Explore the creation and use of maps during the Second World War. Discover their use through personal stories, photography, and memorabilia. Between 1939 and 1945 over 3 billion maps were produced for the Allied, Soviet and German forces. Used to navigate the jungles of south-east Asia or for devising an escape plan, the maps on display are now mementoes. Maps kept alongside medals and photographs to say ‘I was there.’ You'll find aerial photography, war diaries, and even a fashionable dress made from escape and evasion maps. The exhibition introduces us to a Prisoner of War, an RAF pilot, a Brigadier and an army chaplain through the maps they kept as a memory of their war service.

My favorite National Gallery of Scotland, I visit three times every time I come. Enter, the middle position on the left is worth admiring Potticelli, the Virgin kneeling to the Son Jesus, this delicate description of the work, placed in the most central position, next to Leonardo da Vinci&#39;s work, but this rarely seen, is his unfinished work, and posterity added some background. The fourth floor impressionist: Van Gogh&#39;s two works of different periods, Gaugin&#39;s most famous works, my favorite is several scenery of C&eacute;zanne, with a watercolor taste, different, and a large portrait of Diego&#39;s natural state, which is also the first time I have seen a different work. I personally think Monet is the most common in an exhibition hall, most visitors only pay attention to Monet and Van Gogh.

One of Edinburgh&#39;s characteristics, the second time. It is worth visiting, especially the sense of ritual of the salute is worth waiting. The view of the bow gate that comes out is very effective. You can buy some souvenirs with castle signs and recommend it to everyone.

Old town is very touristy but is worth going&hellip;&hellip; eg lots of shops and unique and old buildings, lots of people as well. There are quite a lot of bars and restaurants serving traditional Scottish dishes.
