I chose the 0517 hotel after reading great reviews, and they were not wrong! Starting with the simple things, the location is so convenient being in the part of town nearest the park’s south entrance. You can walk there in ~15 minutes, passing several options for a street food breakfast along the way. There is also a good selection of restaurants for dinner, and a very nice bakery to pick up snacks for the day. The long distance buses arrive at a bus station a few km away, but the hotel will arrange the pickup for you, free of charge. The hotel’s design in the rooms and shared spaces is very modern & clean, in a style appreciated by westerners. The rooms are on the small side, but have everything you need. Leaving the best point until last – the highlight here is the customer service provided by the owner Timo and his staff. 11/10! Nothing is too much trouble, they will help you with everything from trip planning, to organizing local shared taxi to surrounding areas, to storing luggage, or whatever. On both the nights there, I had a long, friendly chat with him and a couple of others over a drink in the evening. Felt more like being his personal guest than being in a hotel. HIGHLY recommended!

We would absolutely recommend staying here if you are coming to visit Huangshan. We loved the service! As foreigners we were really grateful to get help in planning our stay and the different trips we had planned. The guys spoke great english and even drove us once to one of the sightseeing spots because there was no didi available at that time. Our room was super cozy and the lobby’s atmosphere invites you to stay a little bit and drink some coffee while reading a book. They also have a lovely house cat that sleeps in the lobby all day. We stayed two nights and felt really welcomed so all in all a really good experience.

We’ve had an amazing time at the 0517 Hotel! The hosts are super nice and help you in any way possible. The rooms are spacious, clean and pretty. There is good coffee and a lovely cat too. Best hotel so far in China!

We had a wonderful stay at 0517 Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly nice and friendly, making us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was exactly what we expected—clean, well-maintained. On our first day, the hotel arranged a pick-up from the transfer area, which was a thoughtful and convenient service. The staff helped us plan our first-day activities and mapping out our route for exploring Huangshan. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at 0517 Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The combination of excellent service, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations made our stay memorable.

We had a great stay at 0517 hotel!! The lobby and the room looked even better than on the pictures. Very cozy and stylish. Nice ambience. The shower was also great. But the best thing about our stay was the staff. They were extremely kind and helpful. They helped us plan our day trips and gave overall great service in the hotel! Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant, hope you receive many nice guests!

I’ve loved this place both times I’ve stayed here. The rooms are clean and pleasant and the communal area is lovely. Location is fantastic and everyone who works there is incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.

The Boys and Girls that run the hotel do a top job in helping for advices and assist in booking travel. They are honest operators and friendly. Highly recommend for location, amenities, services.

Loved 0517 Boutique Hotel, including the decor, bar, location close to Huangshan for hiking the mountain, in a lovely village... but mostly the staff for great hiking advice and good chats. I hope to come back for the winter scenery. Most recommended 👌

The hotel itself was in a great location, the rooms were new and clean. The breakfast was delicious and great value for money. But what we appreciated most were the great hosts, they explained the area very well and even helped us a lot when we realized we forgot something in the park!

The perfect place for an overnight trip! The room was clean and comfortable, with AC, TV, kettle, etc. — everything you might need! The staff readily provided us with a WeChat contact, offering to drive us to and from the Huangshan mountain trail entrance as well as happily providing recommendations for the local town. After being caught in the rain on the last day after we had already checked out, we were immediately accommodated to dry off in one of the rooms before our evening train. The hospitality and generosity was 10/10 and much appreciated! I have multiple friends who chose to stay at the 0517 Hotel while visiting Huangshan, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Nicely designed room. Was upgraded to one with balcony. Manager was very helpful and provide good information to make full use of my 2 days up in Huangshan.

Everything was fine, I am 100% happy. The staff speaks excellent english, is helpful and makes you feel like home. If you are a foreigner who doesn't speak chinese, this hotel is an excellent choice.

The hotel proprietor was proficient in English and took the time to advise us on the best routes to take on Huangshan Mountain. We appreciated being able to leave our larger luggage at the hotel, allowing us to travel lighter for our overnight mountain stay. The room was adequately sized for our brief visit, although the shower cabin was somewhat cramped. Upon returning to collect our luggage, the proprietor greeted us warmly and offered a refreshing drink before our departure.

wonderful stay: a super host (not pushy but very willing to help and speaks good english) very friendly staff (fantastic cat), beautiful rooms, a lovely relaxation area where you can get a good espresso/café latte and tasty snacks and the best breakfast, among other things. And all that in a very nice environment.
