It's an annual event held in Victoria Park. It's really nice to see and I was amazed at displays from different countries. There were many people though but for 14 HKD entrance, I think it's expected. Tips: 1. Keep your belongings with you at all times. 2. Wear comfortable attire and shoes. The marina bay event area has an ongoing event called the Great Bay Fiesta. The Great Bay Fiesta has the Great Circus De Cascades where performances come from around the globe to show off their stunts and talents. The show last about 90mins, and I do recommend to come early to get your seating because even if you book the VIP seats it's still free for all in the front. It's the year end season and everywhere around Singapore is being heavily decorated with Christmas trees, lightings, ornaments and events also popping up all around! One thing you should not miss is to head to the Christmas Wonderland located at gardens by the bay. Recommended to go in at a later timing so that you are able to see the many displays being lighted up. If possible try going on weekdays, as this place can get really crowded. Also, there is a light show in the middle of the Christmas wonderland during certain timings where the lights will dance to the Christmas carols being played. If you are around Marina Bay Sands, head down to the great food fiesta located right beside the uncle Ringo Amusement park. There are more than 15 over store vendors here selling different food apart from your normal milk tea, fried chicken or sweet corn store. This is catered to the Christmas carnival where they sell special kind of donuts, to Korean fried chicken and fries, to even durian where you can open on the spot, thai food and even beer in a cup. Everyone knows the city of Tokyo never sleeps especially with all the beautifully illuminated lights being lighted up on buildings, bridges and on the roads at night. There is an event currently in Tokyo Racecourse called the Tokyo City Keiba located at 2 Chome-1-2 Katsushima, Shinagawa City, Tokyo 140-0012, where you can also take the train to this area. The entire area has now been lighted up with beautifully coloured lights stunning music and light shows, lighted up waterfountains displays and many others as this is currently a colloboration with one of the arts company. Mooncake festival is round the corner at the 10th of September this year and many are preparing to get boxes of mooncakes as gifts of appreciation to friends and relative. There is a road show currently happening at level 1, infront of tangs where there are more than 15 over vendors selling their mooncakes. Tongji University’s State Key Laboratory for Marine Geology is a state-of-the-art lab in China, located in Lingang area. This laboratory facilities include two main buildings, the China National Scientific Seafloor Observatory, many fully-emptied laboratories, and a new wing that will become fully available in the next few months. MGLab is the China hub for IODP (International Ocean Discovery Program), which is the largest international collaborative research program on earth sciences and deep ocean. MGLab is also one of the main research centers for marine sciences in China. Additionally, has an awarded outreach program that included the Deep-Sea Pavilion with scientific exhibitions for children and general public. MGLab has many study-tours to students, academia and institutions, to promote and inspire new generations in marine based science and technology. The facilities were recently remodeled, includes now few lodge rooms and resting areas. Tours allow students to admire firsthand how marine researchers do their different tasks. Thailand is very famous for a festival called songkran which normally happens in April period. This festival is world famous and also known as the water splashing festival. This festival symbolises the start of the Buddhists new year and is also a great way to cool off in the hot weather in April. During this period, many locals will present offerings to monk, releasing birds or fishes and most importantly splashing of water which they believe to bring good luck, health and longevity of life.
