|9.5km from city centerWe were in town for business and a little beach time. The location is nicely situated near several chain restaurants (Outback, BJ’s, Chuys), Check in we were greeted so warmly! Crystal is the star talent of the property. So friendly and hospitable. The hotel has a clean, modern and youthful feel. They have a bar, live entertainment at night, pool table and spacious lounge space for meetings. Our room was quiet and on the top floor. We travelled with our two pugs and they were kindly welcomed and even given a bag of biscuits each day.it’s of good space to take them to do their own “biz meetings” . The room was spacious and thoughtfully designed with loads of cubby holes and ample closet space to keep things tidy. Bathroom shower did seem to have a leaking problem. We had to place towels all over the floor. Enjoyed having a coffee maker, sage and microwave. Sleep: quiet room facing south. AC Unit was a wall type and didn’t blow constantly- it would turn on and off through the night and was quite loud. Great gym facility! Pool was clean and grounds were well kept. And only 15 minutes to our fave spot on whitecap beach to soak up sun after our meetings were done. Will add this our Corpus list. Final props to the amazing staff. Such good people!!

|28.37km from city centerWe had reservations across the street at another hotel. It was a disaster. We wanted to leave there but needed another room. I went to HI express and found a room there on a last minute situation. Manager Joan K did an excellent job of finding us a room and we transferred that afternoon. Staff is friendly and helpful. Michael, Megan, and others do a great job of making folks feel welcome and cared for. Recommend this hotel highly.

|5.72km from city centerWe originally called Hampton Inn (which is next door) to book a room there. The lady gave us an incorrect address which was one number off. The lady kept assuring us it was the correct hotel. After it was booked and paid for, the hotel that she actually put us in was the Holiday Inn. Oh well. We get here and they put us in a room that was completely disheveled. It looked like someone had partially cleaned it but the bed sheets were wadded up in a chair, there were towels laying around on the floor, and furniture moved around, as well as various key cards on the table alongside a card that said “your room was cleaned by *name*” so we went down to get a new room. The second room was better. Around the room and the hotel there are: random stains, dents and paint chips, the elevator is extremely sketchy and feels/sounds like it’s going to get stuck or fall at any moment, and dark dingy lighting pretty much everywhere. Also, we went to the breakfast bar around 7 (opens at 6:30) and they were completely out of all fresh breakfast items such as eggs, sausage, etc. They did not refill it while we ate our dry bagels and there wasn’t anyone around to ask about it, and the waffle maker was out of order. Don’t book here if you want an updated hotel, a nice pool (it’s crappy), nice views, or a nice breakfast (or one at all). Otherwise the employees we did speak with were friendly and the second room we had was generally clean.

|0.5km from city centerThe toilet and shower were not clean at all. Had to clean then myself. The shower had no water pressure. They charge you for parking per day but our access card did not work the entire weekend. We had to press the service button to be let every time and we got stuck out there one time when no one was at the front desk. When we let the front desk know, she did not help fix the problem she just said get a ticket and the gate will open, but that did not help we we needed to exit.

|16.68km from city centerThe first time I went into the shower, it stopped mid bathing while there was shampoo in my hair. Come down to the front desk was able to get into a different room. Had to pack up everything and move with shampoo in my hair to the other room. When we moved to the other room it was 83° in there, and it smelled very bad. Called down to the front desk had to go back down a second time to get a different key for another room which I am appreciative we were able to move rooms due to the two inconveniences. The third room the bathroom light when you turned it on, proceeded to flicker repeatedly and there’s no way we could’ve used the light like that. It hurt all of our heads . Then we called down to the desk and had to go down a third time to get a different room key again appreciative that they moved us to a different room where I was able to finally finish washing the shampoo out of my hair and very disappointed in this hotel . My son dropped a napkin when he was getting his breakfast and did not notice. The lady who was taking care of the breakfast, noticed the napkin and got upset and made hand gestures and grunting about the napkin being on the floor after she cleaned that area when my son arrived to the table, I was at. I proceeded to let him know that he dropped a napkin and he turned around and picked it up and threw it away, I could not believe the behavior of the employee . The swimming pool was also very green and smelled very bad. I have a video of the bathroom light that was flickering repeatedly, but I am unable to Upload it here.

|28.35km from city centerWe have stayed multiple times at this hotel and they have always been positive experiences. Starting at check-in the staff is very friendly and professional. Sid was our check-in clerk during our stay. He would check on us daily when we passed by the check-in desk. The staff has always gone out of their way to make you feel at home. The hotel and rooms have always been exceptionally clean. The rooms have kitchenettes which is a big plus for families on a budget (eat in vs eating out). The microwave, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and sink have always been spotless. The restrooms are clean and fully functional with no drain or water pressure problems. The bed and linens have always been clean. Daily room cleaning will be upon request. The free breakfast is good. It will include all you can eat eggs, sausage or bacon, a variety of breads including making your own waffle, fruits, cereals, juices and yogurts. The only thing that may be a negative to some customers is that the hotel has no pool. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be staying again in the future.

|9.2km from city centerBeware! There are a few reviews written on here about this location 5213 Oakhurst Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78411-4369 that are not accurate: This location isn’t close to a beach, and it does not have remote controlled blinds. However, it is clean and comfortable. It’s located next to an apartment complex and next to a busy highway. It was the only hotel I could find with a suite available for our timeframe, so I’m grateful for that.

|9.24km from city centerThe breakfast was fantastic. The cooks kept bringing items out as soon as they were empty. Cereal bar, oatmeal bar, fruit bar, pastries, toasts, made-to-order omelets and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes and pancakes. The customer service was great, however you have to ask for your room to be cleaned. The room was lacking some good old scrubbing, but that’s why I travel with my Clorox wipes. Overall, great experience!

|2.1km from city centerI had a lovely experience. The hotel appeared to have been recently updated and had a relaxing and modern atmosphere. The staff at reception were so friendly and really went the extra mile in helping me with a few queries I had. The direct access to the beach was appreciated and it was nice to have a pool as well. My room felt very luxurious and was decorated nicely. There are shops nearby and the area is convenient. A great stay and I’m glad I chose it!

|7.37km from city centerThe good things first, rooms are budget friendly (on the higher end of course!) The service is amazing and so are the people who serve. Rooms are good and clean and very well maintained, has a classy touch to it. The only thing that lacks is the royal touch to it; a more grand and palatial feel inside out.

|12.54km from city centerI stayed here because my mom was hospitalized unexpectedly. I ended up paying for 5 nights, but leaving in the middle of the last night because there were cockroaches. One ran across my chest as I was laying in bed after a long day at the hospital. I had booked through hotels.com so I contacted them to see if I could get a refund and go somewhere else. They were of no help. After about 20 minutes another cockroach came in through the top of the door to the room. That was the last straw so I called the front desk and was told that because I chose to first contact the website to resolve the issue that I would have to get a refund through them and that I could leave if I wanted to. I gathered my things and went to turn in the keys and the lady and the front desk told me ”¿que te hacen unos cucarachachitos?” What will some little cockroaches do to you? I couldn't believe she was ok and AWARE that the rooms had roaches. I will never stay here again and don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

|19.21km from city centerI understand that loss of occupancy during covid might have taken a toll on some hotels. I'm assuming that's the reason the owners of this hotel haven't put any funds into improvements - wallpaper in all hallways and the rooms is peeling - it's been reglued (not very well) and stapled in so many locations - it just looks gross. The elevators aren't very clean. Carpet and furniture are dated. Towels are thin. Our bathroom had mold, even though they'd tried to paint over some of it. The lighting in the rooms is too dim, and there's an outlet only on one side of the bed. TV is old but big. There's a microwave, which is nice, but it will take 4x the normal time to heat something. Also a refrigerator in the room. Coffee pods didn't fit into the machine but still worked (still not great coffee - we went out for it). Front desk staff was friendly. We slept ok as long as we cooled the room before bed then turned off the in-room AC unit before we went to sleep. Breakfast was typical (yuck - didn't even bother). Pool area didn't seem too bad. We needed a hotel in this area and this one had the best reviews; I'm not sure why. But if it's the best one, I'd hate to see the others. If we had to come to this area again, we would look for something better, even if it was an extra 10-15 minute drive.

|14.67km from city centerAir conditioner worked well; fan ran very low when compressor was off. Bed comfort was fair, but pillows were hard. TV was mounted on wall—out of my way, since I never watch it. Internet used portal login. Without the extra cost boost, Internet speed was very slow (0.80mbps), but it was fast enough for e-mail and web browsing. (But... I had to log in again every time I restarted the computer.) Room had two beds, two chairs, a tiny night stand(fastened to wall), one table (fastened to wall), and one luggage stand. Adequate electrical outlets (but it was difficult to insert plugs into the outlets). One mirror (behind wash bowl). One wall hanger for clothes (one hook was missing). Room somewhat small. Noisy bathroom fan comes on with light—a disadvantage. It was so noisy that I unplugged it during my stay. Toilet height low (15”). Countertop height good (33”), but wash bowl protruded 3” above counter top. Shower was good, but… had shower stall only—no tub. Shower stall was small, and shower door was difficult to close (I was afraid I would break it). It was difficult to prewarm the shower without getting water on the floor. Two bars of soap were the only comps provided—no shampoo or tissues. No carpet in room. When I turned on the faucet, the aerator sprayed a tiny drizzle of water sideways! (Someone had apparently tried to increase the flow and messed it up—I fixed it a little bit.) Faucet had extremely parsimonious flow restrictor—flow rate was about 1 gallon per hour. I would have removed it, but then it would spray water all over the counter. No fridge or microwave in room. Work light over table did not work (but their maintenance man fixed it relatively quickly after I reported it). No elevator or sprinkler. About seven o’clock on Friday evening, some people came and started cutting the limbs off a beautiful palm tree by the street. That made me very upset because I thought they were going to take it down, but they only trimmed off some of the dead limbs and then left. The room was fairly quiet within, although I often heard noises from outside. The room door did not close tightly; I could see light all around it. This hotel is a good choice if you are travelling with pets, especially dogs.

|12.36km from city centerOlder property in need of renovation. Breakfast one of the poorest we have had (Platinum member so stayed at many Towneplace) in terms of selection. Pool nice but no towels provided so had to ask reception both times we used. Staff friendly and helpful. Computer in lobby not working as wanted to print something. My husband slipped in bath- no mat provided and very slippery. Really object to being charged $3.87 + tax a night for parking. Why? Not a prime location. No need and greedy. Could at least waive for Platinum. Property on a very busy road.

|12.5km from city centerI arrived at this hotel and immediately encountered refurbishing work in progress. The front desk area was chaotic, with workers on the floor directly in front of thr Front Desk and it was unclear where guests should go. A woman behind the counter ignored me, leaving me confused until one of the workers directed me to the side of the counter. Surprisingly, the same woman who had been ignoring me then greeted me. I thought it was odd that she hadn't beckoned me over. The room itself was disappointing. As soon as I opened the door, I was hit by a strong moldy smell. The ceiling had large brown blotches, some of which were partially painted over. The AC unit worked but had a large rust patch on it. There was a hole in the ceiling and white unidentified splash marks on the bed frame. The bedside table was broken, and the pillows, though in clean cases, lacked protectors and were stained yellow. Due to the ongoing refurbishments I assumed the room was mistakenly given to me thinking it was completed, so i took some pictures and went back to the reception. The receptionist, ”Jenny or Janine,” was not interested in seeing the photos and informed me she would only move me once. Her attitude suggested that providing an acceptable room was somehow my responsibility. And she would not be inconvenienced by it. This was a work trip, so I decided to check out her ”take it or leave it” offer and deal with it later. The next room was slightly better, though the pillows still lacked protectors. A quick trip to Walmart solved that issue. The receptionist could definetly benefit from additional training. I would not recommend staying here, at least not during their renovation period.

|0.41km from city centerEvaluation: The hotel front desk is friendly with its own parking building, parking 2F can go directly to the lobby, streamlined. The room is in good sanitary conditions, the balcony can see the aircraft carrier Lexington, straight line distance 5KM, and the Denan Art Museum designed by Philip Johnson is within walking distance. Recommended to stay!
Room tips: It is recommended to choose a high-rise sea view room without a balcony, which can be overlooked by the front. The rooms with balcony are all facing the sea, the location is not ideal.

|7.89km from city centerI’m usually pretty happy staying at LaQ and this time was no exception. My only big issue was there was mold growing under the silicone caulk around the tub. I feel this should have been cleaned and replaced. I also would have liked more than 1 regular coffee pack….there was 1 reg/1 decaf for 2 adults who love their coffee. The walls are a little thin, we could hear our neighbors and their children come in at 2am. Other than that our stay was great! Check in was flawless, staff was nice and attentive, bed was comfy, A/C worked great, breakfast smelled yummy but we didn’t have time to eat. Price was excellent for a last minute, holiday weekend booking. I would stay here again!

|0.84km from city centerThe service is average. The location of the hotel is very good. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the moonrise in the evening. The scenery is very beautiful. There are restaurants and shops in the surrounding area, and you can walk to several small island-style parks on the seaside, as well as museums and art galleries. The coastal promenade is also very beautiful, with popular science installations that travel through the solar system, and other art installations. Convenient to the Lexington Aircraft Carrier Museum and Aquarium/Animal Conservation Center across the river. In short, if you are not asking for a sexual vacation, staying here is a good value for money.

|7.89km from city centerThere are lots of little things that I was willing to overlook at this hotel. We walked in the lobby to and empty desk and awkwardly approached. Looked around for a second. Then the front desk person came out of the room and was very pleasant and sent us to our room with one key. Most hotels give us 2. We got on the elevator and stood in the elevator looking at each other in horror at the sounds it made. No biggie. We got to our room and the door was cracked open. I made my wife wait while I checked the room for anyone that may be in there. Went back to close the door and realized I had to force the door shut. Which was annoying during a 4 day stay. The mirrors and windows were clean… except for the tops. I guess the house keeper was short…everything above 5 ft was still dirty. No biggie. Every surface above 4 ft in the room was dusty, which is gross. There were questionable stains in several spots on the carpet. The ledge under the window and around the AC unit was loose and was basically leaning against the wall. Safety issue! All issues I was willing to overlook. Bed was not comfy. It wasn’t horrible but not great. The ding from the elevator was extremely loud all night long. Breakfast was very underwhelming after seeing the pictures of breakfast online. All of this was fine until day 3 we followed the instructions in the room and went to the front desk to fill out a housekeeping request to have our room refreshed and our towels changed. We filled it out and put it in the basket. The lady up front that was taking a complaint from another person about footprints on their toilet. We dropped of the slip and the lady yelled past the other gentleman to us asking if we were checking out. We said “no we are just filling out a housekeeping request” she seemed very irritated and asked how long we have been there. We said it was our third day. She said you have to wait until the fourth day. We said that’s not what the paper in the room says. And she said I am sorry. So my wife said “well can we get some new towels?”(they only gave us 2) she said those requests need to be made early so the housekeepers can get it ready. We looked at our phones and said it’s not even 9 yet. She made a shooing motion and said I’ll take care of it in a very rude tone. We left very upset. I have never been talked to that way at any hotel or motel ever. In the hospitality industry you never talk to a customer in that way. EVER. We went to the beach and came back at 2pm still no towels no refresh. I found the housekeeper and she was very pleasant and gave me 2new towels. We told her don’t worry about the refresh. Summary: this place is using Covid as an excuse to not clean which is counter productive to preventing Covid. It is not a large hotel more accountability is needed with housekeeping and maintenance. Any lady that speaks to a guest the way we were spoken to should be fired. If you have Covid protocols follow them all not just the convenient ones. I would not recomme
