Outstanding
GGuest UserDuring my 13-hour layover in Baku, I chose to unwind at the Fly Inn Baku Hotel, seeking a relaxing break between flights. Discovered online and backed by positive reviews, the hotel exceeded expectations. The modern and clean ambiance, convenient service, and optional flexible check-in and check-out policies appealed to my preferences. The spacious rooms, well-stocked bathroom essentials, plush robes, and excellent modern gym contributed to a comfortable stay. The gym and pool not only provided excellent facilities but also allowed me to rejuvenate after a previous long-haul flight. Despite being in close proximity to the airport, the hotel maintained a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The exceptional Azerbaijani hospitality made me feel like an awaited guest, and the hotel's value for money was evident. While the slightly outdated furniture and bath tub were minor considerations, they did not significantly impact the overall positive experience. I recommend Fly Inn Baku Hotel for travelers seeking a peaceful layover, offering excellent amenities such as a spa, quiet lobby areas, spacious rooms with excellent glazing to minimize runway noise, and reliable Wi-Fi for those looking to work during their stay.
GGuest UserI chose this hotel because of the location, as it was close to the embassy where I needed to go, and it served my purpose. The streets around are very quiet, so no traffic noise. The room was fine for the price, spacious, good bed, clean, windows can be opened to let in air. The only problem, as others mentioned in the reviews, is that shower cabin leaks onto the floor, so the floor in the bathroom gets very wet and slippery. I did not try wi-fi or breakfast at this hotel, so cannot comment on that. 100 manat deposit was required when checking in even though room had been paid online. Maybe it's common pratice in AZ, I don't know.
GGuest UserWe have spent 6 nights at the hotel simply excellent: The most welcoming, sweet, friendliest and helpful staff. Everything is close by :groceries, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants... 20 mins walk to the city center. The rooms are clean, beds are super comfy, pillows as well, yummy breakfast, the omelettes were divine, reminded me of my grandma. The staff arranged for a birthday cake for me as a surprise, what a treat!! the cake was delicious, Thank you Ahmed and the team. We booked a tour to Gabbal and Sheki a must, via the hotel with Ali, a comfy ride, a patient guide, drove us to amazing places, thanks again Ahmed for going that extra mile. Definitely will come again and again, will recommend to my friends and family.
Fantastic service, excellent view and good decoration.. This is my third time on this hotel because of my business life... They are always serving same quality!!!! Especially bed and pillows are best (better than my home) :) Location is good and you can access to city center easly. I really enjoy and feeling good in this hotel.. I definitely would reccomend this hotel to stay in Baku!!
Here's the revised version with the additional detail: --- This was the worst hotel experience in my 44 years of life. I have traveled to more than 15 major countries around the world but have never encountered a hotel like this. We stayed there for 4 days and had the worst experience. From the very first day, we had issues, but we didn't have any option because we had already paid for the four days in advance. When we entered the room on the first day, we saw that the toilet was used and not flushed. I called the staff and informed them about the situation. They cleaned the washroom but didn’t apologize. The next day, we switched on the clean mode button, but nothing improved. They reused the same sheets, simply folding the blanket from the previous day, and didn’t replace basic amenities like toilet paper and soap. On the third day, we specifically requested that they change the sheets before we left. On the last day, as I was about to leave for the airport, I noticed my clothes were missing from the cupboard, which I was supposed to wear before leaving. I reported the incident to the management. Instead of questioning their staff or checking their records and CCTV footage, they harassed us by repeatedly checking our belongings and questioning us. They searched our belongings twice. I even provided proof of the clothes by showing them pictures from the day we arrived at the hotel. They said that the staff who cleaned our room was ”on break” and did not act like they cared. The overall experience was very bad, with no apology for such a significant issue. Additionally, the carpet was dirty, the sheets were poorly maintained, and the pillows were hard, small, and uncomfortable. We were delayed for our flight due to their incompetence and the drama of calling the staff, who were off on the day of our departure and had supposedly cleaned our room. The issues we encountered—unflushed toilets, unchanged sheets, missing amenities, missing clothes, and the lack of care from the staff—are unacceptable for any hotel. The repeated and intrusive searches of your belongings without addressing the actual problem are particularly egregious.
GGuest UserThe hotel was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows the perfect thickness (I can't stand the over stuffed pillows that make your head lay at a 90 degree angle). The included breakfast had a LOT of options, including gluten free for my mom. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars in that there was mildew in the bathroom and my parents room wasn't cleaned when we arrived at 11pm. They got an upgrade to a suite...but then they only had one towel in the bathroom. Just little stuff.
GGuest UserI took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, but the taxi driver made a mistake and took us to another Wyndham Hotel in a different area. No wonder the front desk couldn’t find our check-in information... Later, we contacted the Wyndham Hotel for our order, and we took a taxi again It was already very late when we checked in. The front desk helped us upgrade to a king-size bed room for free, and stayed for 2 nights later. The hotel is generally good, but if you don’t drive by yourself, you need to take a taxi to get in and out.
LLundunfanglaThe environment is good and the transportation is convenient. There are shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel rooms are very large and cost-effective. The front desk staff are warm and considerate, highly recommended.
SSanaullahAn extremely well behaved staff and the location was amazing it was very boughet friendly I would like to recommend everyone this hotel thank you.
AArtyom PetukhovWhen I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.
