Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, MI, USA You have to visit Michigan and do a boat cruise to take in all of the beauty Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore has to offer. You can even see a waterfall which cascadeds 70 feet into Lake Superior, as well as East Channel Lighthouse, Miners Castle, Lovers’ Leap, Indian Head, Grand Portal and Chapel Rock just to name a few of the natural landmarks along these stunning rocks. The mineral-stained sandstone cliffs and Caribbean-blue Lake Superior stretch 42 miles between Munising and Grand Marais. When groundwater from the cliffs’ cracks drizzles down the rocks, stunning colors appear. Red identifies iron, black and white mean manganese, yellow and brown show limonite and pink and green show copper. It looks like a painting in some spots and absolutely beautiful, pictures don't do it justice and do not show the magnitude of how BIG the cliffs actually are. You just pay for your parking, the entrance is free but you will have a long walk before reaching to this view point.

Cabo da Roca or Cape Roca is a cape which forms the westernmost point of continental Europe. It is about 20 km and 30 minutes drive from Sintra. The cape is famous for its spectacular steep cliffs rising 140m above the Atlantic Ocean. On the highest point of Cabo da Roca stands a 22-m lighthouse built in 1772. It was very windy at the cliff during our visit. We also witnessed an approaching storm over the sea. The Kaohsiung Lighthouse, also known as Cihou Lighthouse, stands proudly on Cijin Island, just off the coast of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It's a historic landmark dating back to the late 19th century. It was first constructed in 1883 during the Qing Dynasty of China to guide ships safely through the waters of the Taiwan Strait and into the port of Kaohsiung, which was an important trading hub at the time. We took the ferry from Kaohsiung City KW2 pier to Cijin Island. Ferries also depart regularly from Gushan Ferry Pier. From Cijin Pier we walked about 1 km to reach the lighthouse which is located at the southern tip of Cijin Island. It was quite a steep climb from the foot of Mount Cihou to the lighthouse. We enjoyed the panoramic views of Kaohsiung City, the harbor, and the Taiwan Strait from the lighthouse. The highligh of this trip was the winter hike in Mt Hallasan one that you can take even if you are hiking solo. The view is amazing, you may hate the hike but you will forget everything once you’re up there. I took the yeongsil-eorimok trail. Jeju is a safe island for female solo travellers. Highly recommended! Lots of cute cafes, you will never run out of caffeine fix, a heaven for coffee addict 😁 Even their convenience store got a lot of goodies to try. I stayed in 2 locations for my 6 days trip, first near the beach and 2nd was in the city area and it was a great decision. More time to explore the city by foot or by bus. They have very efficient transportation throughout the island although its less frequent when you are far out of the city but it is still manageable. For transportation you can use kakaotalk or just use google map, bus options will be listed there with bus frequency and timing. Hiking Mt Hallasan-You can take the bus but make sure to take the first trip as it is pretty crowded and you will be surprised that there’s a lot of hikers from young to old even in winter. Visiting lighthouses and beaches:do check the weather prior to going out as it can get really windy by the seaside. Bringing poncho is much better than umbrella. Popular places have long queues like london bagel museum so plan ahead. You dont wanna be stuck in one place for long hours and missed seing other places. Me and my friend, we decided to test our luck whether we can spot the whale from the light house, and the report come out we didn't find any. Quite sad about it, but still the walk to the lighthouse was very enjoyable. The road is easy to walk, there also many signs on the way telling us which way to go and even if you don't look at the signs, your Google map is good too. Tanjung Tuan recreational forest is the perfect place for you to do recreational activities in the morning and evening. Although the structure of Guisi lighthouse is already disarray, rotten metal remains and almost ruined, yet being the one of the oldest lighthouses in the country makes it a historical landmark. It is located in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. It is actually an 18th century spanish colonial lighthouse, 17.5 meters high with octagonal and cylindrical tower, built to guide mariners passing iloilo and guimaras. I walked for 15 minute trail from the parking area and enjoy the view of the sea. The experience is so relaxing, enjoyable and a little bit nostalgic on top. Spotted the lighthouse from afar and decided to make a quick stop there before going for dinner. It is definitely a photo spot for families and couples. Even the view along the pier to the lighthouse is amazing! The best time to visit is during sunset for some IG/Trip-worthy shots! We missed it as we had to run for dinner but managed to catch it when we were having our meals (2nd last photo). Breakwater fishing is also available at the pier but it comes with a fee. For public, weekday day-pass costs $20 nett and weekend day-pass costs $25 nett. If you are a member, it is free. Getting to Raffles Marina is convenient as Tuas station is just right next to it. There are plenty of carpark spaces, and if you dine in any of the restaurants, you can request for parking coupons. Free parking with coupons is limited to 120 minutes. Sydney is a place filled with magnificent views especially at hornsby lighthouse. Hornsby lighthouse is located at S Head Heritage Trail, Watsons Bay NSW 2030, Australia and is open daily from 7am to 7pm. The place closes due to safety reasons. A drive up to hornsby only takes approximately 20mins and you will be greeted with magnificent ocean views. There are not many tourists here but generally locals most likely live around the area to watch the sunset or having a pinic while soaking up the views and enjoying the breeze. The lighthouse was built in 1958 and it is a iconic red and white striped tower that is hard to miss. Peninsula Point Lighthouse, MI, USA Take a well worth drive off the beaten path down a long and narrow(single car) bumpy, dirt road out to the tip of the peninsula point and you will find the most gorgeous lighthouse. While it is no longer in use as a lighthouse it is free to climb. We all climbed the 40 foot spiral staircase to the top to find beautiful panorama views of Lake Michigan. The rocky limestone shoreline of the peninsula yields fossils estimated at 400-500 million years old. Walking along the shoreline out towards another peninsula you can find many rocks with fossils. Peninsula Point is also a popular spot to see Monarch Butterflies before their migration. We got lucky when we visted and were able to see a ton in the trees hiding out of the wind.
