Im very late in posting this, but my wife and I had a lovely stay here for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon trip. The staff were all so lovely and made us feel right at home immediately. An extra special thank you to Kasun who went above and beyond in sorting us out around the pool and escorting us for out swims in the sea! Our only slight issue was that we went out for dinner one night and got back to find the front door was locked with no bell to contact anyone inside. We had not been made aware that this would happen or what to do, so we were stuck outside for a while trying to call someone to open the door! Otherwise it was a great stay and would defintely visit again.
Ahu Bay

Ahu Bay resort is practically brand new and perfect. The rooms are modern, and sparkling clean! The setting is spectacular resting right on the beach. The sound of the waves add a totally relaxing atmosphere. Every one of the staff are kind, thoughtful and attentive. The food is superb and the talented chief is also happy to make anything special you might like to request. The beautiful infinity pool beckons, or walk down a flight of stairs to the white sand beach and the waves below. Lounge chairs are available on the beach. For additional relaxing comfort a complete Spa experience is available! Another 10 out of 10 experience!
Tabula Rasa Resort & Spa

I have just been on a relaxing 2 night break with my wife to Tabula Rasa. The hotel was everything I had hoped for and my only disappointment was that we could only spend 2 nights on the edge of the amazing Sri Lankan jungle. For my wife and I the highlights had to be the wildlife that could be seen and heard from the privacy of our balcony or the feeling that as we walked from our chalet to the restaurant/bar area we were walking through the jungle! The welcome from all the staff was friendly and helpful; I always feel a bit guilty mentioning individual team members but Akeela who ran proceedings in the restaurant and Dilshan who was ever present as front of house were both excellent ambassadors for the hotel. Chef Amith served excellent food and I was delighted at the range of vegetarian offerings for my wife. The F&B prices were reasonable and the views from the lounge and restaurant were beautiful. We were upgraded to a Plunge Pool Suite which was a private villa with a balcony overlooking the jungle and a plunge pool on the decking where we could relax and watch the beautiful sunset. The room was well appointed and immaculately clean. I booked via the Hilton Honors App but I have a feeling that booking direct with the hotel could provide future guests with a better package. Mr Dilin who is the Resort Manager was very helpful during the booking process and I found Whats App a good method of communication. Overall, we had a lovely stay and will definitely be back, hopefully for longer next time! Last but not least, Max the dog deserves a special mention; she was found as a puppy and offered a caring home at the resort.

My favorite hotel in Sri Lanka, super sea view room, the view is super beautiful! It's very pleasant to walk on the beach in the morning and evening. The swimming pool is also great. There are many chipmunks on the lawn, and the children are so happy. Half board The breakfast and dinner buffets are also very good, and you can see that they are carefully prepared. The staff are very nice, and the elephants folded with towels are so cute 😍

We had a lovely stay at the hotel for a couple of days after a wedding. It was a really relaxing time especially as the pool and hotel in general were really quiet. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and always on hand to help. In terms of the location the hotel is really close to Unawantuna with a lot of shops and restaurants within walking/tuk tuk distance.

Loved the hotel very relaxing. Beautiful views of the ocean and rooms immaculate. The food was good maybe more variety a bit repetitive. We changed our room for a walk in shower as I don’t like showers over baths in this day and age walk in showers should be in all rooms, just a suggestion. The rooms kept lovely and clean and the staff kept us amused with towel creations everyday well done. Big shout out to Nalaka the barman that made the best raspberry mojitos and kept supplying my husband with a clean ash tray which were hard to find! He looked after us so well an asset to the hotel. All staff were so friendly and amazing. Loved the book borrowing system on the second floor. The cushions on the loungers could be cleaned more often or a different cushion possibly they were a big grubby that is my only negative really. Would recommend the hotel the sound of the waves is so therapeutic I can hear them now. I am not a beach person but the water was so warm and the beach so lovely I went in at least twice a day over and above the lovely pool.
