In this cave there are several stones that resemble animals, for example the dragon on the cave ceiling. Halong itself in Vietnamese means descending dragon. Sung Sot Cave is a cave in a limestone massif. The path to the cave is through the forest greenery; you must climb 50 stone steps and then descend 10 stone steps to reach the entrance. This Pagoda is completely obscure to most travelers on Tuan Chau island. If you’re staying on the island for a couple of days why not visit this incredible site and you will hike your way to one of the most fabulous views of Halong Bay (on land) there is. One of my favorite locations in Vietnam — amazing Ha Long Bay. It's a truly unique natural spot. Ha Long Bay can offer spectacular views! Emerald Colour waters, islands and many caves. You can go on boat day trips or stay on boat overnight. The sunrises and sunsets look gorgeous. Also you can go kayaking and swimming. Halong Bay is usually visited from Hanoi. It's easiest done as a day trip on a tour, although this does limit your time and movement. Once there you already can marvel at the natural rock formations that seemingly float on the sea. Some people say they ressemble dragons, thus its name. Most tours will take you out on the sea itself on a boat to get an even closer look, and you may even be able to do aquatic activities on the sea. Overall, it's a fairly relaxing day admiring the natural rock formations at the sea. There isn't much to do but that. Getting There - Book a day trip or a 2 day 1 night trip for Halong Bay Cruise. There are many ways to book them so can do a bit of research :) Price Range for day trip: $40-$90 SGD per pax Price Range for 2D1N: $200 onwards per pax Difference is how new/luxurious the cruise is. I would recommend to go for a 2 day 1 night trip if you staying in Hanoi and just want to experience the magnificent view of the landscape of ha long bay on the cruise. You save cost on your round trip from Hanoi to Halong, it typically cost around $80-100 SGD one way, plus the accommodation. The main attraction is the cruise, so might as well just spend that money and stay on cruise to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. Food will be prepped and the buffet we had on the day trip is good too. We booked a day trip as we wanted to go around Halong Bay to explore a little more on the local spots, there are a crazy amount of seafood restaurants at Halong, we went to the one in the picture, it has really high review on google as the service staff will ask you to help them to do reviews but I did it willingly, as the service is genuinely quite good. Price wise it’s on the pricy side but for the service I think it’s okay. Halong Bay’s price points are slightly lower than Hanoi so you get more bang for your bucks. We stayed in Halong Bay this Beautiful place for 3 days 2 nights, the views are amazing and the cruise experience was fantastic. 2days 1 night on cruise, day 1 We boarded the cruise around 12noon, visited a big cave and fishing village in the afternoon, we did try the Kayaking for a while, that was tiring and exciting. We tried catching squid in the evening after dinner. Day 2 just a simple trip to some islands and check out cruise around 10:30am. We all had early lunch on cruise while it ride back to the harbour. The cruise staff were very kind and helpful, they can speak good English and even can speak some other languages for other people. The last day we visited a local museum , we walk around the town and bought some souvenirs.#vietnam #Halong Bay
