Local Favorite Spots in Prague: Bowling in Europe!
My first time bowling in Europe was at Absolute Bowling! Initially, I was just checking the map near DOX to see if there were other places to visit, and I spotted this landmark. I immediately decided to go on an adventure! I must say, this place is incredibly fun! Absolute Bowling is definitely a 'hidden gem' on the Prague travel list!
Besides the bowling lanes, there are some entertainment facilities and a dining area. But the most surprising thing is that they only have four lanes! Haha, this mini scale instantly makes you relax, making it a perfect spot for a casual gathering. What's even more surprising is that their lanes use strings to pull the balls back and reset the pins! This super retro design is something I've never seen before, and it felt like I traveled back in time. On that day, the place was mostly filled with locals, and our group of Asian faces stood out, but this atmosphere made us feel very grounded, like we were blending into the daily lives of the locals. As for the price, it's genuinely affordable! The funniest part is that the price of a Coke we ordered was almost the same as renting a lane XD (A bottle of Coke 39 CZK / Three games + shoe rental 133 CZK).
If you have time after bowling, you must visit the nearby popular Cafe Letka. This café is a local favorite and is perfect for taking photos! The interior design of the café blends historical and modern elements, with walls that retain the marks of time, paired with large mirrors and vintage furniture, creating a unique atmosphere. Especially the seats by the window, the lighting is excellent, making the ambiance perfect! Highly recommended.
In conclusion, the next time you visit Prague, if you've seen most of the sights and want to relax, Absolute Bowling is definitely a fantastic choice! And just a heads up, it's only open on weekends.
