Best Chinese City in Autumn
#fallfoliage
See Beijing when it turns to gold!
The Golden Gingko trees line the parkway. If you ever enjoyed jumping in leaves as a kid, this fun will continue on your next trip to Beijing, China. Plan your next fall trip to this city of ancient wonders.
The Gingko biloba tree (银杏) grows beautiful fan shaped leaves. Their shapes are unique to Asia since they are a prehistoric species. In Autumn, these leaves famously turned into gold. The leaves will stay on the trees a few weeks which make for beauty fall foliage scenes.
Where can we find these yellow leaves?
The city centre around The Palace Museum is dotted with lanes and lines of these Gingko trees. If you want a comfortable place to go for photos and leisure take my suggestion and head to Beihai Park.

Sky-High Comfort and Views: A Flight That’s Worth Remembering!
I recently passed through Harry Reid International Airport, and I have to say it was a mostly pleasant experience. The airport is large, modern, and easy to navigate, with clear signage and efficient processes for check-in and security.
The terminals are clean, well-maintained, and offer a good variety of dining options, from quick snacks to sit-down restaurants. I was especially impressed with the selection of shops, which cater to both travelers looking for souvenirs and those needing last-minute essentials.
The airport is well-located for easy access to the Strip, and transportation options, including taxis, rideshares, and shuttles, are all readily available.
Overall, I found Harry Reid International Airport to be a solid airport that does a great job of balancing efficiency with the excitement of being in Las Vegas. It’s a bustling hub, but it’s also a gateway that gives you a little taste of the city's vibe right from the start.

An Unforgettable Journey Through Art and History at the Vatican Museums
#100waysoftravel
My recent visit to the Vatican Museums was an awe-inspiring experience that I’ll never forget. From the moment I stepped through the entrance, it was clear why this place is considered one of the world's most incredible cultural destinations. The museums house an extensive collection of art, sculptures, and historical artifacts that span centuries of human achievement.
The highlight of my visit was definitely the Sistine Chapel. Seeing Michelangelo’s iconic ceiling up close was absolutely breathtaking, and it’s impossible to truly appreciate its grandeur until you stand beneath it. The artwork and craftsmanship are beyond words. The entire chapel felt like a living masterpiece.
The entire experience is not only a chance to see priceless art but also to delve deep into the history of Christianity, the Renaissance, and the influence of the Vatican over centuries. Every room tells a story, and it’s a journey through the heart of Western civilization.

Timeless Wonder: The Tale of the Taj Mahal
From the first glimpse of its ivory-white marble to the intricate details up close, the Taj Mahal felt like stepping into a fairytale. There’s something surreal about watching the sunrise over this monument, feeling the cool breeze from the Yamuna River, and imagining the history woven into every corner.
Top Tips for Visiting the Taj Mahal
1. Go Early for Sunrise Views 🌅: Early morning is the best time to visit – the crowds are smaller, and the soft morning light makes the Taj glow. Plus, the temperatures are cooler.
2. Wear Comfortable Shoes 👟: There’s a lot of walking involved. Plus, you’ll have to remove your shoes to get close to the main mausoleum, so slip-ons work best.
3. Hire a Guide 🗣️: A knowledgeable guide can share fascinating stories about the history and architecture, making the experience richer.
4. Capture Unique Angles 📸: Look for reflections in the water, try shots from the gardens, and capture the symmetry from different perspectives.
5. Respect the Culture 🧕: Dress modestly, and remember this is a place of cultural and historical significance.

Explore the most beautiful "Plateau Castle" in Shangri-La, Yunnan
#roadtrips #100WaysOfTravel #travelgram Songzanlin Temple is located in a high-altitude area, more than 3,300 meters above sea level, 5 kilometers away from Shangri-La County.
Songzanlin Temple has a history of more than 300 years and is also known as the Guihua Temple. Because the architectural style and layout are very similar to the Potala Palace, it is also known as the "Little Potala Palace".
The temple is stacked up according to the mountains and faces the lake. It is magnificent and more solemn and mysterious in the reflection of the surrounding scenery.
There is an oval wall on the periphery, which is like an ancient castle. The vermilion eaves, the crescent-colored walls, and the golden roof of the hall exude dazzling colors in the sunlight, showing the artistic characteristics of the Tibetans and the great success of Tibetan plastic art.
The temple architecture gathers the essence of Tibetan religion and culture. The architecture is golden and brilliant, with colorful gold-plated copper tiles, the treasure horn beast kissing eaves in the hall, the Zacang hall is spacious and magnificent, and the main hall is majestic and gorgeous. There are many Buddha statues enshrined in the hall: the quinta is tall and sacred, and the murals on the west compartment on both sides are exquisitely carved.
There is a clear spring in the temple, which does not overflow in spring and summer, does not dry up in autumn and winter, and a pair of golden cormors can often come and go.
There is a lake called "Lam Yangcuo" in front of the mountain gate of Songzanlin Temple. " "Lam Yangcuo" means "Lake of the Soul of Our Lady" in Tibetan. Although the area is small, it is lively. All kinds of waterflow will come to live here all year round, including rare birds such as black-necked cranes and red ducks.
In addition to the quiet and beautiful environment, Lamyangcuo Lake is also full of sacred atmosphere. It is rumored that the lake of Lamyangcuo Lake sometimes makes bursts of noise, and there will also be wonderful scenes. Predestined people can peek into their previous lives in the lake. This legend adds a mysterious veil to the lake.
DoubleTree Resort Penang: Your Gateway to Family Fun in the Sun
Our family getaway to Penang was filled with sunshine, smiles, and a few unexpected discoveries at the DoubleTree Resort. We settled into our spacious twin room, a perfect haven for our family. After check-in, the staff efficiently set up the comfy sofa bed for the kids, which they absolutely loved! The powerful shower was a welcome treat after long days of exploring, washing away the sand and sweat in an instant. The warm chocolate chip cookies that greeted us upon arrival were a delightful touch, setting the stage for a relaxing vacation.
One of the highlights was the private bridge leading directly to Miami Beach. It felt like our own secret passage to the sea, and the kids couldn't get enough of it! However, we quickly discovered that the nearby public beaches, Ferringhi Walk and Ferringhi Bay, offered even more space, excitement, and stunning scenery. We spent many happy hours building sandcastles, splashing in the waves, and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
While the hotel's pool was clean and inviting, it was a bit smaller than we expected. This encouraged us to venture out and discover the amazing beaches nearby, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We also found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the variety of local restaurants and shops within walking distance, adding another dimension to our Penang experience.
The breakfast buffet at Makan Kitchen was a satisfying start to each day, with a decent selection of both local and international favorites. While it may not have been as extensive as other DoubleTree buffets we've experienced, it certainly provided enough fuel for our adventures.
Our stay at the DoubleTree Resort Penang was a reminder that sometimes, the most memorable travel moments happen when you step outside your comfort zone and embrace the unexpected. While there were a few minor quirks, like the daily parking fee and the smaller-than-anticipated pool, they were easily overshadowed by the overall positive experience. We left with happy memories, sun-kissed skin, and a newfound appreciation for the beauty and charm of Penang.

Explore the historic church in the historic town
#travelgram #100WaysOfTravel #localfinds St. Vincent’s is a historic parish, founded in 1857 (it’s actually a year older than the town of Petaluma itself). The third and current church was built under the direction of Rev. James Kiely, and celebrated its first mass on Christmas Eve, 1926. It is Petaluma’s largest church, with 12,000 members.
It is a magnificent church with a traditional feel. Its exterior features impressive domes covered with tiles and twin towers (one houses a bell, the other an organ).
The inside has many beautiful features. The central and side altars are marble; behind the mosaic is an attractive crucifixion mosaic. Its 16 stained glass windows feature the evangelists and apostles; it also has three rose windows. There are 10 statues, all carved in Italy.
There is a small triangular park directly in front of the building. A fountain was installed in 2000. Now this small park is a beautiful pedestrian plaza which serves both the church and the community.

Easy Hike, Amazing Views✨
Phousi Hill is a great place to visit during your trip to Luang Prabang. The walk to the top is easy, and along the way, you can enjoy many Buddhas, temples, and beautiful views.
Once you reach the top, you will see stunning views of the rivers and the city. Watching the sunset from Phousi Hill is a nice plan, but be aware that it can get crowded, and the area is quite small. If you want to catch the sunset, I recommend arriving at least an hour before the golden hour to find a good spot.
I highly recommend this spot in Luang Prabang!

A must-visit gem💚
One of the most iconic viewpoints in Vang Vieng is undoubtedly Nam Xay Viewpoint. This stunning spot is a must-visit during your trip. It is famous for its motorbike at the top of the mountain, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and lush nature.
The hike to the viewpoint can be quite challenging, with steep and muddy paths. If you have knee problems, I recommend considering an alternative, such as Horkham Viewpoint, which is located nearby and offers an easier trek.
Overall, Nam Xay Viewpoint is a fantastic destination that provides unforgettable panoramic views. I really enjoyed my time there!

Unforgettable experience 🤍
I had a breathtaking experience flying in a hot air balloon in Vang Vieng. The views were absolutely magical, with the lush mountains, rice fields, mist and cloud surrounding us.
Definitely I had the best sunrise of my life, it felt like I was in a dream! The landing was very smooth and the company prepared some breakfast for all of us, a bottle of champagne and a certificate.
For anyone considering this, I highly recommend Above Laos company. It is truly an unforgettable experience!

Cafe of your childhood dreams
What would childhood look like as a cafe? My answer would have to be Ri Cafe in Bangkok.
Every inch of this cafe is a photo opportunity, crammed with shapes, colours, and fun. Every table is covered in toys and you’ll be given a colouring in sheet when you order. There’s no way you can be bored for even a second!
The cafe serves a selection of food, but I think where they really shine is their drinks. The drinks menu is super creative, and they arrive on a hand decorated tray filled with fun figures. They’ll even spell out your names with toy letters!
And to make sure you never forget your trip back to your childhood, there’s a themed Photo Booth just outside! It’s the perfect souvenir of Bangkok’s bright, youthful, and creative energy!!

Horkham Viewpoint 🌿
Vang Vieng has multiple viewpoints to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, and one of them is Horkham Viewpoint. The hike to the top isn’t too challenging, it only took me about 20 minutes to reach the summit.
Once I arrived, the panoramic views were absolutely spectacular, and the atmosphere was so peaceful. I went around lunchtime and only saw three other people there, which made it even nicer.
At the top, there’s also an airplane and a unicorn decoration, where you can take nice pictures.
If you’re visiting Vang Vieng and enjoy hiking, I highly recommend Horkham Viewpoint!

A hidden gem in nature
A nice plan in Vang Vieng is to visit one of the blue lagoons. Since I prefer places that aren’t crowded, I chose to go to Blue Lagoon 3. I had a peaceful and relaxing experience there. The area is stunning, surrounded by nature, and is the perfect spot for swimming and having fun.
There’s also a small restaurant where you can enjoy lunch or snacks, making it easy to spend the day without needing to leave.
If you’re visiting Vang Vieng, I highly recommend Blue Lagoon 3. It’s a bit further than the other lagoons but less crowded, which makes the experience much more enjoyable and pleasant.

Travel back to ancient China
Ever wanted an authentic feel of China’s past? Well Wuzhen, a water town that’s now 1300 years old, provides just that.
Explore vast canals, beautiful architecture, and endless paths, bridges, and corners. The town itself is huge, and you could easily spend half a day discovering every part. You can also pass plenty of townspeople practicing Chinese traditions, such as traditional opera style singing, playing traditional Chinese instruments, and making paper lanterns by hand.
You can even take a boat ride through the canals, with a ticket for a shared boat only costing 30 yuan! I’d recommend taking the trip during sunset, for stunning views of the sky’s colours reflected in the water.
Entry to the town itself is 110 yuan for the east scenic zone (everything pictured). But if you want to see even more, Wuzhen has a whole west scenic zone to explore too! The bundle ticket for both zones costing 190 yuan.

Liu Hua Park: Tranquility of Artificial Lake in Guangzhou
#travelgram
Liuhuahu Park is located in the west of Guangzhou, next to Yuexiu Park. On the territory of the park there is the largest artificial lake in the city with small islands and walking paths. Liuhua Hu Park covers an area of 54.43 hectares, the water area of the park is about 60% of the park area, forest areas 88% of the total area of the park, being one of the largest parks in Guangzhou. The park begins its modern history in 1958, when the first 4 artificial lakes were built by volunteers. Since that time, the park has been constantly decorated and completed, acquiring more and more functions and features of a modern park. Today, Liuhua Hu Park is not only a place for recreation, but also many modern sports facilities such as football and basketball courts, public gyms, and gyms. On weekdays, you can relax in the shade of the trees planted along the lake. On weekends, the park is very crowded and noisy. Liuhua Lake Park is one of the favorite vacation spots of local residents and the former Imperial Park, whose name has a beautiful history and translates as "floating flowers". It is located near Yuexiu Park. The name of the park is associated with an ancient tradition, according to which the court ladies, dressed in special clothes, threw flowers into the lake in the morning, which were soon carried away by the current. In the northern and eastern parts of the park there is a children's entertainment area, a badminton field, a tropical garden, a health club and a bird island, where from the observation deck you can observe the life of several hundred herons. In the southern and western parts, you can visit a tea house, a Chinese restaurant and the famous bird garden.
Collectively saying, Liu Hua Park is a great option to spend weekend to get relaxed.
