From the picturesque landscape to the Arenal volcano as a backdrop, Hotel Lomas del Volcán is worth five stars. Our room was in it's own bungalow, clean, comfortable and cozy. We had a large, spacious bathroom and balconies to the front and back of the bungalow. The grounds were impeccably manicured and the lush greenery and flowers just brought the paradise vibe. It was tranquil and just made me feel so much in harmony with nature. The front desk staff, tour scheduler, restaurant staff, porters were all friendly, polite and helpful and readily available. They always asked if you spoke Spanish and most could easily switch to English if necessary. The food was amazing! There was a wide variety of foods for breakfast and the wait staff there were smiling and bubbly. This is a dream location and our experience was top of the line. It was one of the best places, I've ever stayed at. Certainly value for money!
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of a trip with GAdventures booked through trail finders in the UK. We were checked in to what I think must have been the worst room in the hotel. It was at the back and over looked a side alley. We quickly showered and went to meet our group for dinner. When we got back, we noticed this god- damn awful smell which was coming from the drains and the water hadn't drained from our shower a few hrs earlier. Drains are notoriously bad across CR. We went to reception and the guy couldn't have cared less. We insisted he come and smell for himself. Well, he just couldn't have been more patronising or belittling. He said he couldn't smell it, he accused us of 'just showering' when we showed him the water and refused to do anything ie is clear the smell or move us. He said quite clearly numerous times, the hotel was full. We were left with no choice than to contact our Rep. Strangley enough we were given a different and much better room immediately. When we left, a lady came to our bus, thanked us for our custom and said they are a family run hotel. Clearly explained why the chap on reception couldn't give a hoot - he was hardly going to be sacked! Young ish guy, curly hair tied back in a pony tail. Poor Ester who came to say goodbye has no idea. He best things about this hotel are the friendly staff in the bar below, the view of the volcano from the terrace, and its only a shirt walk from the best place to eat in town- the rainforest cafe opposite (and Andreas is the best server!) but apart from that, I'd avoid it at all costs
Hotel with a pleasant location, a rustic room, would expect more in relation to the cost of the hotel.Weak restaurant, breakfast too.For those who like healthy eating, few options. The breakfast is served at the table, but with few boys to meet demand, service is bad and delayed.

We had a fantastic 9 night stay at Nayara tented camp. The suite itself is STUNNING and great value with stellar views of the Arenal mountain and thermal pool in your very own private pool! Can't get better than this. Food at the restaurants is delicious! Chicken curry and rice from room service was our favorite! Breakfast is great, they spoil you with the selection of fruits and juices etc. Asian restaurant service, comfy vibe and food was very good. Spa services were ExCELLENT and well priced. Highly recommend Yaduri and Pamela for the thai massage as well as the Nayara Package for 2. The Spa Manager, I believe her name is Arlene, was very sweet and hospital, and caring. A few shoutouts: Jairo the Manager - phenomenal customer service. Thank you. You had a HUGE hand in transforming our stay when we brought a few matters to your attention the first day. Your entire team helped with this, so thank you all. All the shuttle staff were excellent - I dont know all their names. Reception - Carlos and Michael were the ones who came down to chat with us most, so didnt have a chance to meet the others. Michael sent me a guava plate with salt and spices when we told him that it was our fave. Bartender at the hot springs (roberto or rodrigo, cant recall his name) was outstanding in his service. Had great conversations with Roberto the golf cart driver as well as John Carlo I believe was his name? All cart drivers exhibit such immense gratitude for their jobs and joy to be working here - it was very evident they are all very happy with management. Hospitality here is beyond measure. The staff genuinely care about you and your stay. Suggestion to owners to include a gentle door bell as the 3 knocks + screaming out your name outside your door is *extremely* chaotic for those who are in a bubble of peace inside the villa :) Another suggestion is for cart drivers to use that doorbell (outside villa) and wait for us there. They have been trained to come knock, shout your name, and then WAIT OUTSIDE your door until you come out and then follow you to the cart. That's a bit too much in our space, its better if they can wait outside for 2-3 minutes until we get to the cart. Also, to have more privacy in villas by filling up the GAPS with planters. We can easily see parts of the pool of other villas, and they can see into ours so we would love some privacy next time. WILL BE BACK. CANT WAIT TO BE BACK. THANK YOU ALL.
The Royal Corin was one of the best resorts we have stayed at. From the start, they were very communicative via email to confirm the reservation and make arrangements. Within a day of arrival, everyone knew our names and treated us like family. We made mention of celebrating a birthday, and the staff went over the top with making the week special. The resort was beautiful, hot springs were relaxing, and it was a very intimate feel. The breakfast was exceptional. The spa services were excellent, and location wise, everything in town was very close. We took advantage of the tours and private transportation, and it was effortless. We would recommend to everyone!
We spent 3 nights at this resort, which began our Costa Rica adventure. Upon arrival, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite! The room was large with refrigerator, balcony, sitting area, and a large bathroom (separate bathtub & shower). The hot springs were a welcome relaxation after days of hiking. The resort was an easy drive into La Fortuna. The staff was great - a wonderful beginning to our vacation!

Stayed in room 404. Originally booked 4 nights 12/20 to 12/24 at the last minute through *******. Had a problem with the reservation and both the hotel and ******* reached out to fix the problem. ******* was rude and difficult to deal with so cancelled ******* and worked with Tanya the hotel reservation manager to rebook for three nights through the hotel. Arrived at the hotel and everything was great. Got a room upgrade to a larger 2 bedroom villa with two bathrooms, a small kitchen area and a private pool in the front. Gorgeous room and rainforest like grounds. Breakfast buffet was hot and exceptional with fresh food, fruit and service with views of Arenal. Really nice swim up bar with food service and room service. Excellent quality food for dinner. Restaurant service was very good, bar service was also very good with lots of cocktails and a swim up bar and food service. Beautiful grounds. Every room is a private villa. I’ve stayed at Tabocan, Baldi and other much pricier resorts during my many other different stays in La Fortuna and this one is far and away the best value. Looking forward to going back.
The views are absolutely stunning and the hot springs marvellous but the facilities need an upgrade. Here are my suggestions: Improve ventilation in the bedrooms: - There is mildew/fungus growing on the walls in the bathroom - proof there is no ventilation, - Get rid of the hot tub/jacuzzi in the bedrooms - I doubt people use it given the hot springs in the park, yet they're an additional source of humidity and take up a lot of space. - Air the rooms so that they don't smell and feel like a cave. To facilitate this, install rigid nets on the glass window frames, to allow the outside air in and keep the bugs and insects out. I've seen this in plenty of other hotels. Improve the lighting in the bedrooms - the rooms are very dimly lit. Offer more reliable service - I requested a 6am wake-up call but reception called me at 6.23 am. The food is expensive for what it is. do not offer items that should not be served in an mountain area, for example the Caribbean seafood soup, which consisted of frozen seafood and was overpriced.
We stopped by on our way back from the Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges, and had lunch. The food was really good and not expensive, the staff were so friendly, and the ambience is great. We even saw wild life :) Would definitely recommend to stop by the cafe.

SSabsKebabsHad the best stay here after a very disappointing stay at another property. Luis the property manager was so welcoming and attentive. The property itself is brand new, and tastefully done. Loved the hot tub, loved the towel and linen collection and really appreciated the rain shower.
It was a pleasant stay and highly recommended. We enjoyed coming back to the loft after a day of exploring.
My husband and I stayed at Noah’s Forest in October and it was the most AMAZING experience! The location is easy to find, the whole facility of Noah’s Forest was perfection! The best part was the service we received from each one of your staff members. They are the so wonderful! We really bonded with Adrian, you are so lucky to have him!! He made our experience so much better than we even expected. We will be back again and hopefully often. Thank you so much for this incredible experience, we never wanted to leave.
From the time that we arrived, we were impressed. The coffee is strong and flavorful. We arrived to a welcome basket on our bed and in our fridge for our anniversary celebration! The view of Arenal was amazing— from our bed! (suite 215) The included breakfast is phenomenal— so much to choose from. My fave is the made-to-order omelet station! We did not have Lunch on property because we were out exploring Arenal/La Fortuna region. We did have pizza at the poolside wood-fired pizza oven bar. They made a custom pizza with chicken, basil, olive oil, and tomatoes. That was the bomb! 💣 Service is spot on. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition— Gardening is exceptionally beautiful everywhere you look! October is the perfect time in my opinion to visit if you want low crowds – – we had the thermal pools (7-8 pools) mostly to ourselves. We visited eight properties while in Costa Rica and this one was our absolute favorite! Hands down— pun may be intended. 😉
AAifengxiangdeqiqiA cost-effective hotel. The resort is very big. It’s best to have a car. If you don’t have a car, you can call a shuttle. The breakfast is very good. There are 8 hot spring pools inside. The volcano viewing spot is even more beautiful than the national park. I really recommend it.
Bbibo duI have to say that the price of the ordinary room is super high. He is located on the edge of the volcano and the volcanic lake. The staff at the front desk are very warm and patient. The view of the infinity pool is also invincible nearby. 11. When we lived on the 16th, I loved his balcony and sat on the bench to enjoy a few days of isolation, but I suggested that friends with a relatively high living environment choose the hotel's exquisite suites. The bathroom in the ordinary room is a bit cramped and there is no refrigerator and hair dryer. Breakfast is fixed type 1, there are not many choices, fruit has a small piece of pineapple, a small piece of watermelon and papaya is very small, we asked for one more fruit on the first day but charged 2 knives the next day. Because the restaurant under the mountain is about one kilometer away, we still used dinner in the restaurant and the taste was good.
JJuanK RuzIt's a busget Hostel, so you should not expect that much, it is clean but very old.
Staff is cool but wasn't that helpful in some request, probably not their fault, but owners can put some extra effort to make this place better.
It is clean and cozy.
GGuest UserAmazing amazing amazing! I want to go back already! Hot springs were amazing, I love the option of having at least one of the hot springs open 24/7, they change it each night for cleaning purposes, they’re very strict on the towels, each one is literally accounted for otherwise there is a fee per towel, no big deal as long as you keep track, didn’t really need to carry a towel around anyway, the only downside I’d have to say was the Italian restaurant was much better then the buffet option, also the slides are pretty intense, I actually hurt my foot on one of them, but it didn’t stop the fun. Wish I were back there!
GGuest UserWhilst this is technically a hostel, it is far better than some hotels we stayed in! Rooms are great (good air con, hot water, good storage); facilities superb (pool, business lounge, kitchen/food prep area, pool table, great bar); well organised trips (the zip line followed by hot springs is a must!); very helpful staff; and the food delicious (tuna steak with salad delightful)
I’ll caveat my title by saying I had to request a room move to achieve this as our original (superior) room was side facing overlooking a small copse of trees! So a big thanks to the main man behind reception (apologies, I’ve forgotten your name) for accommodating a room change for the remaining 3 nights of our 4 night trip, overlooking the pool & directly facing the magical volcano. The hotel itself is a little tired in places but it offers a nice pool (with a wet bar) to relax in after all those day hikes & the selection of food at the inclusive breakfast buffet is pretty good on the whole, with an omelette chef on hand. There’s also a rooftop sports bar on site for anyone up for a late night beer (be warned, we found d La Fortuna to close down early of a night & were even refused entry in a bar/restaurant as early as 21.30 !!). What we did like about this hotel is that it’s a little out of the town centre but all the attractions seemed to be on that side of town ie. The Volcano Park, Mistico Hanging Bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall & Eco-Termales Hot Springs (see my other reviews) which meant shorter transfers. Also Uber is available & super cheap in Colones currency so don’t fall for the expensive taxis in USD.
