Jacaranda (jacaranda)
When it comes to the flower season in the Southern Hemisphere, many people think of the charming Jacaranda! Although the name of the flower includes the word 'blue,' the flowers are actually purple. During the blooming season, beautiful purple flowers start to appear in Eastern Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, etc.).
The city flower of Brisbane, Queensland, is the Jacaranda. So, if you're looking to chase the Jacaranda bloom in Australia, Brisbane should be your top choice!

The winter weather is pleasantly cool, not harsh, and while the summer sun can be hot, it's not unbearably so. However, prolonged exposure to the sun can lead to sunburn. The Brisbane CBD has everything you need, striking a perfect balance without being overly crowded like Sydney or too cold like Melbourne. Underrated Australian Gem
Brisbane may not be on people's mind when they think of holidays in Australia. I too wasn't thinking of it even when I was headed to Queensland. But 4 nights of stay here and I can confidently tell that brisbane can make a solid argument. I like that food scene was particularly great. I mean they've got a multi cultural offering but the Taiwanese and Korean places we visited, they were top notch.
Food is important but not the only thing. From a memorable kayaking experience on the brisbane river. No better way to soak in sights, to climbing the story bridge and visiting the botanical gardens. I have a long list of activities that did not disappoint me at all. What brisbane needs is a chance. Perhaps you can squeeze it in your next holiday. And then you'll know what I am talking about.

Best activity in Brisbane
If you are coming to Brisbane you've got to try a kayak tour. Surely elsewhere it's more fun or whatever the excuses are. But this one activity will elevate your holiday expericne. Brisbane's got a long river that runs through it. And there is no better way of absorbing sights than from the river. Plus it makes for an excellent physical activity.
When I set out to find a tour or a service provider. Our hostel recommended Andrew at Kayak fun. Once you visit them you are no longer not doing it. They are professionals and offer you some great options. I went for the city tour. There were options of creek tour as well which had raving reviews from people who did it. Before I forget you will be in knee deep water in some places so skip them shoes and put on plenty of sunscreen. This is not only a great activity but a well provided one at kayak fun.

The charm of Brisbane
Throughout the holiday in brisbane with the bridge being a memorable landmark. What will also feature constantly in Brisbane is the river. The Brisbane river is a very long river that flows throw out the city and add to the charm of Brisbane. I have been fortunate to explore some of the best tourist possibilities along and on the river. From river cruises, to kayaking and such adventures to spectacular cycling and walking paths by the river and river walks. There's a heap load of activities surrounding it. Just like a beach, the riverside is a great way to unwind. I have also done a lot of people watching and walking by the river.
These activities make my trips more meaningful and satisfying. If you are headed to Brisbane be sure to hang out by the river and indulge in some of the river activities. You can't swim but hey the cruises and kayaks will make for a memorable holiday.

A Brisbane Landmark
The story bridge is a very popular spot in Brisbane. To some extent it is the Harbour bay bridge equivalent of Brisbane. Great Views all around. Besides serving a very practical use of conenction parts of the city. There also are so many activities surrounding it.
There's even a commercial outfit that offers bridge climbing for about a hundred aussie dollars. The setting is especially scenic by the river. You could swing by day and night. Plenty of hangout and eating options nearby. My favourite activity and something I recommend to those are headed to Brisbane. There is a cycling and walking path by the river ride. On both the sides of the bridge. Do that, it's what makes the being there so fantastic!

🇦🇺 All You Can Eat Buffet in Brisbane Central
Suzette, situated inside the Sofitel Brisbane Central, is a sophisticated buffet restaurant that offers a variety of contemporary meal options. ☕️🍳
It also boasts the spectacular view overlooking the city and the clock tower of the Brisbane Central Railway station. But be mindful, it can be very expensive, especially on the weekends. 💰💰
We tried their breakfast buffet on a Thursday morning. It was busy that the whole place appeared to be packed. Luckily, we had a reservation beforehand. But dont worry, they accommodate walk-ins as well. The food options are great and have plenty to choose from. Sadly, there was no rice at that time. What I love the most is the fresh fruit/vegetable juice machine, where we can make our own fresh drink. It was awesome! 🍉🍹

🇦🇺 Popular Cafe in Shorncliffe, Brisbane, QLD
Mathew Thomas, a local cafe attached to the historic Masonic Hall, is popular for its location, which overlooks the Bramble Bay from the hilltop. It is also known for its traditional and vintage type interior design. ⏰️🏡🏞
On a Saturday morning, we decided to try this cafe. We didn't have any booking but the staff accommodated us. It is quite busy. So, I suggest booking a table in advance. I really love their fruit waffle, and the Egg's Benedict tastes good!🧇🥞☕️
However, they are a bit pricey. 💰

It is approximately 10 mins walk from Brisbane Central Station.

Perfect place to spend the weekend 🇦🇺
Shorncliffe is a suburb located in the north-eastern part of Brisbane. It is approximately 30 minutes drive from the city.
Here, you will find the historic pier built in the late 1800s. Shorncliffe pier, previously known as Sandgate pier, reopened in 2016 after being closed to public in 2014 for major revamp. The jetty itself gives a relaxing vibe due to its white timber flooring. I also love the calm waters. It is a perfect place unwind.
There's a lot of facilities surrounding the pier, making it more popular to families. It has picnic and BBQ areas, playgrounds, serviced toilets, food stalls, and plenty of carpark spaces. It is also a popular spot for fishing.
This place is worth a visit!

Stunning views of Queensland beaches 🇦🇺
Mt. Coolum National Park is considered to be one of the best hiking spot in Southeast Queensland. It boasts the stunning coastal views of the Sunshine Coast beaches on top of the summit. It is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Brisbane City.
It took us less than an hour walk to reach the top. This varies on personal’s strength and experience as it can be challenging. It can get generally steep and rocky. There are some paths that don’t have any barriers and if you are not careful, you will slip easily. Despite this, the spectacular views at the top of the summit is breathtaking. Every effort climbing it, is worth it!
Remember, It can be very hot during the day as some area don’t have any shade. Make sure you wear sunscreen or any protection from the heat.

Beautiful Rainforest in Queensland, Aus 🇦🇺
Kondalilla National Park is a popular subtropical rainforest, located in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It is home of multiple species of flora and fauna. Kondalilla comes from the aboriginal word means “rushing waters”, describing the park’s stunning waterfalls. It approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Brisbane City.
Since it is quite a distance from our house, we decided to leave as early as 8 o’clock in the morning. We reached the place around 9:30am. It was a good time as there were still lots of spaces in the car park and it wasn’t that crowded. The entrance is free.
Along the way, we were able to appreciate the Obi Valley and Kondalilla falls from two separate lookouts. It is so beautiful! The rockpools above the waterfall on the Skene creek is a popular swimming spot in the park. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring any swimming clothes. We will definitely try it next time!
Although the walk can be challenging due to multiple stairs and rocky path, we were able to reach the bottom of the waterfalls at approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from the entrance including the stops we made. It is definitely worth it!
Take note: Pets are not allowed in the park. Also, there’s a proper bathroom only in the picnic area near the entrance.

Free Staycation is the Best Holiday ⭐️
Pacific Hotel Brisbane is a 4 star accomodation which boasts stunning city views and Roma Street Parklands from the balcony.
Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
It is located approximately 6 minutes from Roma Station, 11 minutes to King George Square and a walking distance to Roma street Parklands where you can admire nature.
Facilities:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
It has an outdoor pool with decent size but not heated. It can be very cold! The gym is equipped with essential equipment but the area is not that big. However, I appreciate that there is a water dispenser in the room. They also have function halls at the top floor for private events. But what I love the most is the on site restaurant. The food is delicious but can be pricey. They also offer breakfast buffet. It is cheaper to pre book the day before.
Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Our room is the Superior Balcony plus that can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests. It has a balcony overlooking the city and Roma St parklands. What we enjoyed the most is the bed. It is so comfortable that we had no complaints at all. They also offer free wifi. The shower and bathroom is not separate though. Basic necessities are provided such as shampoo, soap, coffee, tea, sugar and a packet of milk but no bathrobe, slippers and water bottles.
Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Staff are very kind and accomodating. Since, our room wasn’t ready yet, they provided us with complimentary drinks from the bar while waiting. Wow, their frozen Margarita is excellent! It tastes good and hits the spot! Also, they let us have late check out until 12nn. It was awesome!
Overall, I highly recommend Pacific Hotel Brisbane. Thank you TRIP.com, we had a lovely stay!

Chocolates that are freshly made daily!
#christmastrip
Store: Noosa Chocolate Factory
Address: The Brisbane Arcade, 160 Queens Street, Brisbane
When Noosa Chocolate Factory opened their 3rd store in Brisbane CBD, it was a big hit for chocolate lovers. They are well known for locally made chocolates that are fresh and tasty! They also sell varieties of hot and iced drinks in store.
When we visited Brisbane Arcade, this is the first store we have noticed. We got really curious as people were lining up to enter, so we lined up as well. As we got inside the store, I was mesmerised to see chocolates with unique flavours, shapes, and sizes that I haven't seen before. Most of them are well-packaged for Christmas, making it a desirable present. So, we decided to buy as a gift for our family. The prices are affordable too. It was definitely worth it!
Take note: As the chocolate slabs are genuinely handcrafted, prices can vary on their sizes and weight. Hence, individual slabs are priced per "100g". If you are unsure, ask their friendly staff.

Brisbane's Christmas Shopping Arcade
#christmastrip
While strolling in the streets of Brisbane City, we stumbled upon a shopping arcade filled with Christmas decorations. I really admire the warm coloured fairylights blanketed every corner of the wall, complimented by the multiple wreath. The Christmas trees are also decorated with colourful baubles and glittery ribbons which made them photo worthy. The old interior design of the place made it more beautiful too!
It feels like I stepped into a magical place that can only be seen in the movies.
Inside Brisbane Arcade, there are various shops that sell handcrafted souvenirs, jewelries, clothing, chocolates and a lot more that are made locally. It is indeed one of the best places to buy gifts for Christmas. Although I didn't had a chance to buy anything for myself, I honestly had fun wandering around and taking photos of this amazing place. I bet others too!
I highly recommend visiting Brisbane Arcade this festive season. However, Arcade's Christmas decorations will last until December 29 only. See it while you can.
Have a Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas in Brisbane, Australia
#christmastrip
We are celebrating the festive season in Brisbane City this year, and it is definitely worth a visit!
There are various events around the city that run from Dec 1-24. Colourful Christmas decorations and statues can be seen from the Queen Street mall towards King George Square. I can say that these are all photo worthy spots!
There's also a pop-up photo box located outside Wintergarden where people line up to have their festive snaps taken for free. Of course, we didn't miss the chance. To make it more fun, we borrowed some glittery top too. It was awesome!
However, the highlight of our trip was having the opportunity to see the beautiful gigantic Christmas tree located in front of the Brisbane City Hall. Hands down to everyone who made this all possible. It made me really happy!

Must try: The Wheel of Brisbane 🇦🇺
#timetotravel
The Wheel of Brisbane, situated on the picturesque South Bank of the Brisbane River, offers a captivating view of the city from new heights. My visit to this iconic Ferris wheel was a memorable experience.
Stepping into the comfortable glass-enclosed cabin, I was treated to breathtaking panoramic vistas of Brisbane's skyline. The slow rotation allowed ample time to take in the sights, from the sparkling river to the modern architecture and lush parklands.
What makes The Wheel of Brisbane special is its ability to showcase the city's transformation and growth over the years. It's a serene and romantic experience, especially during sunset or when the city lights up at night.
Whether you're a tourist or a local seeking a fresh perspective on Brisbane, this attraction is a must-visit. The Wheel of Brisbane offers a unique and peaceful escape, providing a memorable journey above the city's bustling streets. #australia #brisbane #instatravel
“Beach” in the heart of Brisbane🇦🇺🌊
Hold onto your sunscreen and prepare for a wild ride because I just experienced the most shocking and interesting "beach" in the heart of #brisbane ☀️
First of all, the sand situation was perplexing. I swear I saw a city worker lugging a wheelbarrow full of sand from the nearest construction site to create this urban beach oasis. And let's not forget the curious assortment of seashells🐚
And the people-watching! Let me tell you, the combination of sunburned office workers, tourists in Hawaiian shirts (in the middle of the city, mind you), and seagulls with a penchant for French fries created a truly spectacular and bewildering spectacle. It was like a social experiment gone delightfully wrong lol

Day trip in the chill city Brisbane🏝️@Australia🇦🇺
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland which offers FREE inner-city ferry service on the river to travel around! ⛴️
The famous Queen street mall located in the heart of the city, could find any global and Australian brand there🛍️
There’s a man-made beach in South Bank area, next to it come along with The Collective Market, offering foods and unique goods🥙🍦💍 Some local bands will play music during the weekend 🎶🎸🎹
Would say this is a very stressless city and suitable for a group of family or friend to travel together!
ALL of the above attractions are in a walkable distance!! Isn’t it amazing🤩🤩🤩

The Steve Irwin Zoo - A Great Family Time
Thinking of heading to brisbane Australia this fall and want to have some awesome family time?
Why not head up north towards sunshine Coast where you can put both road tripping and family time together as the drive to the australia zoo(owned by the renowned Steve Irwin) might take you approx an hour to an hour half drive from brisbane.
Located at 1638 Steve irwin way, this zoo has many animals where you will be able to do some petting especially towards the wallabies and the koala, this zoo also has more of the interactive kind of experience where every kids will be excited for! Of course the prices here might be abit more expensive than the other zoos, bit well it's Steve irwins owned zoo so I think it's worth it to head down for a look!
