Taormina is majestic 🏛️
#traveldiaries
Taormina, Sicily, was pure magic! Perched high on a cliff, the views of the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Etna are absolutely stunning. I spent the day exploring the ancient Greek Theatre, which costs around €10 for entry. The amphitheater is well-preserved and still hosts performances—imagine watching a show with that view! Afterwards, I wandered down Corso Umberto, Taormina’s main street, filled with charming shops, cafes, and gelato stands.
One of the highlights was taking the cable car down to Isola Bella, a tiny island and nature reserve with crystal-clear waters. You can swim, sunbathe, or just admire the beauty for about €4 to access the beach. The atmosphere is so relaxed, and the blend of history, culture, and natural beauty makes Taormina unforgettable. Every corner felt like a postcard, and I can’t wait to return! 🏛️🌅🍋

Visiting Taormina was like stepping into a dream! 🌟 This charming town on Sicily’s east coast has it all: stunning views, rich history, and incredible food. The highlight of my visit was the ancient *Greek Theatre* – the entrance fee was around 10 EUR, but the panoramic views of Mount Etna and the coast are absolutely worth it. Walking through the ruins while imagining ancient performances was a real treat.
The *Corso Umberto* is perfect for leisurely strolls, lined with boutique shops and cozy cafés. I indulged in some local gelato and enjoyed people-watching from a charming piazza. Nearby, the *Isola Bella* is a small island with beautiful beaches and clear waters, ideal for a relaxing afternoon.
Don’t miss the *Villa Comunale*, a lovely garden with spectacular views of the sea and mountains. Taormina blends history, nature, and Italian charm effortlessly – it’s a place I’ll definitely return to! 🌺 #trip #Taormina #SicilianBeauty #GreekTheatre #TravelItaly #CoastalCharm

Spending a few days in Taormina, Sicily, was an absolute dream! 🏛️ This hilltop town has the perfect mix of ancient history, stunning views, and that laid-back Mediterranean vibe. The highlight of my visit was definitely the ancient Greek Theatre (Teatro Greco). The entrance fee was around €10, and it’s worth every penny to sit in this ancient amphitheater and take in the panoramic views of the sea and Mount Etna in the distance. 🌋 The theater is still used for concerts and plays, making it feel like history is alive here.
After exploring the theater, I wandered down Corso Umberto, Taormina’s main pedestrian street, lined with cute boutiques, gelato shops, and charming cafes. I stopped for a granita (Sicilian slushy) with almond flavor – it was so refreshing in the warm sun! 🍧 The town’s Piazza IX Aprile offers amazing views of the coastline, and it’s the perfect spot to relax and people-watch. 🏖️
In the afternoon, I took the cable car down to Isola Bella, a tiny island connected to the beach by a strip of sand. Swimming in the crystal-clear waters and relaxing on the pebble beach was so refreshing. For a day trip, visiting Mount Etna was a must – the sight of this active volcano is just awe-inspiring. 🌄 Taormina is truly the jewel of Sicily, full of history, natural beauty, and delicious food! #trip #Taormina #Sicily #GreekTheatre #MountEtna #MediterraneanMagic
