SPECTECULAR GOTHIC CITY!!!
Prague has a very unique structure with gothic style that everybody ought to see!
There is a gothic style cathedral in the center which is breathtaking. It's the point for taking a cool picture for social media ⛪️
It's also a must to see clock tower located in the old town with two big clocks attached each other. You can also go up to the top floor in the tower.🕰
Food is also very traditional as you can see and taste in the Christmas markets. 🌮🥙🌭
Hostels are recommended as they're quite reasonable and clean. 🏢

Golden Lane: A Colorful Walk Through History at Prague Castle
#europetrip #prague #Goldenlane
Visiting Golden Lane at Prague Castle was like stepping into a fairy tale. Originally built in the 16th century to house Rudolf II's castle guards, it takes its name from the goldsmiths who lived there in the 17th century. The charming little houses, painted in bright, cheerful colors, each hold their own unique history and character. For instance, the fortuneteller Matylda Průšová lived in number 14 before World War II. In the summer of 1916, Franz Kafka’s sister rented house number 22, where Kafka himself spent a year writing. Later, in 1929, Jaroslav Seifert, who went on to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1984 and became a signatory of Charter 77, lived here. Wandering through this picturesque alleyway felt magical, especially in the early morning when we had it almost to ourselves. The absence of crowds allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty, tranquility, and rich history of this special lane. Golden Lane is a must-see, but be sure to go early to enjoy its charm in peace.
Climbing to History: Our Unforgettable Visit to Prague Castle
#europetrip #prague
Prague Castle was an absolute highlight of our trip to the city. The experience began with a climb up to the castle grounds — a bit of a workout, but completely worth it for the breathtaking views that unfolded before us. As we ascended, the red rooftops of Prague and the winding Vltava River stretched out like a painting, especially stunning on a clear day. One memorable moment was witnessing the Changing of the Guard, a ceremonial display that added a sense of tradition to the visit. Exploring the castle grounds gave us the perfect mix of history, culture, and incredible sights. A word of advice: wear comfortable shoes — those steps are no joke!

An early morning stroll on Charles Bridge was a magical experience, as the iconic landmark stood quiet and serene before the crowds arrived. The soft glow of the sunrise cast a golden hue over the ancient stone bridge, highlighting the beautiful statues that line its sides. With fewer people around, we could truly appreciate the breathtaking views of the Vltava River and the silhouette of Prague Castle in the distance. Timeless Charm: Exploring Prague's Old Town Hall and Square
#europetrip #prague
Visiting the Old Town Hall in Prague is an experience that captures the heart of the city’s charm. The Old Town Square is a must-see, where stunning architecture, a vibrant atmosphere, and centuries of rich history come together seamlessly. The highlight, of course, is the Astronomical Clock, an intricate masterpiece that draws crowds to watch its hourly show. Beyond the clock, the surrounding Gothic and Baroque buildings are equally captivating, each telling its own story. Whether you're strolling through the square, soaking in the lively energy, enjoying a meal at a charming café, or simply watching the world go by, this iconic square promises an unforgettable experience.
Timeless Wonder: Experiencing Prague's Astronomical Clock at Dawn
#europetrip #prague
The Prague Astronomical Clock, located in the heart of Old Town, is a marvel of medieval craftsmanship and one of the city's most iconic landmarks. We made sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the large crowds that gather later in the day to watch the hourly show. Seeing the intricate details of the clock up close without the hustle of tourists allowed us to truly appreciate its beauty and complexity. The golden dials, zodiac signs, and moving figures, including the Twelve Apostles, are mesmerizing to watch as they come to life. The history behind this masterpiece, which dates back to the 15th century, made the experience even more captivating. For the best view and a peaceful moment, going early is a must.
Morning Serenity: Discovering the Majesty of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague
#europetrip #prague #cathedral
Visiting St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague was a truly awe-inspiring experience. As we arrived early in the morning, the cathedral stood in serene grandeur, its Gothic spires reaching skyward, untouched by the bustling crowds that would soon arrive. The intricate stained glass windows bathed the interior in colorful light, creating a mesmerizing, almost ethereal atmosphere. Every detail, from the soaring vaulted ceilings to the ornate sculptures and the stunning Chapel of St. Wenceslas, left us speechless. The silence of the early hours allowed us to fully appreciate the cathedral's beauty and history without interruption. For anyone visiting, going early is a must to experience the magic of this masterpiece before the tour groups flood in.
Prague Castle
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

Our Czech breakfast sets were delightful too. Overall, The dishes were delicious and filling. We also had the cheese tart for dessert, which was light and fluffy. We really enjoyed dining here and would recommend it.

“Falling in Love with the Charm of Prague”
In Prague’s embrace, where rivers flow,
Through ancient streets, where whispers grow,
Cobblestones echo tales of old,
In hues of twilight, pink and gold.
The Vltava dances, a gentle guide,
As castles rise with timeless pride,
Beneath the stars, a city’s light,
A dream that wakes with each new night.
Arched bridges stand, both bold and true,
A journey’s path, a lover’s view,
From gothic spires to baroque grace,
Prague holds the heart in its embrace.
Oh, city steeped in tales and song,
Where every step feels like a throng
Of memories woven, past and new—
Prague, my heart belongs to you.#prague #holiday #czech #praguetrip
St. George's Basilica at Prague Castle
St. George's Basilica, located within Prague Castle, is a Romanesque-style church built in 920 by the father of St. Wenceslas.
Although it appears small from the outside, the interior boasts numerous beautiful religious paintings.
This basilica also serves as the burial site for several kings of the Premyslid dynasty, making it a historically significant and fascinating church.
Letna Park
If you want to see another beautiful view, the viewpoint in Letna Park is a must-visit.
This viewpoint is located near the Hanavsky Pavilon restaurant in Letna Park. We walked along the road, crossed a small bridge, and continued a bit further until we saw the restaurant.
I recommend coming in the evening when the sun sets to capture beautiful night views of Prague.
Petrin Tower Prague
The Petrin Tower, modeled after the Eiffel Tower in Paris but smaller in size. To reach Petrin Hill, you can either take the funicular or walk up.
Once you reach the top, you will see multiple bridges spanning the Vltava River, offering a panoramic view of Prague. You can also see the Prague Castle and the magnificent cathedral from the Petrin Tower.
St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle
St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle took over 600 years to build, showcasing various architectural styles from different eras, including Gothic and Renaissance. The grandeur of the cathedral is so immense that my camera couldn't capture it all. Surrounding the cathedral are gargoyles serving as water spouts, similar to other Gothic churches I've seen, such as Milan's Duomo or St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. Inside, the cathedral is breathtakingly magnificent. Highlights include the Rose Window, stained glass paintings by Alfons Mucha, the tomb of St. John of Nepomuk, and the burial sites of several Bohemian kings, including Emperor Charles IV, King Wenceslas IV, and Emperor Rudolf II.

Best time in Prague 🚢
#solotravel
Just got back from an unforgettable solo vacation in Prague, and I’m still in awe of this city! 😍 Walking through the Old Town Square felt like stepping into a fairy tale, especially with the Astronomical Clock putting on its show every hour. I climbed the Old Town Hall Tower for around €10, and the views over the city were absolutely breathtaking! 🏰 You can see all those red rooftops and the spires of churches everywhere – it was like looking at a painting.
Charles Bridge was another highlight, even with the crowds. Early morning is the best time to visit if you want to enjoy it in peace. I spent hours wandering through Prague Castle (entrance around €16 for the full tour). The Gothic architecture of St. Vitus Cathedral is stunning, and Golden Lane is so charming with its tiny, colorful houses. 🏡 I also took a stroll through the historic Jewish Quarter and visited the old synagogues and cemetery – it was such a moving experience.
Prague has this magical atmosphere, with every street offering something new to discover. Plus, the beer is amazing and so affordable! 🍺 Already dreaming of my next visit. #trip #Prague #SoloTravel #CzechRepublic #CityViews #Wanderlust

Marvelous architecture
#europetrip
Prague was a special time. It is one of those destinations in Europe where you wont feel so much of a pinch, compared to other more popular European capitalis. Charles bridge in Prague is one of my favourite architectural places.
Back at the hostel and online I had heard a lot about the bridge and the vibe. I was worried I might set myself up for disappointment, but luckily that wasn't the case. Charles bridge is absolutely worth the visit. A stunning Medieval bridge that connects two parts of a city.
In the days to come i ended up walking around here several times and I have to say it does get a hut crowded at certain hours. The nicest was early morning around the breakfast time. Got the best pictures then with not many people around. It so beautiful plus all you do is take a leisurely walk to here and the scenery on the way is gorgeous. And you walk further you get to the castle.

Prague feels like a fairy tale world.
The weather is pleasant, and every neighborhood is beautiful. It's a very comfortable city.
The food also suits the Taiwanese palate, whether it's fried pork chops or other meats.
The steamed bun dish in the photo is a local traditional delicacy. It's like IKEA's jam with gravy, and you dip the bun in it. It may look unassuming, but it's very addictive.
Chimney cake is also a must-try! The ice cream inside is like McDonald's soft serve. It's delicious and refreshing. It's best to share one between two people. There are often bees around, but don't be scared, it's normal!

Prague is such an underrated foodie city!!!
📍 @etapa_pgfoodies sensational brunch and lunch spot, delicious healthy options and they try to have everything homemade!
📍 @sandwichrodeo easily the best sandwiches I’ve EVER had 🤌🏼 their filet-o-fish is to die for, I would travel back to Prague just for this
📍trdelniks - the famous Prague cakes, you can literally have them everywhere and some are absolutely loaded with toppings!
📍 @restaurace_kantyna - the concept is “meat canteen”, they basically have loads of cooked meats on display and you can tell them what you want and you pay per gram. They also have some sides and starters you can order. The meat was SO tasty and tender, and very affordable!

The enchanting capital city of Prague
#hiddengems
Embark on a journey through the cobblestone streets and storied history of Prague, the enchanting capital city of the Czech Republic. As a lover of European charm and cultural heritage, I recently had the pleasure of exploring this iconic city and immersing myself in its rich tapestry of architecture, art, and culture.
Prague's Old Town, with its medieval buildings, bustling squares, and iconic landmarks such as the Astronomical Clock and the Old Town Hall, is like stepping back in time to a bygone era. Wandering through the narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards, I felt as though I had been transported to a fairy-tale world straight out of a storybook.
Crossing the iconic Charles Bridge, with its breathtaking views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle towering in the distance, was a highlight of my visit. The bridge is lined with statues of saints and musicians, and musicians serenading passersby with the strains of traditional Czech music, adding to the magical ambiance.
No visit to Prague would be complete without exploring the majestic Prague Castle, one of the largest ancient castles in the world. From the imposing Gothic architecture of St. Vitus Cathedral to the serene beauty of the Royal Gardens, every corner of the castle is steeped in history and legend.
But perhaps the most charming aspect of Prague is its vibrant cultural scene, with art galleries, theaters, and music venues around every corner. Whether you're exploring the works of famous Czech artists at the National Gallery or enjoying a performance of classical music at the Municipal House, there's no shortage of cultural experiences to enjoy.
As I bid farewell to Prague, I left with a deep sense of admiration for this timeless city and its ability to captivate and inspire visitors from around the world. Whether you're strolling along the historic streets, admiring the breathtaking architecture, or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the city's cafes and restaurants, Prague is a destination that will leave you enchanted and eager to return.

Petrin Lookout Tower in Czech.
I climbed the Prague Tower in Czech.
The stairs are so long that I was out of breath as I climbed, but what a magnificent view!
There were so many houses with red roofs 🏠
They were so cute 😍
The tower is all stairs, so I thought I was going to die on the way up, but then I was greeted by this spectacular view ✨✨
Anyway, the city was beautiful wherever I walked, and it made for a perfect picture 🖼
It seems that you can also go up by a trolley-like vehicle!
The slope isn't that steep, so I climbed up while taking a stroll.

There is no doubt that Prague is one of the beautiful city in the world and this place is full of beautiful buildings structure. In the recent trip to Prague, I was really surprised that their buildings are completely different than those in Asia. For example, the Municipal house has captured my eyes a lot with the painting outside. Moreover, those colourful houses also made the city more attractive. I have also tried the horses ride and it was a good experience.
