I don't deny the bad points like rising prices, homeless people everywhere, and red real estate. But Canada has brought me many beautiful memories in the last 2 years and I want to share with everyone the following pictures of Waterton, Banff, Jasper, and Aurora parks. If I had to choose between living in Vietnam, America (I studied level 2 and 3), or Canada, I would always choose Canada. Thank you dear Canada and thank you everyone for reading. Edmonton - One Day Trip

Went on a one day trip to Edmonton last Sunday (flew from Vancouver). Here are a few tips: The best option getting in town from the airport (EIA) used to be the sky shuttle service, which unfortunately is currently suspended (Sep 2023). However the route 747 bus is quite convenient still if you can afford to wait a little (one per hour in the afternoon). Do remember to bring a $5 cash bill for the bus fare. Once arrive at Century Park (the bus/LRT transit hub), look for a Rexall drug store near by for the 10 ticket bus fare pack. The tickets are good for both bus and LRT trains. Validate the ticket by stamping it at the kiosk prior boarding the train. Downtown is rather compact and walkable. Art gallery, Library etc all within 5 mins walking distance. Ample food choices from western to decent Chinese dim sums. UA (University of Alberta) is also within a few LRT stops. Nice and sizable campus with lots of energy. There was a bit of smog in the city due to recent forest fires but eventually the sky cleared up amd the sun came out, nice. Insane Views at Sulphur Mountain, Alberta

To summit Sulphur Mountain, you can either hike up or take a gondola. The hike up is 5.5km (return trip will be 11km) and is a continuous uphill climb with many switchbacks. The gondola is not gonna be cheap. Regardless of whichever option you choose, the views at the summit is well worth it! There’s also a small cafe (take-away only), a couple of nice restaurants and an exhibit to check out. Please also set aside time to stroll along the easy boardwalk to the weather observatory and cosmic ray station historic site. Bookmark this for your next trip to Alberta, Canada! #alberta #canada

Banff is a must visit for anyone who's a nature lover Even if nature isn't you're thing, don't worry as Banff is still very accessible and you can still admire it. Joining a tour is an option, especially if you go from Calgary. Further a day trip is also feasible but I would suggest spending a night or two to really feel the park and explore most of what it has to offer. Banff is truly an amazing place as no landscape is the same after that moment, meaning even five minutes later, the same landscape would have changed. You'll find ice capped mountains, beautiful green forests, turquoise lakes and wildlife. You also might be greeted by the four seasons all in one day. Obviously the best time to visit is in summer when you can take advantage of the nice weather outdoors but other seasons have their own flavors as well. Therefore hop in a car and just drive around and get lost in this marvelous national park or Canada's backyard. Overall, Banff has plenty to offer. Badlands and dinosaurs

Drumheller is a town around 110km away from Calgary and is known for its quirky rock formations and massive dinosaur museum. If you drive, you should be there in a little more than an hour. Start your day off by visiting the hoodoos, which are weird rock formations that look they were stacked on top of each other. Be careful while visiting as these rocks were shaped after many years and so they are delicate. At the top of the hill is a lovely view of the vast surrounding badlands and prairies. Next head to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, which features a huge collection of dinosaur fossils and bones. It's very striking to see all of them in life size form and also to realize that they use to roam where you are standing. Whereas other museums usually feature a few select dinosaur fossils, this museum has a very varied collection. Overall, Drumheller is not to be missed. This means that there are urban parks with nice and modern infrastructure. This is for example demonstrated through the Peace Bridge, which traverses the Bow River, with beautiful paths next to the river. Further, being known as a cowboy town, you need to go get a nice piece of steak; I'll guarantee you won't be disappointed with the juicy and flavorful meat! Overall, Calgary is a lovely up and coming city to visit. You'll have a very western and somewhat optimistic feel to it.
