Helicopter Views, Boat Vibes, and Whitehaven Bliss!
Had an amazing day on the Whitsunday Islands + Whitehaven Beach + Hill Inlet Day Tour + Flight with OceanRafting from Airlie Beach. Highly recommend it! The pick-up was on time, and we started the day with a scenic helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef. I especially loved when the pilot counted down as we approached the Heart Reef—it was breathtaking!
After the flight, we were taken to the water cruise where the fun began with snorkeling. Wet suits, snorkels, fins, and either a noodle foam or life jacket were provided. The crew was so patient, especially with anyone who wasn’t comfortable in the water.
We then enjoyed some thrilling rides between spots with pump-up music blasting—it really added to the excitement! After that, we did a short trek to Hill Inlet, offering stunning views of Whitehaven Beach from three platforms. The different shades of blue were incredible. I spent a bit too much time on the platform and didn’t get to take as many photos at Betty’s Beach, but the white sand and clear waters with fish swimming around were unforgettable!
We had about an hour and a half to enjoy Whitehaven Beach—not as stunning as Betty’s Beach, but the white sands and beautiful surroundings made it perfect. All in all, such a fun and well-organized tour!

🇦🇺 European beauty in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
Emerald Lakes Village boasts the beautiful scenery of the calm lake, surrounded by multiple European inspired establishments such as restaurants, cafes, villas, and apartments that are photoworthy. This place made us feel like we travelled somewhere in Europe.🏞🌍
Although the weather wasn't that great, we were able to take beautiful photos and enjoy the walk around the place. The only issue is that some part of the bridge is covered with bird droppings. Nevertheless, It is very quiet and peaceful here. 💕
This place is approximately a 25-minute drive from Marina Mirage.

Cafe 3eightnine is located in Woody Point, a coastal suburb in the city of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 35 minutes drive from Brisbane City. 🏞🌊

The Egg's Benedict and Big Breakfast look and taste good. Sadly, they were already cold when the food reached our table. The hot and cold drinks were also amazing! Plus, the prices are affordable. ✅️💰

🇦🇺 All You Can Eat Buffet in Brisbane Central
Suzette, situated inside the Sofitel Brisbane Central, is a sophisticated buffet restaurant that offers a variety of contemporary meal options. ☕️🍳
It also boasts the spectacular view overlooking the city and the clock tower of the Brisbane Central Railway station. But be mindful, it can be very expensive, especially on the weekends. 💰💰
We tried their breakfast buffet on a Thursday morning. It was busy that the whole place appeared to be packed. Luckily, we had a reservation beforehand. But dont worry, they accommodate walk-ins as well. The food options are great and have plenty to choose from. Sadly, there was no rice at that time. What I love the most is the fresh fruit/vegetable juice machine, where we can make our own fresh drink. It was awesome! 🍉🍹

Stunning views of Queensland beaches 🇦🇺
Mt. Coolum National Park is considered to be one of the best hiking spot in Southeast Queensland. It boasts the stunning coastal views of the Sunshine Coast beaches on top of the summit. It is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Brisbane City.
It took us less than an hour walk to reach the top. This varies on personal’s strength and experience as it can be challenging. It can get generally steep and rocky. There are some paths that don’t have any barriers and if you are not careful, you will slip easily. Despite this, the spectacular views at the top of the summit is breathtaking. Every effort climbing it, is worth it!
Remember, It can be very hot during the day as some area don’t have any shade. Make sure you wear sunscreen or any protection from the heat.

"Rising Above the Rest: Discovering the Majestic Glass House Mountains"
As you approach the Glass House Mountains, their striking beauty takes your breath away. These ancient volcanic peaks rise dramatically from the surrounding landscape, their rugged shapes contrasting with the lush greenery that blankets the hillsides.
As you begin your climb, the air is filled with the scent of eucalyptus and the sounds of birdsong. The trails wind their way through dense forest and over rocky outcroppings, offering stunning views at every turn.
Reaching the summit of one of the peaks, the panoramic vista is absolutely awe-inspiring. You can see for miles in every direction, taking in the rolling hills, shimmering lakes, and distant coastline.
As the sun sets, the mountains take on a new beauty, their craggy peaks silhouetted against the fiery sky. The stars twinkle brightly overhead, and the night air is filled with the sounds of nocturnal wildlife.
Visiting the Glass House Mountains is truly a transcendent experience, one that will leave you with a lasting appreciation for the natural wonders of Queensland.#Glasshousemountains #queensland #australia #naturelovers #hikingadventure #Sceniclovers #travelinspiration #exploremore #outdoorfun #travelphotography #tripblazers
Stunning Sunset at Bunya Mountains
The Mount Mowbullan lookout at the Bunya Mountains, Queensland, offers probably one of the most beautiful sunsets I've experienced.
It was breathtaking, mesmerising and quite simply, stunning.
And the sunset STAYS. LINGERS. Quite unlike the sunsets (and sunrises) we get in equatorial Singapore, which pass by in almost a flash.
We're a family of 5 including 3 teenage kids from usually sunny Singapore, introduced to this magical part of Australia by my wife’s sister and her Aussie husband.
Despite the scorching heat wave (yes, hot even by our normally hot Singaporean standards), we had an thoroughly enjoyable 7-night stay in the Bunya Mountains, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba in March 2023.
This sunset is undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip to the land Down Under.
Will be back in Oz for more.

THE PLACE TO BRING OUT YOUR INNER HERO!
Warner Bros Movie World the place that is full of fun, thrill and excitement. A place where you can visit with your partner, your families and friends or even yourself (where you can queue up at the single seat lane and complete all the rides in no time). There are just so much to see and play that one full day might not be enough. Do remember to take note of all the show timing as well as where Superheroes will pop-by so as to not leave the theme park with regrets. Do also get your phone fully charged as you will be taking lots of photos while creating memories. A MUST VISIT TO BRING OUT YOUR INNER HERO if you are in #queensland #australia !!!
Crows Nest, a gem in the bush
Crows Nest is a place not many have heard, but should absolutely make your Queensland bucket list. A short drive away from Toowoomba, this sleepy town has a lot to offer in way of history and relaxation.
Surrounded by national park there are plenty of adventures to be had and trails to be hiked. Stumbling on this hidden gem we discovered some breathtaking rock formations and gorgeous natural scenery that must be experienced in person. The rock pools and beautiful weather has left a lasting impression as a fantastic weekend getaway destination for anyone wanting to get away for the City.

Gorgeous well-equipped apartment near Cairns
When we were looking for accommodation in Cairns as a family of four, we wanted somewhere nice and clean with reasonable price. Valle Vista became a natural choice with its proximity to the airport as well as Cairns City.
Situated in the quiet suburb of Redlynch, Valle Vista was only a 15min drive to town and 9min stroll to the nearest shopping centre on foot.
The owners did an outstanding job in making guests feel comfortable about the apartment. You can tell a lot of thoughts have been put in from the apartment design to equipments available. We chose the Cannonball theme which was located on the 2/F of the building which was accessible by lift.#queensland #cairns #australia
We were welcomed by a bottle of prosecco, fresh fruits and nice breakfast items as a special offer for a week’s stay. It was really thoughtful that a bottle of milk was also available in the fridge.
The apartment was well equipped with tasteful appliances and amenities, you can easily make this your home. Nespresso machine, rice cookers, dish washer… adding great convenience for meal preparation when you don’t want to dine out.
The pool is really cute though we did not really swim in it, but it would be the perfect place to chill or have a drink in the afternoon.
We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend if you are staying in Cairns!
Magic moments at Cairns’ Esplanade Lagoon
One of the key highlights of our trip to Cairns was swimming at the Esplanade Lagoon. Located in the heart of Cairns’s City next to the waterfront, the Esplanade Lagoon is open to public and free!
Simply enjoy the amazing view while strolling along the boardwalk, enjoy a picnic at the lawn next to it or even better take a dip in the water for an enjoyable swim. The view was stunning during the sunset and you would be amazed at the transition of colours during the magic hour!
Along the edge of the lagoon, there is a sand area for children to play. The lagoon also has a shallow end with little fountains along the way, as well as 1.55m progressive depth for keen swimmers.
After the swim, you can easily take a shower at the toilet and change area which provides warm water. It was clean and comfortable! Then you would be ready for dinner at a nearby waterfront restaurant. Be sure to book the restaurant in advance as popular ones are fully booked quickly and do not take walk-in guests.
A must-do while visiting cairns!

Jewelled sea - natural wonder downunder
It has always been one of my bucket lists to visit the Great Barrier Reef and it certainly did not disappoint! The weather was perfect on our sailing day with cerulean blue sky and light breeze.
We booked a cruise tour which included two reef locations- Saxon Reef and Hasting Reef. It was one of the most amazing experience ever! The two sites were quite different in terms of their marine landscapes and great for different activities. The Saxon Reef was relatively greater in depth and would be a perfect location for a dive, whereas Hasting Reef has spectacular coral reef at proximity even when snorkelling. We saw a huge local fish called ‘Wally’ (Maori Wrasse) and many other marine life! Would love to visit another reef next time!
Tips: even if the sea was calm, highly recommend to take sea sickness prevention pills in advance.

Kayaking with Dolphins and Snorkeling tour
this experience takes place at Surfers Paradise QLD, Australia. It started at 7 am which finished around lunch time. As I remember it’s AUD $79/person, included a quick breakfast (milk, cereal & a piece of cake). We both had never kayaked before, the guides had taught us from the beginning which was quite easy to follow (about 30 minutes quick lesson). We then kayaked to Wavebreak Island where we had our breakfast and snorkeling. We then, kayaked to South Stradbroke Island for 10-15 minutes and had a long walk along the island before kayaking back to the departure point. We thought we did not get to see any dolphins, luckily, we saw one on the way back! It’s a very good experience, but also exhausting (because of the sun and the wave haha). We found the tour on Redballoon, highly recommend!#australiatravel #australia #queensland #goldcoast #surfersparadise #kayaking #kayak #snorkeling #couplestrip #couple #adventuretrip
Famous Pie between Goldcoast & Brisbane
Having a drive from Gold Coast to Brisbane vice versa? You got to stop by at this famous pie shop in yatala! The crowds here are mostly locals with its pie shop mostly packed with people for breakfast and lunch!
Yatala pie is an iconic pie shop in yatala, city of gold coast queensland. It is also named as one of the Australia's big things where some of which are novelty architecture and some are sculptures and also named yatala pie shop Q150 Icons where it is a significant to queensland.
There are many pie flavours to choose from, pies with steak, cheese bacon steak, curry lamb, pepper steak, chunky steak and many others. They too serves sweet treats like vanilla custard pie, vanilla slice. But the pie is just amazing, the saucy filled pies that I will always buy home frozen and bring back to my country Singapore. Just amazing!

Where does the Rainforest meet the Reef?
Wow, Port Douglas feels like living in dream! This dreamy town really surprised me by it’s beauty. This town is all about relaxation, really tropical yet casual.
Whether you’re looking for adventure or looking to chill out on the beach this seaside town has something for everyone!
I only stayed here for 1 night as my trip didn’t allow to extend at the time but I so wished I had been able to stay here for a few weeks.
Four mile beach was my favorite - but not because of what you may think. We found a dog rescue centre where you can help take the dogs for a walk and give them some love. (Really dog is a man’s best friend) It was so great to be able to do something so small that I really enjoyed!
The beach isn’t heavily sandy, so it’s great for jogging - and the sea breeze was just perfect!
Next time I go to Australia, I will be back to Port Douglas for sure!
📍Rent a car from Brisbane or other city and drive at your own pace to North Queensland. (Or you can hop on / off the Backpackers bus)
💰Port Douglas was a little more pricey than some other seaside towns, but 100% worth the price!
Take me back!

Enjoy your lunch with Lorikeets
Yes, up in Tamborine, Queensland you will find thousands of these wild birds especially if you’re dining out alfresco!"
Tamborine has some interesting shops and restaurants to say the least, but his “Polish Place” had beautiful views and tasty dumplings!
What’s more there is also a viewing platform to look at enjoy some incredible views. The weather wasn’t too sunny, but I imagine when it’s sunny the views must be breathtaking!
📍To get there, it’s suggested to drive - there isn’t any public transport that I saw whilst exploring this place with friends.
💰Lunch at the “Polish Place” was reasonable considering the location and environment - check out their traditional polish dumplings!
