The highly anticipated Scratch Night is returning to Dance Base in Edinburgh this Spring 2024, showcasing an exciting lineup of new works by talented artists. Presented by Scottish dance-theatre company Shotput, this special edition event will feature performances by Adrenalism, Craig Manson, Greg Sinclair, Tess Letham, and Yuxi Jiang. 

The Scratch Night provides a unique platform for dance and movement artists to experiment with their ideas on stage, while engaging with a live audience. This event encourages artists to share their work with peers, the sector, and the public. Shotput's co-directors, Lucy Ireland and Jim Manganello, along with Dance Base Artistic Director Tony Mills, will facilitate relaxed conversations, creating a safe space for artists to receive feedback from the audience.

In addition to the captivating performances, the evening will also offer networking opportunities during the interval, allowing audience members and artists to connect. Shotput, founded in Glasgow in 2018, is known for its exploration of contemporary life through dance-theatre, incorporating athleticism, humor, and an element of the absurd. Led by Lucy Ireland and Jim Manganello, alongside creative producer Helen McIntosh, Shotput brings a fresh and innovative perspective to the stage.

One of Edinburgh&#39;s characteristics, the second time. It is worth visiting, especially the sense of ritual of the salute is worth waiting. The view of the bow gate that comes out is very effective. You can buy some souvenirs with castle signs and recommend it to everyone.
