Lost in beautiful Hallstatt✨ Where mountains meet the lake and every corner feels like a postcard. Had a great time strolling the village with family, it was autumn and less crowded. We stayed in Salzburg, driver to Hallstatt about 1 hour. Getting There - 🚗 easy just type in Google map and directly to the parking Area 2 or cable car parking place. 🚂 public transport: take a bus from Salzburg main station direction to Bad Ischl (150) and then take a train to Dachsteinhöhlen Station and stop in Hallstatt. Cable Car Package in Obertraun, Austria, Including Dachstein Mountain and Ice Cave or Mammoth Cave

This time, I'm sharing my experience of taking the cable car in Obertraun, southeast of Lake Hallstatt in Austria. In this town, you can buy a package ticket that includes a cable car ride up Dachstein Mountain and a visit to either the Ice Cave or the Mammoth Cave. Of course, you can also just buy a ticket for the cable car. To take this cable car, you first need to buy a ticket at the ticket office, and then you can queue up for the ride. The cable car has several segments. The first stop is where you can visit the Ice Cave or the Mammoth Cave. The second segment takes you further up the mountain to the Five Fingers viewing platform. The scenery along the cable car ride is beautiful, and I highly recommend it.

The crystal-clear water, combined with the blue sky, mountain scenery, and town views, makes it a perfect place to spend a day in a daze. Walking around the lake, every spot is picturesque, and every photo taken looks like a postcard. You could spend an entire day just taking photos.

Magical Town, Hallstatt ✨

Hello Dearies! ✨ Presenting the beautiful fairytale lakeside town that inspired the famous Disney movie that we all know - Frozen ☃️ The plan was actually to visit Hallstatt and Salzburg together and its accesible by direct regional train from Munich via 3 hours of trainride. But I get more creative and decided to explore Obertraun and Dachstein while I’m in the region since we had extra days for the holiday. From Salzburg, its a 2 hour bus ride to get to Hallstatt and you will descend near the lake with an amazing view of colourful house. Its a small town and will take around 2-3 hours of exploring but if you are adventurous you can try to hike to the waterfall shown in the video for further adrenaline rush! If you want to spend more tranquil vibe near the lake, you can try booking a one night stay at the Hallstatt area but be sure to book well in advance or else everything will be super expensive. #familytrips2024 Hallstatt is definitely one of the most beautiful town in Europe. This time I went to Austria Hallstatt with my family and the view was absolutely incredible and insane. The small village in front of the mountain just made the view become more peaceful and stunning. Moreover, the lake also reflected some of the village views on the water. They all looked gorgeous. Another great place to look at the whole Hallstatt lake is on the observation point, you can take the cable car to the top and see the whole view. Overnight at Hallstatt, the world heritage city.

Hallstatt, a world heritage site ... I recommend staying here overnight because you will get the atmosphere in the morning and dinner in the evening, which is a real village atmosphere. There are not many tourists. How to get there - You can travel from Salzburg by train or bus. If you take the train and get off at Hallstatt station, you have to take a ferry across to the village side. But if you take the bus, you will get off on the same side as the village. You can choose to take the train, then bus, train, then train, then boat, bus, then train, then boat, or bus, then bus. Tourist attractions - Hallstatt village is small. You can walk around it in a few hours. If it is not winter, you can visit the salt mine by taking the tram or walking up. Hotel - Gasthof Simony Hotel, accommodation has rooms for 1 person and is located right in the town square. The room has a small balcony that you can open to sit and look at the lake. There is a restaurant nearby, very convenient. Many people like to stay at the Heritage Hotel, which is nearby, or cross the river to stay in Obertraun if the hotels on the Hallstatt side are full. 2D1N Trip to Hallstatt from Vienna

Embarked on a winter holiday to Austria! Started off with a 2D1N trip to the beautiful lake town of Hallstatt, driving from Vienna Airport after touch down. Arrived at Hallstatt just in time for the last tour of the day for the salt mine. Do check out the website to look at the tour schedules while planning your trip. Took the funicular up and started the salt mine tour. I highly recommend the salt mine tour which is definitely value for money. The guide was great in explaining the history and process behind it. The highlights of the tour are the slides, the tram ride, the lights shows and the uniforms they provided us to give us an experience of being a salt miner. The viewing platform on top also provides great view of the Hallstatt town below which you get to see the serenity of the lake. Stayed at a town nearby Hallstatt as it is much cheaper, about 15mins drive. Explored the town of Hallstatt the next morning, tip is to go early so there's less crowd for you to take photos. You can shop on your way back. Winter is a good time to visit Hallstatt as it is less crowded and Hallstatt does look nicer and exudes more charm during winter. Hallstatt is a village on Lake Hallstatt's western shore in Austria's mountainous Salzkammergut region. For those travelling to Austria for a Road Trip, highly recommend to drop by this beautiful town surrounded by lakes. Spend half a day is enough as it’s a relatively small town, but Hallstatt is so beautiful and charming that you might want to stay longer! Take your time to wander around, check out the cute little shops enjoy the views over the town from different points. There are also lots of swan and ducks by the lake.
