Great experience staying at Siam@siam design hotel and even got a upgrade to heritage room :) check in was seamless and beds were super comfy. Walking distance to National Stadium BTS and Siam BTS with lots and lots of delicious food at your doorstep. If you like outlet stores then you must go visit the Siam Premium Outlet in Bangkok. There is a shuttle bus that you can take daily from Siam Paragon shopping mall. The cost is 150 baht each way and you can buy it within the Trip App on your phone too. Check the timetables online or on the sign at the bus stop. It will take around an hour or so to get there. #bangkok At the heart of Bangkok, The Grand Palace has been the official residence of the kings of Siam. With jewel-encrusted shrines, golden temples & exquisite architecture, it represents 200 years of royal history. This is definitely the most crowded place ever in Bangkok! I arrived 15 mins before opening time and there was already a group of people waiting 🙈 Roughly after an hour, the entire place was flocked with visitors. It’s a beautiful & huge place with stunning architecture, but the massive crowd also makes it very overwhelming. 🕰️ - 8.30 am - 3.30pm 🎟️- The admission fee is the most expensive for foreigners: 500 baht. Everyone is gifted a small bottle of hand sanitizer at the entrance. You also get a ticket for a traditional Thai dance show, but it can be a bummer as it starts at 2pm. I didn’t attend as I visited early and didn’t want to spend the whole day there. 👚- Dress code is very strict! Shoulders & knees covered. No transparent or skintight clothing, else you’ll be sent to a shop across the entrance selling those typical Thai style loose pants & T-shirts with prices starting from 100 baht. 🧍🏽‍♀️- You can also join a day tour or hire a tour guide near the entrance. They’re usually standing nearby with boards of their spoken languages. 👉🏼 Don’t shop or buy anything near the Grand Palace. I paid twice the normal price for coconut water and two small packets of chopped fruits 😭 Walk a bit further towards Wat Pho. There are lots of restaurants, cafés, street food sellers & shops with much cheaper prices. ➡️ How to go? I was staying near Wat Pho & The Grand Palace was a 15 -20 min walk for me. There is Kyotokatsugyu restaurant in Bangkok,Thailand. It is located Siam Center. The staff is quite nice. Normally, staff introduces the sauces at the beginning. There are three types of sauces which are Yuzu sauce( this one suits with salad or vegetable.), Gyukatsu sauce (I recommend this sauce, it is delicious.) and dashi shoyu. The Siam Scape building is located opposite MBK Center. The Siam Scape building is located on Phaya Thai Road, near Soi Chula 7, Osotsala. When we walk down from the building's connecting walkway, we can walk into the building without having to exchange any cards. We can go straight to the elevator and press the 10th floor button. On the rooftop, there is a huge activity area and a place to sit and relax. There are more and more trees. There are places to stand and enjoy the view in three directions: the MBK CENTER side, the Siam Square side, and the Chamchuri Square side. The area around Siam BTS station in Bangkok is home to many shopping malls such as Paragon, Siam Centre and Siam discovery on one side, and on the other side of the BTS is Siam Square which is popular among students and young people. The skywalk to MBK centre is also a must. You can find cheap branded clothes in this mall. My favourite mall is Siam Centre which has trendy but not overly expensive shops. stayed here for 3 nights for easy accessibility to the BTS and airport link . Room was generally clean and bed was big and wide, but a little soft. even though we had the room facing the BTS, it was not too noisy. but you might want to request for rooms facing the other side.
