us to explore the island and taste the famous Grandma's tea leaf eggs.

Perfect Weather for a Visit to Tsing Shan Monastery, a Tribute to Bruce Lee
The sky is high and the air is brisk, making it the perfect time to check in here. Tsing Shan Monastery, also known as Tsing Shan Temple, is located at the eastern foot of Castle Peak in Tuen Mun and is the foremost among the three ancient temples of Hong Kong. In 1973, Bruce Lee filmed 'Enter the Dragon' here, precisely because of its ancient and solemn atmosphere, and its quiet and ethereal surroundings. In the movie, Bruce Lee had a dialogue with Ji Hong and sparred with Nora Miao right here. Therefore, this place is also one of the locations of the first 'Bruce Lee Trail', attracting many Bruce Lee fans to visit every year to remember the star's charisma. 👍👍👍
Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village: A Scenic Classic Filming Location on Shodoshima, Shikoku
On a recent trip to Shodoshima in Shikoku, Japan, I opted for a local day tour, one of the highlights being the Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village. Just a 700-meter walk from Tanoura Fishing Port, it's a hidden gem where you can gaze out at the captivating Seto Inland Sea, feeling as though you've stepped right into a film scene, surrounded by a serene and leisurely ambiance.
The village also recreates numerous scenes from novels and movies, offering visitors a heightened sense of immersion and presence.
Spring 2024 Hotspots! Revisiting Elephant Trunk Rock, Safe Return!
Elephant Trunk Rock, also known as 'Kapibara-kun', recently suffered damage due to strong winds and waves that broke off its 'trunk', making the cross-section resemble a capybara. Despite the change, the old name sticks. There's no shade on top, but if you walk down, there are many towering rocks forming natural pavilions for a restful break while enjoying the seascape. Some even use the rocks as a desk for their laptops to work remotely (talk about resourceful)! As there are no man-made paths or handrails, and the natural rocks can be quite slippery and uneven, please walk carefully, make sure you're stable before taking the next step, so you can enjoy your visit and return safely 👍.👏👏👏
Watkins Glen State Park: Ideal for Hiking in Spring
Watkins Glen State Park has no admission fee, yet the public facilities are very well-maintained. There's a spacious plaza and a small visitor center that has everything you need.
The trails are also well-constructed, with winding paths through the valley featuring well-laid paths, stairways, caves, and bridges, allowing you to hike to the top without the need for rock climbing.
The state park is essentially a two-mile-long narrow gorge with a thin stream running through it. However, within this short three-kilometer stretch, the stream spirals down four hundred feet, creating nineteen waterfalls along the way, and with the towering rock walls on both sides, the scenery is stunningly beautiful.
Breathtaking Niagara Falls: A Must-See Canadian Experience
Experience the breathtaking Niagara Falls up close on the Canadian side! Niagara Falls is one of the top waterfall attractions in the world, and witnessing its grandeur in person is truly awe-inspiring. The falls straddle the border between New York State in the USA and Ontario in Canada. Niagara Falls is divided into the 'American side' and the 'Canadian side,' each offering a different view. It has long been said that the view from the Canadian side is superior, providing a more comprehensive and spectacular perspective. If you take a boat ride for a close-up experience, boats from either country will take you right in front of the falls for an exhilarating sensation of being drenched by the waterfall's spray. This part of the experience is the same no matter which country's boat you're on!

A Unique Attraction Worth the Trip
This morning, I made a trip to Katsuo-ji Temple in the outskirts of Osaka. It's a bit out of the way, but for the Daruma dolls, it was worth the special trip. The temple offers free blank postcards, which you can turn into adorable stamped postcards at six different stamping stations. Cute Daruma dolls can be seen all over the park, adding a touch of whimsy❤️. After a long ride, it was certainly worthwhile👍!
Spring Check-in at Nanning by Night
This time, let's highlight a popular night market in Nanning—Nanning by Night. The overall architectural style is reminiscent of the Tang Dynasty's Ever-bright City, but with a Guangxi twist, located in the Wuxiang New District of Nanning on Songyao Road (near the Guangxi Museum of Art and Central Park).
Nanning by Night is truly photogenic! There's no admission fee, and it's definitely worth a visit. The lighting is well-coordinated, with lights from start to finish, and there are performances to watch, making it perfect for taking photos.
The streets on both sides are lined with food stalls, offering a wide variety of dishes. However, the prices tend to be on the higher side, so it's recommended not to have a big meal inside, but trying some snacks is still a good idea.
Nanning by Night doesn't charge an admission fee; it's free to enter. It's a great place to visit in the evening, and an hour's stroll is sufficient.

Spring Visit to Xinshi Ancient Town in Huzhou
Xinshi Ancient Town, one of the ancient towns in the Jiangnan water town region, is located in the eastern part of Deqing County, Huzhou City, with a long history of over 1700 years. The town is named after the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou that passes through it. Although it is not often mentioned in travel guides for Huzhou, Xinshi Ancient Town has its unique charm.
Unlike the highly commercialized ancient towns in Jiangnan, Xinshi has always retained its own 'flavor,' and the overall appearance of the town has been very well preserved. Here, there is not too much noise and commercial atmosphere, and the shops along the street by the river are not specifically set up to attract tourists, so visitors are relatively scarce, mainly consisting of local residents.
The residents here live a leisurely life, drinking tea, reading newspapers, playing chess, and fishing, filled with a strong sense of humanity. Visiting Xinshi Ancient Town does not require a ticket, so it is known as a living water town ancient town, worth wandering around.

A Serene and Poetic Atmosphere
Hong Kong people can easily climb 'Baiyun Mountain' in Guangzhou 😝😝😝
I recommend taking the electric shuttle from the North Gate to go up the mountain, and then take the Baiyun Cableway from the mountain top square down to the South Gate!
There are restaurants and convenience stores on the mountain, and several scenic spots along the way to check in, which are so convenient and healing! (Mingzhu Tower, Mountain Top Square, Moxing Ridge...)
Ogata Village's Cherry Blossoms and Canola Flowers
The county road lined with cherry blossoms and canola flowers in Ogata Village is one of the top flower viewing spots in the Tohoku region of Japan. Stretching for 11 kilometers, the road is flanked by approximately 3,700 cherry trees, including varieties such as Somei Yoshino and double-flowered cherries, as well as about 11.2 hectares of canola flower fields. During the peak season, the vivid contrast of the cherry blossoms' pink and the canola flowers' bright yellow creates an intensely colorful spectacle that overwhelms the senses and captures the heart.
