|1.16km from city centerWe just spent 2 weeks at Hotel Rio. The best location, the best rooms and the best bar and restaurant. Thank you Carlos and the crew at Coexist (Kevin, Niva and Nacho) for our 2 weeks so good. Rooms very nice, we had a corner king with a wrap around balcony. The food and cocktails at the restaurant is top notch. We had breakfast lunch and dinner during our stay and food was very good. You can’t beat the location. Thank you Hotel Rio for such a wonderful vacation. Before we left we made our reservations for February 2025

Puerto Vallarta
|4.07km from city centerThis is an affordable all-inclusive place to stay with a nice beach for swimming and sitting on the sand. There isn't much shade but you can rent a beach umbrella and chairs. The lobby and buffet are open air so it can get really hot during the warmer months. The food was safe, but unremarkable. There was a good variety of choices everyday and each night at the buffet had a theme, such as Mexican, Seafood night and BBQ to name three. We were there at the beginning of October and the weather was still quite hot and the Air Conditioning in the inside restaurants was not quite strong enough to cool the place down, but the servers were excellent. I was worried before arriving that the hotel would be noisy at night, but they have a night club for the resort across the street for all of the late night partiers making the hotel a quiet place to rest and sleep. However, one of the elevators must have been over something very stinky because most of the time, there was a smell of sewer for a lot of our rides. It was the elevator that was for the rooms on the beach front side of the hotel that went up to the 7th floor. The other elevator in that section only went up to the 6th floor. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on a top floor with roof exposure so our room was never able to cool down below 77 degrees despite the hotel's efforts to fix the AC so I had difficulty sleeping. I understand the lower rooms were nice and cool for sleeping. The maid did a great job keeping our room clean! This is a great place to stay for those who like a busy active beach area. It is centrally located which makes it easy to go into town or access tours. The hotel staff was great. If you want a more relaxing, quieter beach and pool, you will probably need to go elsewhere.

|6.79km from city centerThe hotel is very quiet and makes you feel at home. The staff is very kind and pleasant. Always wearing face masks and keeping a safe distance The breakfast is tasty, we appreciated the fruit and the waffles wish they had some coffee or tea also in the evening. The pool area is lovely just wish the water of the pool was bit warmer. The location is very convenient in a beautiful neighbourhood with plenty of amenities within walking distance a church and very close to the airport We will gladly come back in the future. Ohh my only complaint is that they didn’t have more soap we used the one they gave us when we arrived and the they didn’t have anymore in the hotel 🥴

|1.75km from city centerWe stayed at Los Arcos Suites which is part of Hotel Los Arcos in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. We stayed from December 6, 2023 to March 27, 2024. The people that work at the hotel are really excellent including: Hilda and Marta, Reservations; Miguel Gradilla, Concierge; Mirella Fragoso, Front Desk; Magda Gomez, Special Events. Other people that were very helpful to us during our stay include Luis, Miguel, Jorge, Adriane (Activity Director). A very special person is Soledad, who looked after keeping our room beautiful and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the Happy Hour (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.) at El Publico Restaurant. We are looking forward to our next visit.

|1.98km from city centerThe view from the room is great, whatever.
It was great because I could wake up in the morning with the sound of the waves.
It is very convenient to enter the sea because you can borrow beach parasols and towels.
The price is reasonable, but the restaurant is located at the beach front, so you can also eat and drink beer while entering the sea.
I will definitely stay if I go to PV again.

Puerto Vallarta
|0.97km from city centerWe had a wonderful stay at the bellview in PV. From the friendly and helpful front desk to the attentive waiters in the amazing Capella restaurant, the service was impeccable. Daniella and Chantal in the front office offered a wealth of information and we’re always present to assist us with a smile. Truly appreciated. We were celebrating a birthday and the front desk sent the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries to our room. We also had dinner in the restaurant, and enjoyed the strolling violinists and the delicious food served facing the fabulous view and sunset. One day we had forgotten to turn our “make the room sign” and when we returned late afternoon we wanted to get some fresh towels and within just a few minutes, someone came to refresh our bathroom. The hotel itself is quaint and tastefully appointed with each room having its own charm. Ours had an exceptionally large balcony o overlooking Our lady of Guadalupe church. In addition to being large we enjoyed having a veranda complete with a fountain ( hence the name fuente Milagros) Bedding was firm just the way we like it. Overall a great stay! We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place.

|1.75km from city centerWe visited Puerto Vallarta a few months ago and stayed at the Arcos Suites Hotel. We loved it so much that I decided to book this trip at Dona Susana for my husbands bday. The staff makes you feel so welcomed and attentive to all your needs since this hotel is partnered with los Arcos Hotel and los Arcos Suites. However, our stay at Dona Susana disappointed us. Our room smelled like fresh paint, the bed was so uncomfortable. We barely slept the days we stayed there. I booked a second room to see if our bed was the only one hard to sleep in, but I found out they all are the same. Another issue we had was the use of the pool. I got a skin rush all over my body and my husband got an ear infection after using the pool. I don’t know when was the last time they cleaned it. We opted for the all inclusive at that hotel but it’s useless because you don’t have access to anything there. You have to walk to the other hotel to use the all inclusive benefits. I don’t recommend to get that package unless you stay at the Los Arcos Hotel. The bar at Dona Susana rooftop was closed for no reason given. Overall, would I stay at this hotel again? Yes, only if changes are made for the things we hated because the hotel is well located, the staff are very welcoming, the hotel is nice itself. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5 stars.

|2.28km from city centerThe staff made our trip such a memorable and incredible one. While the room we stayed in wasn’t what we’re used to, as it seemed quite run down, we only slept in it and spent our day at the pool and beach. Our housekeeper was incredible and always filled the room with extra water bottles. Manuel, Saul, Miguel, Javier, Victor Hugo (waiter), Oscar, Guadalupe, and Edgar were especially amazing, making our days here brighter. Everyone was truly incredible and they all made my first Mexico trip special. The wifi could have been better, as it was constantly disconnecting throughout the day. The food was decent as well considering the chefs produce a ton for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overall a beautiful trip!

They have a restaurant right in front which of course it a pay restaurant but it’s great. The staff is also all so great and friendly there. The one that stole my heart was Carole, she works in the bar managing. This was very special being that I celebrated my 50th I will definitely will be back.

|5.48km from city centerThis was our second visit to Vamar. Our main reason for returning to Vamar was price. On our previous visit we had a room with a balcony and while we enjoyed the balcony we found the room to be very dark with areas we considered to be dead spaces. Fast forward to this trip. Vamar fit the bill for a relatively economical priced trip, meaning it had to be reasonable in price to eat out most meals and provide a comfortable clean place to sleep. Our room was clean and while lacking in balcony space was bright and quiet. We purchased a cooler from Kiosko along with ice and boom we had a refrigerator. We did enjoy one lunch beachside and found the waitstaff attentive. On the Marina side we enjoyed a few late lunches and again found all the waitstaff to be very attentive and accommodating. We enjoy a glass or two or three of white wine and we never found our glasses to be empty for long. We appreciated again the availability of self service coffee at the Lobby Bar and the baked goods also provided. We enjoyed our ”happy hours” and while seating was not always available in the bar area, we managed to find seating not too far away. Puerto Vallarta in general has so many great restaurants and the Marina is no exception. If you find it in your budget to eat off property and are looking for a smaller hotel than give Vamar a try.

Puerto Vallarta
|1.41km from city centerStayed one night during peak season NYE 2024 as my group Airbnb Reso wasn't until the day following. Found this hotel online and to be frank, it seemed too good to be true. I was reluctant as reviews were split between hot and cold. Decided to throw my dice in the ring and boy am I pleased that I did! Although this is by no means a fancy, luxury hotel, it's nicely maintained, exceptionally clean and my room was both spacious and comfortable. I reserved the most basic room available and it was at least 600 SQFT (3x the size of a traditional US room). Air conditioning worked wonderfully and my room also had a balcony. Now although this wasn't a problem for me, I could see how some guests would be deterred by the noises coming from neighboring restaurants and bars. If I could offer one very minor suggestion, it would be to leave a couple extra towels (there was one small shower towel in the room and that's it). Location could not be better so if you are looking for a clean place to stay and be right smack dab in the middle of all the fun, stay here!

|1.18km from city centerFriendly, well located hotel, about a block from the market and 1/2 block from Rio Cuale. It's 4-5 blocks in from the malecon, so for me close enough. I'm not a beach person, so I much prefer proximity to great shopping and good restaurants! This was my second stay at the Porto Allegro. I was given a lovely corner room, with a small balcony and lots of windows with pull down shades. The room had excellent AC, coffee maker, two bottles of water daily, and a fridge. The bathroom was clean, with a shower and thoughtful toiletries , like a pack of tissues and a sponge, along with the usual items. The hotel has a restaurant upstairs that serves a nice breakfast to order. The only downside I can even think of is that the elevator is small and a bit slow. But they have an elevator! All of the staff have been very kind and helpful without being intrusive. I recommend this small hotel if you prefer something traditional, clean, and welcoming. I expect to return again and again ....

|2.87km from city centerWe ended up getting to the property a couple hours before check in but our concierge Franco greeted us at our first step out of our shuttle. His team grabbed our bags as he escorted to the front desk. We had 3 rooms booked and they were able to give us 2 of them adjoining. We had to wait a couple hours to check in but we got our bracelets, a quick tour and sat down for some lunch a few drinks while we waited! Smooth check in process! The service from housekeeping to bartenders to pool servers were all so friendly and fast! The pool food was great for snacking on. The breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety of choices. Drinks were mostly small unless you asked for a bigger glass, which was never an issue. All 3 of our rooms were pretty clean and housekeeping kept up with everything pretty well! The beach was a great spot for sunsets. Few vendors around but they weren’t too much of a bother. Not much of a swimming style beach due to how rough it was at the time we visited. The lobby bar was a good time in the evening with live music! All in all, we would definitely head back!

Puerto Vallarta
|4.99km from city centerOur stay has been an invitation to come back and come back, starting with customer service. A first class service from the person who receives you at the hotel and opens the door of the car where you arrive, the people who kindly attend you at the reception with a smile and an authentic sense of service, the porters who go out of their way to ask you for a taxi and help you load what you bring without being asked, and anyone who works in the hotel in the reception area is undoubtedly there to serve you with the best service disposition. Also in the pool area, and restaurants.
The impeccable place, with an architectural beauty. Its spaciousness and distribution of both the hotel and the rooms welcome you. The fact of being an open place allows us to feel the weather, and the wind that blows is a very pleasant sensation. The decoration of the place is warm and tasteful, giving us a feeling of being ”at home”.
The location of the place gives rise to going for a walk to the Marina, both day and night, with complete security, and all the places we went are very close, 5, 10, 15 minutes by car: Walmart, Shopping Centers , Malecon, Downtown, Restaurants, Maritime Terminal.
The access to the beach is a delight, with unbeatable views of the sunset.
We enjoy the extra activities that the stay at the hotel includes, and the fact that they are not invasive to our moments of being.
The food is very good, and although the price is a bit high, it is worth staying **** at the hotel to eat.
I want to close by congratulating the Customer Service program that the hotel has, since it is surely an administration that takes its time to train all the people who work there in this area. Customer service makes the difference in an experience, and that is what we look for when going on vacation, living pleasant and memorable experiences.
Congratulations for your excellent service to all the people who work at Club Regina Puerto Vallarta!

|0.19km from city centerwe stayed here for two weeks on a recent vacation. After reading some reviews we were a bit worried- but... i have stayed in far worse places in Canada. The water is hot ( unlike what some reviews said) - it just took a couple of minutes and a few tries before we realized hot and cold placements on faucet were opposite to ours at home. The beds were comfortable. Our initial room was small ( but it was what we had booked) with two twin beds, but we requested and received almost immediately a larger room with two double beds (with no cost difference). The wifi was good in the room- poor on rooftop- but that was fixed during our stay. Daily breakfast was good- always with fresh fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs with some additions- ie ham, sausage, etc and a couple of mexican dishes- coffee and juice- not 5 star in content or variety- but still good and filled the hole. The elevator also always worked, Staff were excellent- for example- i lost a nut on my wheelchair- maintenance came- found a correct sized nut and fixed- thanks again. All in all- I give them a 4 star especially for the staff

Puerto Vallarta
|4.26km from city centerWe have been here several times before. It is sad they have done nothing to the property in years, peeling paint, the pool needs work, the ”hot Tub” is Luke warm and they don't always turn on the jets, they never cleaned the pool area. Landscaping used to be much better. The room was right on the beach but the walls had mildew, the patio door latch was broken, furniture was well worn ,the bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioner blew right on it droning all the time to keep the room somewhat cool and the bathroom was a disaster. The shower had a 2 foot step up and the shower head hit mid chest, slick tile and the sink faucet had to be played with to shut off and the toilet seat was loose, very poor lighting. Maid service was spotty sometimes you got it other times not. They have taken out all the phones and you need the app to reach the front desk. Staff has been cut and most times there was only one bartender at any of the bars. They had a soap party on Friday at the pool other than that there was no pool entertainment. The food had really gone down hill. frozen fish in some sort of goop, fatty pork ribs and some sort of stew, that's it for lunch and dinner. The pool side burgers are dry, small and not all beef. Deserts, don't bother. The specialty restaurants are just as bad, burnt shrimp, over cooked chicken that couldn't be cut with a knife and fatty pork. Very little beef, in fact the only good thing we had was French onion soup. Be prepared to go out to eat a lot. Yes they water down the drinks, a lot and if you ask for just a shot I comes from a different bottle on the shelf. Service is lacking due to staff cuts. We used to enjoy Crown Paradise but this will be our last time here.

|1.72km from city centerEnjoyable all-inclusive resort experience right on the beach. Several pools to choose from with a variety of bars and restaurants throughout Secrets as well as on the Dreams side of the resort. Lots of different types of cuisine for different palettes and dietary needs. None of the food was bad but nothing I had really blew me away either. It was nice not having to make reservations at any of the dining places and the longest we had to wait for a table for 2 was maybe 10 minutes at the fancy Italian place. Marketing staff near the front lobby are pretty pushy about adding on spa/dinner/wine packages and make you sit through a spiel at check-in to try to get you to spend more. Concierge was very helpful with questions about logistics around town and the bellhop/valet staff were all friendly and attentive. Bringing a rental car in and out of the hotel was really easy.

Puerto Vallarta
|3.77km from city centerWe have stayed at this resort previously and the previous experience was our reason for returning. The grounds are well maintained and from the street, the resort looks very inviting. However this trip I was less than pleased. The onsite specialty restaurants were quite disappointing this year. At the Mexican Restaurant,(Talvara), they ran out of salad. It was interesting to notice that guests who had reservations after ours and who were Spanish speaking were served the salad that I had ordered. Our waiter at the restaurant forgot to place our order and was too arrogant to apologize or speak to use about his error. The restaurant manager, if you can call her that, also avoided coming to speak to us about the error. The next evening we made reservations for the Steak House restaurant. We chose the second seating that evening. When we were seated, we were informed that the restaurant was out of steak! How in the hell does that happen? The room daily maintenance was very hit and miss. Some days they were cleaned by 11:00 a.m. others not until nearly six p.m. Some days you received 4 bath towels, others only one. The bedside lamps we so dusty that if you bumped them, dust would fall onto the night stand and anything you had on the night stand. There were some bright spots at this hotel. Emma, a waitress at the Hacienda Breakfast Buffet, was always cheerful, greeted promptly and gave us a daily Spanish lesson. Another bright spot was Marissa, also in the breakfast buffet. These two ladies were always welcoming, working hard and making sure your needs were met. Elizabeth at the front desk was also a bright spot. She went above and beyond to help a guest who had lost her passport. All of the waiters around the pool areas were exceptional. All had a good sense of humor, were quick to assist and seemed to be enjoying their day. I am very doubtful about returning to this resort. It seems that management has failed in their efforts to exceed customers expectations. In fact, the one General Manager, Dominic, that I tried to approach with a concern, walked away from me.

|4.32km from city centerThe City Express Plus hotel has numerous pros and cons. Pros On the bus route Very quiet Basic continental breakfast Great staff - Fatima is wonderful Awesome ice machine Safe Clean Security - blessing and a curse Exercise room Pool - but cold as ice Air conditioning works well Cons The pillows are beyond horrible! Disasterous…lumpy…like someone took a bat or hammer and destroyed them. The hotel MUST get new pillows. Worst I have EVER used!! No refrigerator to put leftovers in The security is a blessing and a curse. You need your room key to access your hotel floor. If you have friends staying with you on a different floor, you cannot go to their room as your key will not let you access a different floor Pool is not heated - ice cold The sink is horrible. It is slanted inward, so anything that is put on the edge of the sink falls into the sink No string in shower to hang wet clothes/bathing suit Not enough hooks to hang items in bathroom No closet - hanging area with 5 hangers Only one drawer - no option to put clothes away. You HAVE to live out of your suitcase. The hotel seems to be set ip more for a person travelling on business, rather than vacation. But, they have no business center. The big question…would I stay here again. No. It does not fit what we were looking for.

|3.08km from city centerOur flight was canceled, and after a week at an all-inclusive, we spent 2 nights at Puerto del Luna. We have 2 children, ages 10 and 12, and I thought it was a charming place to stay. It is a bit older and simple, but it was cute, and safe, and made me feel like I was in Mexico. We loved the pool and the ping pong tables. The location was fantastic, as we could walk to anything and everything or take the bus. If I was going to Mexico on a dream vacation, this would not be the hotel I would choose, but as a budget friendly choice, I think it ticks all of the boxes. Omar at the front desk was great. he helped us with multiple things as we were trying to sort ourselves out after finding out we'd be ”stuck” in Mexico for an additional week. the definitely took some of our stress away and was very accommodating. I liked this place a lot for the price.

|1.93km from city centerFantastic 1 week stay at Amaca Hotel and zero complaints. I stayed in room 102 and it was just fine - albeit basic. The wifi is great, the shower is powerful and hot, the room is very clean and tidy and there is a partial sea view. I had a look up to the rooftop bar and pool, I didn't use the pool - just took some pics from there and the view is great. There is also a daily happy hour 6-8pm I believe, which will offer you a great sunset view. The front desk of the hotel will help you however you wish, super-friendly and nice. As previous posts have mentioned, getting back to the hotel of an evening or after the beach etc there is a very steep incline consisting of 100 steps - although until about 9-10pm in the evening there is a cute lift that will take you up and down. However, worth noting this point for getting about after this time of night. Will definitely come back and stay, great location for restaurants and bars.

|2.37km from city centerI don't usually post negative comments, but if this will help another traveler make an informed choice, I thought I'd let you know a couple of things. First, I booked a junior suite with an ocean view. The rooms are very nice and spacious. However, our ocean view was actually of telephone poles and wires and the thatched roof of the club across the alley. I admit, the ocean was in view, beyond these obstacles. Our original room was on the 4th floor and the first night our roof sprung a fast leak due to the downpour outside. It was mostly cleaned up and we were told to let the front desk know in the morning that we needed to move rooms.
I would have thought that due to the inconvenience of having to re-pack everything, that they would have given us an upgraded room. Instead, they gave us a junior ocean view suite on the 3rd floor with a closer view of the wires and rooftop. This room also had only one patio chair so even if we wanted to sit out on the patio, we wouldn't have been able to together. The resort itself has nice amenities.

|1.93km from city centerWe stayed in the VistaPier renovated tower of this hotel ...seems to be two sections : Hotel Delfin ( the older section which seemed like more of a budget friendly place; mostly Spanish speaking families.) The patio and pools were clean but from the outside, the rooms seem very dated. The VistaPier is a totally different experience..adult only, nice pool easy to access loungers on beach and pool deck. Restaurant for guests only and public taco cafè on property. Food and drink service on beach. There is also a breakfast buffet next door st Delfin. Guest rooms were lovely...you have to reserve the ocean view junior suite ...Modern finishes ( tile and granite and very comfortable king bed an pillows with extra blankets, fridge and nespresso machine. No issues with sir von or water. Private elevator for VistaPier guests. Also registration was classy..private lounge and offered a drink at check in ! A bit pricier than average for no meals but the location and quality were great.
