#2024wish Uluwatu is such a surprise for me! It is the relaxed, trendy and off-the-beaten-path destination! It is also the home to some of the most stunning cliffs! I purposed booked this amazing accommodation that’s on a cliff so to indulge in the magnificent view! That’s not all, my favourite thing to do is to enjoy my morning coffee over looking at the surfers riding the waves 🌊! Surfing was also on my to-do list and I was really glad that I tried it and managed to stand on the board as a first timer! It was so fun trying to catch the waves! I couldn’t forget the excitement from surfing and definitely would want to try it again! Beautiful beach you might want to consider into your next trip! All of the beaches in Baler are worth checking out: Sabang, Dicasalarin Cove, Diguisit, and many more. Also, aside from their very beautiful and picture perfect beaches and attractions, Baler is also known as one of the best surfing spots in the Philippines. Surf is a pretty consistent activity here all year round so you do not have to worry when you are suppose to go, you can plan in your best time availability! But if you want to go when the best waves are seen, do November to April (Wet Season). To sum up, Baler is one of the places I highly recommend for beach and surf enthusiast out there who are looking for places to visit and enjoy. Surfers Paradise isba great destination for family and friends where it has long stretch of beaches thruout the entire gold coast. There is an attraction in the heart of surfers paradise, Ripley's believe or not where it has been here the longest time, I believe since when I was a kid. Located at Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217, this place has more than 100 over exhibits with many exhibits telling you extreme wierd facts that seems so unbelievable. This place has forever been upgrading and adding new editions of artificats. Tickets starts from 30Aud with other packages I'd you are looking for extra fun with extra savings. Gold Coast Surfers Paradise is a fun filled dream place for kids, adults and even older folks! I brought my dad to seaworld at gold coast to remember the past on when he brought me there uncountable times when I was a kid. Seaworld is located at Seaworld Dr, Main Beach QLD 4217, where it is not only an aquarium but also shows and rides are included in this park. Seaworld is a place that I will go once every 2 years because of the ever changing rides, upgrades and expansion plans they have. We were looking forward to go back to this burgershop again this year after stumbling on it last year. The menu has more choices of food and side dishes. They now have vegetarian choices if you don’t eat/like beef. While my friends vouched for eating the best burger they ever had, my vegetarian hotdog was also great 😁 I ordered a cucumber tonic water which was so refreshing 😅 They also offer cocktails, beers and soft drinks. My friend’s potato wedges were also yummy. Prices are very decent portion wise 👍🏼 My drink and hotdog with a side mini salad 🥗 costed me 88¥. this experience takes place at Surfers Paradise QLD, Australia. It started at 7 am which finished around lunch time. As I remember it’s AUD $79/person, included a quick breakfast (milk, cereal & a piece of cake). We both had never kayaked before, the guides had taught us from the beginning which was quite easy to follow (about 30 minutes quick lesson). We then kayaked to Wavebreak Island where we had our breakfast and snorkeling. We then, kayaked to South Stradbroke Island for 10-15 minutes and had a long walk along the island before kayaking back to the departure point. We thought we did not get to see any dolphins, luckily, we saw one on the way back! It’s a very good experience, but also exhausting (because of the sun and the wave haha). holiday in Gold Coast Surfers Paradise? A holiday is definitely not complete without visiting one of gold coast beaches. Gold Coast beaches stretches to 2/3km of pristine golden white sand where its main area is right in surfers paradise where it is filled with restaurants, cafes, service apartments and shopping. One of the beaches we head today was at mermaid beach where it is especially popular with the locals when it comes to surfing and chilling on the beach. As surfers paradise gets quite a handful of tourists and isn't as quiet but mermaid beach on the other hand is amazing. The only downside is that parking might be a it harder to find as the entire area are for residences only. We had an amazing time at the beach sipping beers and cookies on a quiet stretch of beach while watching surfers riding and catching the waves. There are a couple of quiet beaches along the entire stretch of gold coast. The restaurant interior was rather bland and unimpressive, only the bar area seemed to be where a bit more thought was put into. The vibe I got was a very sterile and functional one, which was further emphasized by the young waitresses’ perfunctory service. Fortunately, this restaurant’s saving grace came in the form of a more experienced staff member (I couldn’t be sure if she was actually the owner), a sweet older lady who was warm and enthusiastic in her manner towards us. The food tasted pretty average, I felt we could’ve gotten better-tasting food elsewhere for lower prices compared to what we were paying here. I’m hazarding a guess that maybe people come here more for the alcohol than the food. Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets opened for business on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 5pm when we visited. What I really like about the markets here in Australia is that a large number of these vendors actually make the products they sell. They aren’t mass-produced or bought at a cheaper price somewhere else and resold in bulk for a higher price. Although we didn’t make many purchases either because of the prices or the practicality of the items, the amount of skill and effort that was put on display and on sale at this market was a joy for me to experience. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and I was pretty disappointed when we reached the end of the market stalls. Plus points for being conveniently located at Surfers Paradise and right next to the lovely beach. Betty’s Burgers was my favourite restaurant of the whole trip and I’m so glad that reviewers online led us here. They have many branches all over Australia so it seems like they’re doing really well, and rightfully so! The branch we dined at was the one at Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre in Surfers Paradise and boy, were we in for some good food and great value. Their burgers were juicy, flavourful and well-seasoned without being overly salty. Betty’s secret sauce added a creamy and tangy lift to the whole dish. The onion rings were lightly battered and fried, with the onions being cooked through so there wasn’t that pungent, stinging attack on my tastebuds when I bit into them. The best part was, we paid a total of $26 for our entire dinner! A lot more affordable than some of the other restaurants we dined at, plus with better-tasting food. Definitely a bang for your buck. If you’re looking for a restaurant with an up-close ocean view, great ambience, good food and live music, Hyde Paradiso is the place to be. Getting there was a little bit tricky (maybe because I was expecting it to be a standalone restaurant on the ground floor), and I almost walked right by it. Turns out, the restaurant is located on the second floor of the Peppers Soul Hotel. The food was awesome, the ambience was great, the staff were courteous, the restaurant overlooks the ocean, what’s not to love? In terms of value, however, it wasn’t fantastic as the prices here were steeper than usual and because of the crowds that day, we couldn’t get to fully enjoy the ocean view from the balcony seats (which I was really looking forward to!). Maybe a prior reservation would have solved the issue. But overall, it was a nice experience. Our Ocean View Apartment was located on a staggeringly high floor with an insanely spectacular view! The room was a good size and generally clean, although one could see the wear and tear in various parts of the space. I didn’t fancy the fact that certain items and areas looked heavily used, but that’s just me nitpicking. Washing machine and dryer were available too. Some reviewers mentioned difficulty sleeping due to the whistling sounds made by the strong winds. I heard these sounds ocassionally when the windows weren’t closed tightly enough and while waiting in the lift lobby, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, probably because our window seals were fine and our room was located further away from the lifts. The highlight of this experience was, without a doubt, the breath-taking ocean view (: Coupled with a nicely furnished room and warm greetings of “hi, how are you?” and “have a good day!” from the staff, this place was really something special. My gut tells me I can’t give this a full 5-star rating because some areas in the room could still use more tender-loving care (eg. water stains on windows, dirt and dust in crevices, worn carpets) but in all fairness, I must say that the experience here was one I could genuinely get used to, so much so that I was really reluctant to pack up and leave! Gold coast is one destination that I will never get bored due to its reasonable hotels and resort overlooking the South Pacific Ocean. Since I was a kid, my parents would always bring me to gold coast for 3 things, the beach, timezone in surfers(because its a super huge timezone) and movie world. But till today I have benefits going back on a yearly occasion till covid hit. This is one place where you can enjoy a solo trip, with a service apartment and a rented car all under $1200 for a week which I find it rather liveable and enjoyable. I would go to the beach even during winter to busk in the sun and enjoy the sea breeze with the beautiful wave crashing while watching the surfers ride the waves. This is also a destination great for families with kids too! Houhai is amazing🤩 It gives out a completely different feel to Sanya, doesn’t even feel like you in Sanya. I would most definitely recommend going there to experience the surfers beach and the beach market. This quaint little cafe nestled in the middle of a residential neighbourhood was the perfect place to have a quiet lunch. Although it took a bit of walking to get to (under the scorching afternoon sun, no less), we were rewarded with a nice view of the river that ran parallel to the road the cafe was on! I really liked the ambience of the cafe, despite the largely white-coloured interior and the seemingly haphazard way they arranged the photos and frames on the walls. The cafe exuded a familiar, inviting, homey vibe, pretty much like walking into a friend’s house that you’ve been to for the hundredth time. The staff were pleasant too and were welcoming in their demeanour (: The food was quite decent! It was yummy and reasonably priced, plus the service was good. Other than the slight inaccessibility of the cafe by public transport, I remember my experience here to be a comforting and relaxing one, like chicken noodle soup on a cold day. My husband and I chanced upon this place while walking around Surfers Paradise looking for a lunch venue. It was along a street that was mostly populated with Asian restaurants. The prices and food photos on the menu looked pretty decent, so we decided to give it a go. Compared to the other Asian restaurants we peeked into along this street, this one had a nice, clean interior with a simple set-up. We ordered a chicken rice set and a steamer of xiao long bao. There was the option of upgrading the plain rice to fried rice for no extra cost, awesome (: However, the food turned out to be not-so-awesome. The fried rice was quite tasteless while the flavour of the chicken was extremely salty and overpowering (had another experience with Asian food later in the trip where the sweet and sour chicken tasted equally like a smack in the face). The xiao long bao’s meat filling was also poorly seasoned and the soup inside was so-so. For the price we paid, we were not impressed and probably won’t be back. Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Vapiano Italian restaurant serves up quality fresh pasta prepared in the spot by their chefs. The entire area is free seating – you can choose to sit indoors or sit at the al fresco dining area overlooking the main boulevard. There was also a lovely herb display in the centre of the space, highlighting the restaurant’s focus on the use of fresh ingredients. Deciding what to eat was the hard part, there were so many of my favourites on the menu even though it wasn’t an extensive one. Quintessential Italian fare like pastas, pizzas, salads, risottos and desserts were available at the different stations. Prices were very reasonable, and every pasta or risotto came with two slices of complimentary bread and an incredible portion of grated cheese. I loved the simple, straightforward flavours in all their dishes (we visited three times and tried different dishes each time). The chefs are really big on customization, so they’ll ask you various questions on what you’d like included and excluded, and then cook your order right in front of you! One downside is that the queues can get rather long during peak hours, but that’s to be expected for a restaurant with great food and wonderfully affordable prices. Will surely be back!
