However, Madonna postponed the beginning of her tour on July 15, 2023 because of a serious bacterial infection that required her to stay in the ICU for a few days. Her manager, Oseary, reported her condition on Instagram.

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,” he wrote. “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

On July 12, Madonna posted: “Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. My focus now is on my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe.”

The commencement of the tour was planned for July 15 at the Rogers Arena located in Vancouver, Canada, after which the celebrity would perform at numerous venues across Canada and the US. The delay of the tour has been verified by the promoter, Live Nation. Once a new date is announced, or if new dates aren’t announced within 60 days, a refund can be requested, the company said.
