48 hours Flash trip to Copenhagen? Why not!
Copenhagen.
48-hour flash trip to Copenhagen? Why not!
Copenhagen, known as *the capital of Hygge*, is expensive for everything (except for transportation). Hence, here are 10 free attractions and money-saving tips for Copenhagen:
1. Stroll around Nyhavn. Whether it's daytime or evening, it offers different vibes.
2. Visit the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum on the last Wednesday of each month for free. The second floor showcases works by Impressionist masters like Monet, Van Gogh, and Gauguin.
3. Visit Thorvaldsens Museum for free every Wednesday.
4. Wondering around the Open market: TorvehallerneKBH in the city center. The food is expensive though, so just feast with your eyes.
5. Wander the streets. Along Gråbrødretorv, Strøget, or Værnedamsvej, you'll find old houses, cafes, and home goods stores filled with Hygge elements.
6. Visit Nordic churches. Surprisingly, most churches in Copenhagen are free to enter. Whether it's the minimalist Church of Our Lady or the grand Frederik's Church with the largest dome in Scandinavia, they bring a sense of inner peace.
7. Explore the Royal Library, and take a walk along the canal to admire Nordic architecture.
8. Check out Nyboder, a filming location for *The Danish Girl*. These rows of simple yellow buildings, built in the 17th and 18th centuries, were once naval barracks. Nearby, Kastellet, a star-shaped fortress, is still an active military base. There are guards at the entrance, but locals prefer jogging around its walls.
9. Travelling from the airport to the city, whether by train or metro, it costs only DKK 30 (HKD 33.6), which is quite reasonable for European airport transportation. Metro day passes are also available—details can be found via the DOT Ticket app.
10. If accommodation in Copenhagen is too expensive, consider staying in nearby cities like Malmö or Helsingør, which are within an hour's travel time. Factoring in transportation costs, it might be cheaper than staying in Copenhagen itself.
Some might say traveling to Scandinavia is always expensive, and that people without money shouldn’t go. But this journey to discover Nordic happiness led me to read *The Little Book of Hygge* before my trip, and I learned that Hygge isn’t about spending more to gain happiness. If high costs make you uncomfortable, you’ve missed the point of Hygge.

/
"When the salty sea breeze blows through your hair, the resentment of the working people suddenly disappears with the sea salt lemon soda" 💙
.
I recommend a beautiful place to see the sea near Guangzhou, which can be reached directly by Shenzhen Metro. Now there are few people and beautiful scenery, and the accommodation is very cheap~

It's not that Europe is unaffordable, it's that this place is more cost-effective
It's not that Europe is unaffordable, it's that this place is more cost-effective. It's worth it. The hotel is built halfway up Dongshan Mountain, offering a panoramic view of Tengchong's beautiful scenery. The room terrace has a private hot spring pool.
📍Detailed address
Jiangshan Xiaoyuan, Buildings 17-19, Gaoligong Community, Dongshan Community Residents' Committee, Tengyue Town, Baoshan, Yunnan. Tengchong Yuebo Banshan Hot Spring Resort Hotel
📝Tips
The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Heshun Ancient Town, located halfway up Dongshan Mountain in Tengchong City, offering a bird's-eye view of the entire Tengchong cityscape. It has 33 guest rooms, a 100-meter cliff infinity crescent pool, and Mediterranean-style decor. On a good day, you can enjoy the morning sea of clouds and the evening sunset pool. There is also a small area with exercise equipment.
The incredibly popular Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the NGV is a must-see in Melbourne.
I happened to be back in Melbourne during Yayoi Kusama's polka dot exhibition, and I definitely couldn't miss it. Many exhibits are being shown in Australia for the first time, and the popularity is evident in the fact that tickets need to be purchased several days in advance.
🎫 How to book:
This exhibition is extremely popular, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance on the NGV's official website to avoid sell-outs.
If you prefer a less crowded viewing experience, it's recommended to book the earliest time slot, around 9:00 am, when there are the fewest people.
💰 AUD 38
❤️ Must-see photo spots:
Most of the amazing photo opportunities are in Part 2.
1️⃣ World premiere! The stunning new work - the kaleidoscopic Infinity Mirrored Room. It's like stepping into a parallel universe!
2️⃣ Australian premiere! The 5-meter-tall sculpture "Dancing Pumpkin" is super cute and incredibly photogenic.
3️⃣ Classic polka dot paintings + immersive mirror rooms + psychedelic sculptures - every room is a great photo op.
4️⃣ Pumpkin Mirror Room: There's a queue, and each person only has about 20 seconds to look around. You won't have time to use a camera here, so it's recommended to use your phone to take pictures through the small opening.
📌 Exhibition tips:
1️⃣ Attire: It's recommended to wear form-fitting clothing in solid colors (black, white, beige, or other low-saturation colors). The exhibition is full of highly saturated colors and patterns, which might be overwhelming for those with trypophobia.
2️⃣ Viewing order: You can scan your ticket and enter up to half an hour before your entry time. You must visit Part 1 before Part 2. If you see Part 2 first, you won't be able to go back to Part 1, as tickets are scanned separately for each part.
3️⃣ Bring a friend who's good at taking photos, and be patient. The popular spots require quick shots and waiting.
4️⃣ There are also many photo opportunities in the public areas on the first floor. You can take photos for free with a pumpkin sculpture, a field of silver balls, and the polka dot balloons hanging from the ceiling in the rest area.
5️⃣ The exhibition merchandise is also great. I ended up buying a polka dot backpack and a makeup bag.

The first Maldivian resort opened by Chinese people - the cost performance ratio is amazing!
The Maldives Le Yi Resort Kunawasi Island, which opened in May last year, is one of the few islands in the Maldives that can combine snorkeling and sea views. The sapphire lagoon water makes people fall into this dreamy beauty at a glance. The hotel is also surrounded by many famous nurse sharks and dolphin haunts in the Maldives. Dolphins can often be seen on the island.
This island has no seagrass. The selected sand is particularly delicate. The vegetation on the island is still in the growth stage, but it does not affect the privacy of the sand house. This is a resort hotel with a high cost performance ratio. The transportation cost to the island is only 200 US dollars per person. It is precisely because of this that although everything is available, it is definitely not comparable to luxury islands. It is a high-quality choice for pursuing cost performance!
It is worth mentioning that the owner of this resort hotel is Chinese. This is also the first resort hotel opened by Chinese people in the Maldives. The hotel is a brand new hotel brand. My feeling after staying is that the overall is not bad. Worth a stay!
Alexandria is not worth it
Egypt's second largest city
If you are traveling from Cairo for six hours, I really don't recommend it
We were on our way back from Siwa/Marsa Matruh and stopped by for a day trip
·
There are basically no monuments to see
The monuments that can be seen are mediocre compared to the attractions on the southern line
The Library of Alexandria was rebuilt on the original site (speculated)
The Citadel of Qaitbay was also rebuilt on the original site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the original Seven Wonders of the World
·
The self-driving experience is not very good
The roads are narrow and the traffic is chaotic
The public transportation we saw was mainly minibuses
They stop when you wave
I don't know exactly where to go or how to get there
·
It is definitely impossible to say that there are no scammers or harassment
But it is indeed much better than Cairo
·
📍Qaitbay Square
📍Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
📍Pompey's Pillar
📍Library of Alexandria

Mauritius is a must-visit! Not every island is visa-free.
Africa is not just about the savannah. It is also home to the "original paradise" described by Mark Twain, Mauritius, the pearl of the Indian Ocean.
This is one of the most popular island resorts for Westerners. It is no exaggeration to say that it is comparable to Hawaii. On this subtropical island, you can not only enjoy the unique beauty of the underwater waterfall in Mauritius, but also follow the dolphins and enjoy a romantic vacation with blue waters and white sand beaches.
In addition, Mauritius is visa-free for Chinese citizens. You can travel smoothly with just a passport and no complicated procedures. The price is not expensive compared to other high-end islands. You can enjoy a high-end island at a mid-range price, which is very cost-effective!
7 days and 5 nights in Mauritius:
DAY 1 Arrival, private transfer, check in, free time
DAY 2 Catamaran dolphin watching, BBQ at sea
DAY 3 Helicopter tour of the underwater waterfall + lunch at a mountain restaurant + walk with lions
DAY 4 Free time, book free water activities at the hotel (kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc., subject to hotel arrangements)
DAY 5 Visit Île aux Cerfs, comparable to Tahiti
DAY 6 Northern cultural tour, visit Port Louis, Royal Botanic Gardens, Red Roof Church, Caudan Waterfront, and the filming location of the movie "Breakup Buddies", transfer to the airport after the tour
DAY 7 Return home
Cape Verde, the most comfortable country in West Africa.
Arriving at the third stop of the West African journey, Cape Verde 🇨🇻
An island country in the Atlantic Ocean
Probably the most comfortable country in West Africa
Because of internal stability, the tourism industry is developing rapidly
Many European and American tourists come here for vacation 🌊
There is a kind of illusion that is not in West Africa
🌊Cidade Velha Day Tour
🚗Depart from the capital Praia, charter a car for about 40 euros round trip, and visit the World Heritage Old Town Cidade Velha~
📍São Filipe Royal Fortress
Stop at the fortress before arriving in the old city, the ticket 🎫500
Located on the top of the mountain with a beautiful view! Although it was cloudy when I went, the scenery was still beautiful
You can overlook the entire old city and coastline 🌊
📍Pelourinho
Get off the car here in the old city and start the city walk~
There is a monument in the square, which is also a place where slaves were punished
The scenery of the dock trail along the sea is beautiful 🌊
📍Rua Banana
A few steps forward is Banana Avenue
Named after bananas were transported through here to the seaside pier
There is a church ⛪️ inside
📍Sé Catedral (ruínas)
Not far from the top is the cathedral ruins, free entry 🆓
As the oldest place in Cape Verde, this church is also one of the oldest churches in West Africa, and now only the ruins remain
🍴Food
Recommend Restaurant Batuku, it may be the best restaurant in the old city
The juice 🍹 and dessert 🍧 flavors are also good!

Chengdu - Qingyang Temple - Flowering Plum
The flowering plums at Chengdu's Qingyang Temple are now at their peak!
The flowering plums at Qingyang Temple, anticipated all year, are finally in bloom!
Resembling both plum and peach blossoms, yet neither, this flower is a hybrid of the double-flowered pink plum and the purple-leaf plum, a mixed-blood variety.
Qingyang Temple, originally named Qingyang Si, was first built during the Zhou Dynasty, approximately 3,000 years ago.
Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty took refuge in Sichuan and used this temple as his temporary palace, hence the name change to Qingyang Temple. The existing buildings were gradually rebuilt and restored during the Qing Dynasty, under the reign of Emperor Kangxi.
Currently, 80% of the flowering plums are in bloom, and the flowering period is expected to last for another week, so visit soon!
The flowers are low-hanging, making them perfect for portraits without the need for elevation.
Next to the flowering plums stands a 240-year-old camphor tree, which served as the prototype for the fruit tree in the 1983 version of *Journey to the West*, in the scene where the fruit of immortality is stolen. During filming, the art department significantly modified the base of the tree, adding a pedestal, which makes it look slightly different from the "fruit of immortality tree" in the show.
Location: Qingyang Temple, Chengdu. The plum blossoms are located to the right of the Sanqing Hall.
Subway: Take Subway Line 5 to Qingyang Temple Station, Exit C. Direct subway access!
Food and Drink: Vegetarian meals are served at 11:30 am for CNY 15 per person. If you get tired from taking photos, there's a teahouse in the Tangwang Hall where you can relax and enjoy some tea.
Nearby Attractions: Culture Park, Sui and Tang Dynasties Kiln Site Museum, Baihuatan Park, Sichuan Museum, and Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum are all nearby. You can choose to visit any of these attractions that interest you.

You have to visit Chongqing at least once in your life for this museum.
😱 Dayuanxiang Museum - Wake Up and Watch on the Wall 😱
🎈 This is the largest private collection museum in Chongqing! 🤩 The museum houses countless stories about tracing roots and ancestors, like ancient history books waiting to be read.
✨ It uses the simplest exhibition method, with no fancy decorations or cool technology, but tells the heaviest historical memories. The entire museum is like a reserved wise man, simple and unpretentious, with only the elegant sandalwood and old wood scent in the air.
☀ When the sunlight falls on the Buddha niche, it seems as if time stands still, allowing our hearts to return to a moment of peace, like finding a quiet harbor in the noisy world. 😌
🙀 When the entire wall of wooden Buddha statues appears as the finale, the scene is simply stunning! We are amazed by their high artistic achievements, the exquisite craftsmanship, as if each Buddha statue is given life. The visual impact is like a powerful wave, hitting our hearts.
When the sandalwood scent enters the nose, and the dust gently falls on the Buddha niche in the light, we close our eyes and truly feel the unique charm of this museum! It's like opening a door to a mysterious ancient world, making people fascinated and unable to extricate themselves. 😍
I thought Nagoya was beautiful enough, until I came to Atsuta Shrine.
Some people say that Nagoya is not as beautiful as Kyoto and Fuji
I want to say maybe it's because you haven't slowed down
——
When you slow down the pace of the traveler
Pause the camera to check in the shutter
Just looking for a moment of joy🎍
Rush to this traditional Japanese courtyard in Atsuta
Quiet torii, simple stone statue
The blessing wooden sign hanging on the tree swaying with the wind
And the ubiquitous wooden house god. Society
Cherry blossoms in spring 🌸 Maple in autumn🍁
Even if you miss the beauty of these two seasons
Just this quietness of the ancient trees🌲
Also let people hold their breath
