。
👽 The weather is starting to cool down, my favorite thing is to eat hot pot. This Japanese restaurant that focuses on hot pot has opened a new branch in Tsim Sha Tsui. Come and try it with your friends!
。
🥘The restaurant has many kinds of hot pot to choose from, once you see this "tang cooked sukiyaki", said it will be grilled first and then soup, too attractive, must order! This price, including Japanese A4 Wagyu shoulder for 250g, also has a fresh vegetable plate, Japanese interrot, sage, absolutely great value! The shopkeeper helped grill the beef on the spot. The wagyu beef was tender and gluten-free, super smooth and tender, absolutely high quality! Then use sukiyaki as soup for hot pot, two kinds of enjoyment for one price!
。
🥩 The beef is very tasty, so I added two more portions of "Japanese A4 Wagyu 100g", this price, this portion, no frozen taste, no gluten tender, absolutely great value, great satisfaction!
。
🧆 Add "cheese melted chicken meatballs" to the pot, which are very large, with cheese melted and vanilla flavor, adding different flavors.
。
🌿 Wagyu fat is heavy, eat a "slow cooked chicken coriander salad" to balance. Very refreshing, lots of hand-shredded chicken, plus an oversized pocket of coriander salad, very appetizing, and super refreshing at the same time.
。
🍢 In addition to hot pot food, there are also many izakaya snacks. The price of "Samosa Chicken with Sauce Grilled" is affordable. The chicken is grilled very tenderly and very well seasoned.
。
🦑 The menu recommends a new product "Osaka style squid skewers", I thought it was similar to fried squid beard, but it turned out to be a squid paste that was beaten to plastic, very big, very large, and not fried will not Afraid of hot air.
。
🐟 It is rare to see the classic dessert "red bean bream grilled", red beans are not too sweet, plus the bream grilled to the outside crispy, the taste is just right, great value and delicious!
。
🍍 Must order "Grilled Ice and Fire Pineapple", refreshing and refreshing, definitely a good choice after a meal!
。
😋 There are many food options here, and there are many counters, super comfortable seating, great value for money, absolutely suitable for gathering friends together to chat and eat good food!

Argentinian lemon juice marinated shrimp
Raw Beef Tata + HKD 38
Sealing willow 250g
Tenderloin 250g + HKD 98
Garlic French fries
Caramel pudding + HKD 68
。
👀 Rarely come to this area during lunch time, knowing that the restaurant that focuses on beautiful Argentine steak has opened a new branch nearby, of course you have to try it! A LUNCH MENU will be available at lunchtime, which is cheaper and will include appetizers, main courses, and unlimited toppings of french fries.
。
🐂 First I chose the "raw beef tartar", fresh beef chopped very small, with fresh seasonings and egg yolk, really a good quality appetizer.
。
🦐 Also chose the "Argentine Lemon Juice Pickled Shrimp", sour seasoning with cold shrimp, now the weather is still hot, just appetizing.
。
🥩 When you come to an authentic Argentinian steak restaurant, of course you have to choose the steak for the main course! The steaks for lunch are all special selection of Argentinian grass-fed beef with no tenderizers or MSG! We chose the fillet and tenderloin, a full 250g, the portion is definitely enough! The former is chewier and brings a more intense beef flavor. The latter is super tender in texture and very juicy.
。
🥔 For the side dish, I chose "Garlic French Fries". The fries are plump, fried crispy, with a little garlic flavour. The best part is that it can be topped in unlimited ways, but to be honest it serves as a bucket on its own and is basically inedible.
。
🍮 Finally, of course, dessert is not missing, the signature "caramel pudding" to rich milk flavor, bite texture is also stronger than ordinary pudding.
。
😋 Lunch is really cheap, large and delicious, the new branch has more space, the dining environment is very comfortable, remember to try it when you have the opportunity.

Hong Kong | A Literary Stroll in a Newly Established Cultural Landmark within an Old Building
In the bustling and busy Wan Chai
There stands a renovated, retro-elegant white building
Nestled in a relatively quiet street
Housing the newly established Hong Kong Literature Museum 📕
The city is too noisy
Fortunately, there is a world of words where we can escape for a moment of peace
Reality is too overwhelming
Fortunately, there is a sea of books where we can dream and fantasize
The birth of the Hong Kong Literature Museum
Seems to create a spiritual utopia
For this land of materialism
The Hong Kong Literature Museum is located in a historic building built in 1920
A typical four-story Cantonese-style tenement building
After revitalization, it still retains the old red brick walls 🧱🧱
Chinese-style sloping tile roof, French doors and windows, and wooden stairs
The exterior wall has been restored to the black and white colors of the early 20th century, simple and elegant
Injecting a rich Hong Kong literary flavor into the old building
Inside the museum, in addition to the introduction of Hong Kong's literary culture and history
There are also handwritten works by many writers
Movies 🎬, TV dramas, and stage plays adapted from literary works
You can also borrow books for free in the casual reading room
Quietly flowing in the vibrant world of ink and paper 📖

Taichung Xitun 24-Hour Late Night Chicken Rice - Hongjia Turkey Rice
Address: No. 45, Section 3, Liming Road, Xitun District, Taichung City, Taiwan 407
Atmosphere/Facilities: Ground floor storefront, no decoration, dine-in and take-out available
Specialties: Chicken Rice, Braised Chicken Rice
Average Price: 100 TWD
Rating: Located on Liming Road near Taiwan Boulevard, this 24-hour turkey rice shop has been featured in newspapers and food shows. Originally used American turkey, but switched to local chicken due to import issues. The rice is chewy with a strong flavor of chicken oil and fried shallots. The taste is on the salty side, making it a good match with rice. You can upgrade to a bento with three side dishes, but they are usually greasy and sometimes cold. The fried egg quality is hit or miss. Generally, the shop prepares the food in advance and waits for customers to order. If you want hot vegetables, you need to order boiled vegetables or braised cabbage separately. The soup is ordinary and also on the salty side. The meat in the pork rib soup is a bit tough. The cold side dishes are tasty but in small portions. The marinated tofu is very flavorful.
Overall, apart from the chicken rice and braised chicken rice, the other side dishes are quite average. They offer late-night options other than soy milk. The shop has many signs warning against causing trouble, suggesting that there might have been incidents during late-night hours.

Sanyi Miaoli - Hakka Dishes Specialty Restaurant Opposite the Train Station, Shenglong Hakka Restaurant.
Address: No. 82, Sanyi Township, Miaoli County
Atmosphere/Facilities: Antique early taste decor, banquet table setting
Specialties: Hakka specialty dishes, Taiwanese cuisine
Average Price: 300 TWD
A local Hakka cuisine restaurant on the old street opposite the Shengxing Train Station! There's quite a crowd, which suggests that many tourists choose to dine here when passing by the Shengxing Train Station!
We ordered Hakka stir-fry, preserved pork with dried mustard greens, Hakka-style soy chicken, and plum juice mixed with wild vegetables! The portions are not very large compared to shared dishes!
Hakka stir-fry is a bit oily. Tastes good. Salty and great with rice.
The preserved pork with dried mustard greens has a strong soy sauce flavor, more salty than sweet! Although it also melts in your mouth! The dried mustard greens are well-prepared! Maybe it's a characteristic of Hakka cuisine! Compared to the usual preserved pork with mustard greens, the sweetness of the fat and the flavor of the mustard greens are lighter!
The plum juice mixed with wild vegetables should be dragon beard vegetable, which is crunchy! Personally, I think it's not as delicious as mixed with mayonnaise!
The soy chicken is a bit tough, but the flavor is quite penetrating.

❀ 'Purple' Deluxe Japanese Hot Pot Set 🐮
A rich hot pot set✨ It includes a platter of 6 types of A4 Wagyu beef, assorted vegetables, udon or a custom-made porridge, and dessert. There are five choices for the soup base, and this time we chose the rich and flavorful pomfret fish soup, which has a strong and savory fish taste, full of umami☺️
The A4 Wagyu beef platter includes Kagoshima sirloin, Kagoshima ribeye, Hida beef shoulder, Saga beef tri-tip, Yamagata beef sirloin, and Kumamoto beef shoulder😍 The marbling of the Wagyu is evenly distributed, with a tender pink hue. Among them, my favorite is the Hida beef A4 shoulder, which has the richest fat content, a strong beef flavor, and a tender and delicate texture🥰
The assorted vegetables include shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, koyadofu, bok choy, and glass noodles. I especially love the sponge-like tofu that soaks up the soup with every bite, soft yet chewy❤️ Finally, the staff makes porridge with the soup base, adding crab roe, crab paste, seaweed, egg, and rice, absorbing the essence of the hot pot, resulting in a smooth and flavorful texture👍🏻
❀ Almond Coffee Ice Cream 🍨
The coffee flavor is strong, with plenty of almond pieces to add texture✨
❀ Matcha Milk Pudding 🍵
The milk pudding is smooth and delicious, exuding a rich and sweet matcha aroma😚

Once the longest railway tunnel, the Caoling Tunnel.
Location: At the border between Gongliao District, New Taipei City, and Toucheng Town, Yilan County
Introduction: The 'Old Caoling Tunnel', with a total length of 2,167 meters, used to connect Fulong to Shicheng. In the early days, the treacherous terrain made travel between Yilan and Taipei extremely difficult, causing great hardship for travelers. During the Japanese colonial period, the construction of the railway was undertaken, with the Caoling Tunnel through the Caoling Mountain Range being the most challenging and dangerous part. The tunnel was completed in February 1924. Later, due to the insufficiency of a single-track operation, a new Caoling Tunnel was constructed in 1986, and the old tunnel was closed and left idle for nearly 20 years. After years of effort by the Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration, the tunnel was officially opened on August 10, 2008, as Northern Taiwan's first railway tunnel converted into a cycling tunnel. It has also received international recognition with the 'Tomorrow's Tourism Award WTTC' and was named one of Taiwan's top ten classic cycling routes. Visitors can ride bicycles to experience its original appearance; additionally, the administration also provides two hand-pedaled rail bikes at the northern entrance of the tunnel for free rental to visitors with mobility issues, allowing more people to enjoy the tunnel and feel its nostalgic railway charm.
Opening Hours: 8:30-17:30
Admission: Free
Experience: The Caoling Tunnel was once one of the longest railway tunnels in Taiwan. It's rare to have the opportunity to ride a bicycle through such a long tunnel. Moreover, the tunnel crosses Yilan and New Taipei, and it only takes twenty minutes by bicycle to reach another city, which is a special experience.

Taiwan's First Railway Tunnel, the Liu Mingchuan Tunnel
Location: No. 129, Chongde Road, Anle District, Keelung City
Introduction: The Liu Mingchuan Tunnel is a city-designated historic site, also known as the Shiqiuling Tunnel. During the eleventh year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign, Liu Mingchuan, the Governor of Taiwan, actively developed Taiwan, promoted the Westernization Movement, and advocated for the establishment of railways.
In the thirteenth year of Guangxu, he was granted permission to establish the 'General Bureau of Railways and Commerce of Taiwan'. The first section from Keelung through Taipei to Hsinchu was constructed, among which the tunnel project at Shiqiuling in Keelung was the most challenging. Work began in the spring of the fourteenth year of Guangxu and was not completed until the summer of the sixteenth year, taking a total of thirty months to break through; the Shiqiuling Tunnel is approximately 235 meters long, the first railway-exclusive tunnel in Taiwan, and the only railway tunnel from the Qing Dynasty period.

Experience: Taiwan's first railway tunnel holds significant historical value and meaning. In an era when technology was not advanced, the ability to carve such a tunnel can truly be described as conquering nature. It is well worth a visit.

The Famous Landmark of Miaoli, Longteng Broken Bridge
Location: On Miaoli County Highway 49 in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County
Introduction: Longteng, formerly known as 'Fish Vine Flat', is named after a legend where the early settlers were troubled by a carp spirit in the Carp Pond. To subdue the mischievous carp spirit, the settlers planted fish vine throughout the Longteng mountain area. At the same time, they named the high mountain to the east 'Guandao Mountain', with the intention of using Guandao Mountain to cut the fish vine and poison the carp spirit. Eventually, the fish monster ceased to harm the people, and the residents lived and worked in peace and contentment. After World War II, when villages were established in Taiwan, the villagers thought the name 'Fish Vine' was inelegant and renamed it Longteng.
On the morning of April 21, 1935, a major earthquake struck central Taiwan, with the epicenter near Guandao Mountain. The Sanyi area was severely affected, and the majestic Longxi Bridge on the mountain railway line was completely destroyed. After the earthquake, a new bridge was built to the west of the original bridge, leaving behind the arched pillars standing in the sun and wind, as a memorial for future generations. When passing through Sanyi by train, the sight of the Longteng Broken Bridge remnants is striking and leaves a deep impression.
Tickets: Free
Opening Hours: All day
Experience: The Longteng Broken Bridge is certainly one of the very famous attractions. It has taken its current form due to the impact of Taiwan's largest earthquake, the 921 earthquake, which is a stark reminder of the terrifying power of nature. Next to it is the second-generation Longteng railway bridge, allowing visitors to appreciate both the first and second-generation bridges at the same time.

Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival Launches Martial Arts Drama Costume and Prop Exhibition
Organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the second Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival (Cultural Festival) adopts the theme 'Both Literary and Martial Arts', featuring a variety of exciting events. Among them, the 'Both Literary and Martial Arts' series includes the 'Classic Martial Arts Drama Costume and Prop Exhibition', which starts on April 17th at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre lobby. The exhibition showcases around thirty pieces of headwear, costumes, and props from television martial arts dramas spanning from the 1970s to the millennium, allowing the audience to relive the classics and experience the martial arts sentiment.
Many well-known martial arts drama series have been adapted from the works of local famous martial arts novelists, including Jin Yong's 'The Return of the Condor Heroes', 'Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils', 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes', 'The Smiling, Proud Wanderer', Huang Yi's 'A Step into the Past', and Liang Yusheng's 'The White-Haired Witch'. Martial arts TV dramas and their related theme songs and soundtracks bring the literary and martial arts scenes from the novels to life. These classic moments have always been an important element of Hong Kong's pop culture, accompanying many viewers as they grew up.
Selected exhibits for this exhibition include: the hero costume worn by Yang Guo in 'The Return of the Condor Heroes'; the elegant and ethereal white dress worn by Little Dragon Girl; the pink outfit worn by Zhou Zhiruo in 'The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber'; and the costume of Princess Changping (Ah Jiu) in 'Sword Stained with Royal Blood'. Prop exhibits include the Dragon Saber from 'The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber', which caused a bloodbath; the Dog Beating Staff, the symbol of the Beggar's Sect leader in 'The Legend of the Condor Heroes'; the flute of 'Eastern Heretic' Huang Yaoshi; the sword of Lian Ni Chang, the protagonist of 'The White-Haired Witch'; the fan of the male protagonist in 'Chu Liuxiang'; and the knife of Li Xunhuan in 'Sentimental Swordsman, Ruthless Sword'. The exhibition runs until May 5th and will move to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum on May 8th to continue until October 7th.
To enrich the audience's experience, the 'Both Literary and Martial Arts' series also includes the 'Literary Songs and Martial Music Concert'. Veteran musician Au Sui Keung will perform many popular martial arts drama theme songs and his classic hits live. Each concert will also feature performances by young singer Au Hing Chun and a special guest. Additionally, there will be a song request segment, allowing the audience to revisit their favorite tunes.
Edible Flowers and Herbs Exhibition at Hong Kong Park
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold an Edible Flowers and Herbs Exhibition at the Forsgate Conservatory in Hong Kong Park from April 22 (Monday), allowing citizens to closely appreciate the beauty of various edible flowers and herbs of the spring season.
Hong Kong's spring climate is mild with gradually lengthening daylight hours, which is suitable for the growth of different types of edible flowers and herbs. This themed exhibition displays more than 500 plants of different forms of spring edible flowers and herbs, including fragrant marigolds, dwarf hibiscus, dryland lotus, borage, calendula, and a variety of herbs, etc.
The flowers and leaves of fragrant marigolds have a rich aroma and are all edible. The tender leaves can be used for tea brewing and cooking, and planting them in a herb garden is most appropriate.
The light pink flowers of the dwarf hibiscus are small and exquisite, and although they only last for a short day, they bloom continuously.
The flowers, leaves, and rhizomes of the dryland lotus (also known as golden lotus) are all edible, with a taste as sweet and slightly spicy as mustard, and a crisp and juicy texture, also with a unique scent.
As for herbs, the humid spring is particularly suitable for the growth of mint family plants. Common types include green mint (also known as spearmint), peppermint, grapefruit mint, etc.
In addition to displaying more than 30 types of spring edible flowers and herbs, the exhibition also sets up panels to introduce their characteristics, planting tips, and propagation methods. The exhibition will be held from April 22 to June 10, open daily from 9 am to 5 pm at the Forsgate Conservatory, 19 Cotton Tree Drive, Central, Hong Kong Park. Admission is free, and the public is welcome to visit.

Hong Kong Hotspots | West Kowloon Cultural District | Embracing the Moment of Bubbles Day and Night.
On the second afternoon of the Easter holiday, we went to the West Kowloon Cultural District.
The giant art installation 'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' on the eastern side of the West Kowloon Cultural District's waterfront lawn is one of the recent hotspots for photo opportunities.
'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' is one of the activities of the West Kowloon FUN Art Festival.
The giant 'bubbles' reach up to 9 meters high and are on display at the West Kowloon waterfront from now until April 7th.
'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' was created by the Australian Sydney art team Atelier Sisu and has been exhibited in cities such as Sydney, London, Singapore, and Brussels before, with Hong Kong being the 44th city to host the exhibition.
The 'bubbles' are made of glass filter materials, which show blue and purple colors under the sunlight at different angles during the day.
In addition to the three giant 'bubbles', there are also more than fifty 'small bubbles'.
We also encountered the 'Duckling' promoting 'Art in Hong Kong'.
We went to West Kowloon again on the evening of Ching Ming Festival, and 'Embracing the Moment of Bubbles' offers different visual effects during the day and night, making it worth visiting more than once.
The illuminated giant 'bubbles' are too beautiful.
'Night Fun West Kowloon' was an unexpected gain.
Hong Kong Space Museum presents the new 3D dome film 'Polar Extremes 3D'.
Starting from April 1st (Monday), the Hong Kong Space Museum's Stanley Ho Space Theatre will be screening the new 3D dome film 'Polar Extremes 3D', taking audiences on an exploration of Antarctica.
Antarctica is the coldest, driest, and windiest place on Earth. 'Polar Extremes 3D' will lead audiences deep into the Antarctic animal world, starting with a dive beneath the ice into a vibrant underwater world, then returning to the surface to join a large penguin colony, and finally enjoying what may be the most whales ever seen on screen. Whales play a key role in mitigating climate change, and the film not only provides a visual spectacle for viewers but also helps them understand the impact of human overhunting of whales on climate change. With global temperatures rising, the film prompts humans to reflect and take action to protect the Antarctic ecosystem, to prevent climate change from disrupting its balance and further affecting the whole world.
The program is 24 minutes long and will be shown until January 13, 2025. Screening times are 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM on weekdays; and 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM on weekends and public holidays. Ticket prices are 24 HKD (front seats) and 32 HKD (back seats). Tickets are now available at the Hong Kong Space Museum Box Office and URBTIX.
