I chose this place because its halfway between Wyoming (where I was coming from) and New Mexico (my destination), while at the same time conveniently close to the North Rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison (which was amazing!). I've been through McClure Pass a few times before, so I had a good idea of where Crawford was, so it wasn't hard to find. What a little gem! The owners/managers were super-nice and friendly. I felt very welcomed. The rooms are simple but very comfortable (including the bed) and all the amenities that I could ever want were included. I suppose a piece of art on the wall would've been nice to look at, but certainly not necessary.

No-frills, budget-friendly hotel about located about halfway between the north and south rims of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Everything was as you’d expect given the price of the room and the locations, so no real complaints or complements for that matter. Just a respectable place to sleep for the night
