GGuest UserFirst, the location was amazing. It was located right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We had an 18 hour layover in Hanoi and this allowed us to maximize our short time here. We got to experience the culture of Vietnam in an incredible way. Second, our host, Huong Nguyen, was the best. She helped coordinate a private car from the airport to the hotel and gave us a full itinerary of places to eat and visit to maximize our short stay. She was exceptional at her job and she became our very first friend in Vietnam. Huong, thank you for all that you did for us. I hope to see you again soon. Third, the spa here was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. Not only was it very affordable, but the experience was truly world class. If you stay at La Siesta, I highly recommend that you take advantage of La Spa, a high end spa experience that you won’t want to miss out on. We will definitely be visiting here again in our next trip to Vietnam :)

GGuest UserWe loved staying at this hotel. The staff were outstanding, very obliging and helpful. The king size bed and pillows very comfortable. Great shower and the air conditioning worked wonderfully well. Well situated in the old quarter and so easy to walk to the lake, restaurants, coffee shops and Beer Street. Great rooftop bar and the Red Bean restaurant on thr ground floor very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stayed here overall 8 nights in total.

DDr AnupamGreetings, here are some key features of the hotel, hope you find it useful: 1. Location: Situated in the Ba Dinh district, it’s close to several embassies, Thu Le Zoo, and West Lake. The area is somewhat removed from the main tourist areas, offering a noisy stay but still accessible by taxi or ”Grab.” 2. Rooms and Amenities: The hotel offers a range of rooms, including family suites and apartments with kitchenettes. Rooms are equipped with modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. The room I've stayed offers an exciting city view, which I would highly recommend. 3. Facilities: Guests can enjoy a Japanese-style bathhouse, a thermal-water swimming pool, a fitness center, and a spa offering beauty treatments and massages. The hotel also has a restaurant serving Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine. 4. Service: The staff is frequently praised for their helpfulness and proficiency in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese. The housekeeping service is noted for its thoroughness and attentiveness, although they were not able to understand basic English word and it becomes little difficult at times. 5. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet receives positive feedback for its variety and quality, including local dishes like pho. Pros: • Good value for money. • Excellent breakfast options. • Clean and well-maintained facilities. • Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: • Little far from major tourist attractions, but close to Lake and church. • The street outside can be busy and noisy, which might be a drawback for those sensitive to street noise. Overall, Super Hotel Candle is a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfortable accommodation with good facilities in a quieter part of Hanoi.

GGuest UserPros: The staff was extremely kind and accommodating and willing to help with any and everything if mentioned to them. It’s a fab location with Hoan Kiem lake well within walking distance, yet not right in the middle of the hectic old quarter so it’s possible to get a good night’s sleep (our room didn’t have a window, so unsure if this is true for rooms with window). Beds were changed every day and also clean towels daily however other amenities like toilet paper, shampoo, bodywash etc weren’t topped up during our stay. Cons: We arrived after the advertised check in time and our room wasn’t ready which wasn’t ideal after 17 hours of flights, however also understandable that sometimes other guests check out late. I think because of this they rushed to get the room ready which meant it wasn’t completely clean e.g hair on the floor, fingerprints on the mirrors/glass. Our TV didn’t work, the wifi was very slow during our stay, and the shower ran cold for the first 2 days which to be fair was fine considering how hot it was. Booking.com still states that breakfast is available here but nothing was mentioned to us about breakfast, and it’s worth noting that the photos used by the property definitely aren’t accurate. The property is nice, but not like the photos. Our room was windowless which I cant remember whether this was mentioned when booking. We didn’t complain as we 1) were very tired from the travelling, and 2) felt that it was a case of you get what you pay for (budget room/hotel). However I felt considering the high score the property has on booking.com and on here, it was important to leave a more accurate image of the property. Overall I would recommend for budget travellers, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for

AAnonymous UserBe careful when asking the staff to arrange an airport taxi! 300,000 VND wasted. I used the Grab app during my trip to Vietnam, and I was thinking of using the app to arrange a taxi to the airport when I returned home, but the staff said I would arrange it and wouldn't listen (half forcibly). So, well, it's a hotel, so I thought I wouldn't be ripped off, so I made a request. When I entered Vietnam, it was about 400,000 VND from the airport to the hotel by Grab, but the staff agreed to arrange for 300,000 VND, and I paid the fee the day before check-out. I wanted to keep proof of payment, so I asked for a receipt and was given it. (In the end, it didn't help at all.) I checked out the next morning, but the staff who paid the taxi fare the day before was asleep and was absent, so I was dealt with by another part-timer who was sleeping on the sofa in the lobby. I'm sleepy, but I'm quite suitable (I didn't even ask if I don't return the room key from here), and at the taxi meeting place that I had reserved the day before, I was told something I didn't understand in Vietnamese, and I gave instructions with my fingertips. I was in a situation where I didn't know which one to take while the taxis were stopped. When I tried to check with the young man again, he was nowhere to be found. . . In the end, I ended up taking a different taxi and ended up paying 400,000 VMD to the driver separately. I don't expect Japanese level response, but I have to say that the taxi response this time is too appropriate. I sent an email about this, but never got a reply. Hotel facilities and cleanliness are reasonable for the price. (There are some stains on the sheets and a little black mold in the bathtub, but I think it's not a problem if you're not a fastidious person.) The location is good for walking around the old town. This kind of thing happened just before returning to Japan, and it feels like something.

GGuest UserHotel location is excellent if u are a partier, beer street is just a stone away. Room cleanliness is still acceptable but dining area is not. Maybe staff at dining area is not enough. Staffs are friendly and helpful however during the check out process, we were asked to wait for more than 30 minutes as they are checking the room which was absolutely not acceptable. Ps: we went to ask how long it going take.

GGuest UserRatings are always based on personal standards and judging criteria. For this, I am coming from the angle of a cheap airport hotel. This is the best airport hotel around Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, and at a decent price. Do not expect intercontinental buffet breakfast, business lounges and the likes. The room is pretty new, clean, functional, and large. Despite being close to the airport, you can barely hear anything from landing aircraft. Breakfast is simple at best, and staff seem to be still in 'training', with only Brian being the 'boss'. Rooftop pool doesn't look well maintained, and the entertainment room has been abandoned totally altogether, with the foosball and billiard table left to collect dust while it has become a storage and parking area. But hey, its an airport hotel. Purpose is to have people sleep for 1 night before leaving prompto. It is situated in a pretty rural area so don't expect any established eateries or convenience stores nearby. Think roadside hawkers and home-run provision shops. In conclusion, best airport hotel near Hanoi Noi Bai Airport.

AAlan BornHANOI The location of this apartment is the biggest advantage. It is a 5-minute walk from the 86 bus stop (from/to the airport). Also, it takes 5-10 min strolling to reach the Old Quarter and Dong Xuan market. Plus, 20-25 min walking will bring you to the Ho Chi Ming mausoleum. Everything far would require a taxi or a scooter via the ‘Grab’ app. Generally, this apt has a solid ‘3’ out of ‘5’. Everything you needed was there: a full-size kitchen, a microwave, a two-section fridge, a washing machine, a fan, an AC, a TV, a kettle, a cooking stove, all utensils and plates. The bathroom, a sink and a loo are clean, a hairdryer works well. You could even have a full foamy real bath (I was too lazy to extra clean the bath, that’s just me. Extra precautions). The bed is fine, and the bed sheets were clean. Nothing to complain about. Now, why it is ‘3’ (or maybe ‘3.5’). For this money per night, in other places, you’ll get a 20-24 sq.m. room. While this apt generously will host you with 60 sq.m. (I have to confess, it was the main reason I chose this place among the locations). This place feels really like a proper apartment. Pay attention, this is not a ‘Hotel’ but a ‘Home-stay’ or an ‘Apartment’. There is no Reception desk. Nobody will meet, greet, and assist you. You will be on your own with any questions you may have upon arrival. Moreover, the entrance to this apartment goes through… the sushi restaurant. Yep. Right through the tables with people eating. Plus, the instruction sent prior to my arrival with all digital codes to open the doors to get in/out looked more like a maze or a puzzle. Good news, from 10 am till 10 pm the front restaurant door is open and you won’t need to worry (at least) about one of the ‘getting-in game’ challenges. Al-in-all, with all instructions provided by Trip.com and the owner, I managed to check in smoothly, had a nice Hanoi vacation and didn’t mind some hiccups with local neighbours downstairs getting up early and starting cooking their breakfast))) Good luck with your trip!

GGuest UserThe slippers that were provided for walking around the room was too loud, where it is difficult to be quiet when walking around in them. The husband is also uptight in not letting people eat in the dining area but outside which I can understand and could go along with, because they don't want the guest to leave garbage or get their table dirty, but they need to at least leave a garbage can outside so the guest don't have to leave it on the ground. I didn't like how I couldn't find a place to throw my ice cream wrapper away when I ate it outside and had to end up throwing it in the garbage of another person's place. I also didn't like the location of how it was out of the city center where it wasn't near any grocery stores or open fruit and vegetable, and meat markets. Just by a bunch of restaurants some being a bunch of aggressive jerks sitting outside waiting for bystanders to walk by where they try to aggressively approach you to get you to eat at their restaurant. I need a place where I can use a kitchen to cook food for myself. I don't need to eat out every day. These owners are a bit shady at times in that when I did came in early where it was not time for me to check in where I was willing to wait until my room is ready, their son had the nerve to try to make a few bucks off me in that if I pay them a few bucks, I can have my room before the check in time which was a bit tacky. The husband didn't give me very good advice when he told me that staying at this place is good for going into the city center and coming back, which it isn't for me, because I have to take the bus 1 hour and 45 minutes to the city center which is a longways. What lousy advice for my situation like he was trying to convince me to stay longer just so that they can make more money off of me. This was a little tacky too. Good for them, but not good for me. I also didn't like how they send my clothing to a cleaner when I thought they were going to wash it in their washer and hang it up on their clothesline on their top floor. Not only that, but the cleaners lost my dress pants in the process or probably even stoled it and kept it for themselves and not really telling me the truth. I told them about this and they said that the cleaners who they sent it to didn't know what happen to it. The owners were even trying to try to lie a little bit by saying that I never gave them a dress pants for them to wash which is a bunch of ********. They could have just let me use their washer where I could have used my own detergent to wash my clothing and hang it up to dry on their clothesline on the rooftop of their place where I would have paid them for it. For all I know these cleaners that they sent my clothing to for them to wash could be their friend and they are trying to help give their friends the business for any of their guests that has laundry for them to use. These cleaners are probably a bunch of thieves for all I know that probably looked through guests clothing for things that are valuable which they take and pretend that they don't know anything about it when the guests inquire of it. This is another shady tactical thing that they are probably doing as well. I even asked them if they could compensate me which would not have amounted to much which they had refused. They didn't even have the nerve to apologize to me but to only lie to me by telling me ******** that the cleaners who they sent guests clothing to never lose any of their clothing which is a bunch of ********. All of this could have been avoided had they either let me use their washer or they wash it for me in their washer where I would have paid them. Do not trust these people with your clothing!!!!

GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store. Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it. The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders. I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
