Buildings by Famous Architects
Science & Technology Museums
Anonymous User
The Macau Science and Technology Museum was designed by the famous Chinese designer I.M. Pei. The exterior walls of the building are finished with silver-gray metal aluminum panels supplemented with dark granite. From a distance, the appearance is very scientific, and it follows Pei's architectural style of geometric patterns. The Macau Science Museum aims to promote popular science education for young people, cooperate with the development of Macau tourism, and serve as a regional popular science education and exhibition platform. It is colorful and has many exhibition halls, including the Astronomy Science Hall, the Children's Science Hall, the Navigation Science Hall, etc. Each exhibition hall has a unique theme and interactive experience, allowing children to learn and gain knowledge while having fun.

Macau [Fortress of Mount Fortress] Also known as St. Paul's Fortress, it was built in 1617 and completed in 1626, which took ten years. The fortress was built on a hill. Although the hill is not high, it is located in the center of the Macau Peninsula and is the main commanding height, which is convenient for controlling all directions. It covers an area of about 8,000 square meters and has complete facilities. The fortress is equipped with a reservoir, military storage, officers and soldiers' barracks, etc. It was the center of Macau's defense system at that time. The fortress can mount up to 32 cannons, and together with other fortresses, it forms a wide firepower defense network covering the east and west coasts. The Fortress of Mount Fortress was listed as a military restricted area for a long time. In 1965, the meteorological station was built at the original barracks location, and it was opened as a tourist area in 1976. In 1998, the government converted it into the Macau Museum and opened it to the public.

Take the cable car from Erlonghou Park to save time and effort. There is a fort and the previous military tunnel on the top of the mountain to see. There is a small church next to the lighthouse, and the photo punch is very good. On the second floor, you can see a part of the race track from the observation deck. If you want to see the Grand Prix competition for free, you must come to occupy the location early. After taking the cable car down the mountain, another exit of the park is the Songshan Tunnel. It takes only 15 minutes to walk to Jinlianhua Square, which is very convenient.
