Where to stay in Miami
The attractions of Miami are spread out North, South, East and West of the City, so basing yourself in Brickell, one stop of downtown (Government Centre Metro Rail Station) could be a good balance between convenience (transport) and price (cheaper than South Miami Beach)
Brickell is on the airport train line, making it easy to get here, even with check in luggage, as there are elevators at the Metro-Rail station.
Even though it is not as convenient as Downtown Miami, there are actually a lot more 3/4/5 star hotels here, as well as good restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Kaori is an Asian fusion restaurant a 2 min walk from the Metro Rail station is listed in the Michelin Guide, and their raw/ sashimi dishes are a delightful way to dine after a hot day in the Miami heat.
South of Brickell is Villa Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, an 1920s palace with exquisite gardens. The guided tour ($5 extra) is well worth it, and it is about 15 mins by the free Trolley bus from Brickell or 10 mins by Lyft or Uber.
East of Brickell is South Beach/ Miami Beach (40 mins on Route 100 Bus from Downtown Miami/ Government Centre Metro Rail), with its famous Art Deco buildings on Ocean Drive
North of Brickell is Wynwood Walls (40 mins by bus or the Trolley bus), or quicker by Lyft or Uber. Well worth paying $12 extra for admission for their curated exhibitions. Dine at Joey's beforehand for a promo code/ discounted entry to Wynwood Walls.
West of Brickell is Little Havana. Take the Route 8 bus for a 35 min trip and dine at Versailles Restaurant for delicious value for money home cooked Cuban specials. I loved the fish but they have an extensive Chefs specials menu.

Safest country for female solo travelers
Find yourself always traveling out with family and friends? Perhaps you should experience traveling on your own, as you can set your own itinerary to your own needs and wants.
To start with your journey, you can go to Singapore. As someone who has been living in Singapore for the past 5 years, never once I got catcalled or had anything stolen here. Ranked as #4 safest country in the world and as #1 in Asia, you don’t have to worry much about your safety here.
As we can see from the maps, Singapore’s size is slightly smaller than Jakarta. The areas are divided into 9 districts. All the areas are also covered by bus and MRT for everyone to commute.
Top places that you can visit to explore: Marina Bay Sands (MBS) area, Chinatown, Bugis, Orchard and Sentosa, where you can find things to buy, eat or just hanging around chilling. If you feel like exploring nature, or just enjoying the scenery of Singapore, you can try Marina Barrage, Fort Canning, East Coast Park, Henderson Waves or going on an easy hike at Bukit Timah Reserve.
One of my favorite areas is the Joo Chiat neighborhood, where you can see some peranakan houses. A few of the offices and shops along here have been restored to their lovely Peranakan heritage, where most of the time they just renovated the inside without changing the exterior. There are some yoga, pilates, boxing and gym studios in this area too, along with bars and coffee shops.

Should you visit The Whitsundays?🇦🇺
📍The Whitsundays (Whitehaven Beach), Queensland, Australia
Today we went on a tour of The Whitsundays, located in Australia’s ‘Heart of the Great Barrier Reef’.
What an absolutely breathtaking place - hands down, the BEST beaches I’ve ever seen in my life.
First stop: a snorkel with all the fishes by the incredible coral reefs!
Second stop: Whitehaven beach. The sand was like chalk, it was so white!!
Third stop: Hill Inlet lookout to see the insane swirling sands - I honestly still can’t believe how beautiful this was.
What an amazing day - Australia has totally shocked me with its beauty, so excited to see what else it’ll bring.

8 Nights in Seminyak, Bali🇲🇨
📍Seminyak, Bali
Our last destination in Bali was Seminyak. Here are some of our Seminyak highlights; Surfing classes, La Brisa Sunday market in Canggu, getting to eat an amazing Sunday roast after craving it for months, our little apartment, amazing sunsets and Bintang beers.
Half way through our travels around Indonesia, we got a little tired of constantly moving around. We decided to book 8 nights at a gorgeous, modern apartment with a kitchenette & wanted to play house for a little while. We got to cook our own meals, which we haven’t been able to do in months & have a big space all to ourselves. It was also a pretty good price (£16 a night each) so we were super happy.
We heard pretty bad things about Kuta, Seminyak & Canggu, before arriving in Bali, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, those areas don’t offer the typical westerner tourist with a true Balinese local experience. However, if you’re still visiting Ubud, the Gili islands, the Nusas, Uluwatu etc, Seminyak and Canggu are sooo good for accessibility. There are restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, day trips, galleries and amazing events to attend.

Should you visit Uluwatu, Bali?🇮🇩
📍Uluwatu, Bali
Uluwatu is characterised by the steep, white cliffs that line the coast. The beaches are plentiful and the ocean showcases humungous waves - perfect for surfing & perfect for wave watching at a cliff top bar.
After being on the small islands of Gili T & Nusa Lembongan for a week and a half, the accessibility of Uluwatu was definitely welcomed. There is an insane amount of good restaurants to choose from and grab is so easy to use, but Uluwatu is definitely not a walkable location due to the geography of the area (very hilly & mountainous).
If you fancy visiting somewhere in Bali with beautiful views, modern cafes & restaurants and awesome beaches - Uluwatu is the one!

The Island of Nusa Lembongan🇮🇩
📍Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Penida!
Nusa Lembongan has flown by. We’ve spent 5 nights here and it barely felt like 2!
Almost everyday we picked a beach club and absolutely chilled. We found a cafe (B’Fresh) that we visited everyday because it was so cheap & delicious. We discovered our love for Bintang beers (especially lemon Bintang). And we even found an amazing donut place on the island. We had scorching hot days in the sun and thundering, rainy nights.
The highlight of our trip was our last day where we took a day trip to Nusa Penida. We stopped at a few different tourist spots; the famous Kelingking beach that looks like a cute dinosaur, broken beach which has the bluest water, Angel Billabong & Crystal Bay. We got lucky and were put in a lovely group of friendly people from all over the world. We all took turns playing music that encapsulates each of our countries (we chose Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Bonkers’ and The Streets’ ‘Fit but you know it’ for Britain😂🇬🇧). It was a really great day!
Other than a day trip to Nusa Penida, that isn’t too much to do in Nusa Lembongan. There’s a few sights on the island, but if you don’t drive a scooter, they’re pretty hard to get to. If you’re tight on time, 3 nights would definitely be enough :)

Nusa Penida Day Tour🇮🇩
Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel Billabong & Crystal Bay🌴
Top Tips:
1. Go to Kelingking Beach early!! It is very hard to hike both down & up to the beach - it will be so hot if you hike back up midday. Bring water & things to cool you down.
2. Be careful of the monkeys at Kelingking beach!
3. All of these tourist spots are very crowded, so expect that.
4. Fittingly, the drive to Broken Beach features a very broken road - it is very bumpy, so be prepared!
5. Crystal Bay is very tiny, if you want to stay there all day, maybe bring snacks with you.

Where to stay:
* or should I say ‘where not to stay’😂 We stayed at Nusa Bagus Homestay for 5 nights - £5.15 each, per night. This was our cheapest accommodation in Indonesia yet, with our other accommodations averaging around £10. Although it is definitely not the worst we’ve stayed at, it wasn’t great. The WiFi has been none existent, no cleaning, pretty sure we heard rats scurrying across the ceiling, the owner isn’t very friendly & the beds were so Uncomfy. But for £5 a night - you’ve got your kettle, fridge, sometimes hot water, coffee sachets etc. It wasn’t that bad!

SHOULD YOU VISIT GILI TRAWANGAN?🇮🇩
Gili Trawangan has been my favourite place in Indonesia so far. Almost every day here, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of swimming with the turtles. It still blows our mind that the turtles are almost always there and you can just rock up on the beach to have some of the best experiences of your life - for free!
The island is so small (we bicycled around the entire coast in an hour!) and there are no motor vehicles at all on the island. Instead, people opt for bicycles & (unfortunately) horses. This really heightens the feeling of ‘the island life’🌴
From Gili T, you can do snorkelling trips and trips to the neighbouring islands of Gili Air & Gili Meno. And, although we have heard very bad things about the ferries to Gili T, our ferry (we went with Eka Jaya) was less than an hour & super smooth! So worth the trip from Bali.

TRAVEL BLOG FOR CANGGU, BALI 🇮🇩
📍Canggu, Bali
Our first stop in Bali was Canggu. Now, Canggu doesn’t have the best reputation - there is pretty much nothing to do, besides shop in expensive stores, go to expensive restaurants/cafes & watch extremely attractive Australians on the beaches😂
However, I’m not mad about it. The locals here are absolutely some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our travels - so welcoming, so smiley & (as someone who can be quite skeptical of overly friendly people) it actually felt so genuine.
We had some banging food, some delicious cocktails and, despite the weather forecast always being rain & thunder, the weather has been so sunny & scorching hot!🌞

SHOULD YOU VISIT UBUD, BALI?
📍Ubud, Bali
One thing that stands out about Ubud is the art culture. Ubud is known as a centre for traditional crafts and dance, and around the town there is art in the form of paintings, dance, kites and dress.
Surrounding Ubud are villages specifically dedicated to art. On one of our days in Ubud, we went to a silver class and made our own beautiful silver rings. The entire village where the class was located was dedicated to so many different types of art. What stood out the most about our class, was the fact that our rings were made solely utilising the materials found on the island of Bali. For instance, the glue for our gem stones and the soap that we shined our rings with, was made using a local fruit.
Another key aspect of our stay in Ubud is the guest house that we stayed in, Bali Moon Guest House. Right in the centre of Ubud, but tucked away in the rice fields, made it one of the most convenient and most beautiful places we’ve stayed. The views from our room of pure greenery & nature were an absolute blessing to wake up to every morning.
The rice terraces in Ubud are a popular tourist attraction that we decided to check out on our last day & I’m so glad we did. We decided to have a snack at Tis Cafe that overlooked the rice terraces & the views were absolutely stunning - I highly recommend visiting!
The only thing we disliked about Ubud was the traffic. Bali traffic really is something else. There are constant cars and bikes crawling through traffic, every single day. The town is also so busy, so walking on the cracked pathways, dodging everyone, can get quite frustrating. However, I totally wouldn’t skip Ubud & would recommend anyone to go for at least 3 nights to see everything Ubud has to offer!

Would totally love to stay here again. #marinabaysands #Travellers #mbs
Should you visit Cairns, Australia?🇦🇺
📍Cairns, Australia
Our very first stop in Australia - Cairns. Upon arrival I was hit with a big culture shock - everywhere looks familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. The city, and perhaps Australia in general, feels like a merge between America and Britain.
I didn’t anticipate how much I’d be walking in Australia, but the streets are so clean and so accessible, we ended up walking everywhere - especially the promenade / Cairns esplanade (which is such a beautiful walk).
I also couldn’t resist checking out Cairns’ markets - Rusty’s market was fab & so was the night market. There are also so many Vietnamese and Thai food & coffee places that are great to try.
Honestly, as a big fat foodie, my favourite thing so far has been just walking up and down the supermarket isles, looking at all the crazy snacks that Aussie’s have! I’ve made it my mission to try a new snack every day, so stay tuned if you’re into that kinda thing 🍪🍦🍫

New attraction at the top of Canada hill is MIRI signboard.
From the top of the Canada Hill we can enjoy the enrich of light in Miri city.
It is nice to be there on the day but it is nicer when be there at night. But not many view can be seen during the night because of the poor lighting. There are a lot of mosquitos too at night. So, make sure you are using long pant when you are here at night.
Beside it, the Miri Petroleum Museum also closed if you are here at this hour since they are open daily from 9am to 4.45pm except on monday where it is closed.
If you are here on evening, there are few kiosks open here served you with snacks and drinks.
