GGuest UserExceptional Stay at ULIV Mexico City
My stay at ULIV Mexico City was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly, approachable, and always eager to help with any request or question.
The accommodations were modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, offering everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location was also ideal, with easy access to some of Mexico City's best attractions, dining spots, and cultural landmarks.
What truly stood out, though, was the level of personalized care provided by the team. Whether it was assisting with recommendations, ensuring everything in the room was perfect, or just greeting me with a warm smile, their hospitality made all the difference.
I can't recommend ULIV Mexico City enough. It's clear they prioritize their guests' experiences, and I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!
GGuest UserThe location is awesome. The hotel is more than basic, the pictures are a bit deceiving. There wasn't even space for us to put our clothes, no wardrobe nothing. Four days and our clothes had to stay in our bags or around the room.
It also didn't have a good mirror, only one in the bathroom which is not convenient.
The hotel is on a 4th or 3rd floor, I honestly can't remember but it was a lot of stairs, and it's inside a building that resembled a small shopping center.
It's walking distance to a lot of attractions, very good location.
The breakfast was good, freshly prepared for each individual. There's a very nice rooftop, don't miss it.
The hotel is not quiet at all, but I guess it's because of the location, it's hard to get a good night sleep if you're easily awakened :)
Upon arrival the man on the checking desk asked me to fill yet another form that had weird questions like if I liked dogs or cats and he said that I had to take a selfie! He said this was for verification reasons and that ”booking” asks him to do so, I told him I already verified my reservation and that I booked via Trip.com, he insisted at first and then when I was firm he said that it's ok and that there was no need.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very nice location, a couple of blocks from Avenida Paseo de la Reforma. The room was very clean and there was a walk-in shower in the bathroom. A nice ce upgrade would be to have USB ports by the nightstand.
My issue is with Trip.com. I paid in advance for 3 rooms- one for me and one each for two friends. When I booked the rooms, I listed each of us separately on the online form. I received my confirmation by email and assumed that so did my friends. When we arrived at the hotel, I checked in without issue but when my friends tried to, they were told that no reservation existed for them. This is despite the fact that I had paid by credit card for all three rooms on one transaction. A call to Trips.com did nothing to fix the situation. The reservation number I gave them only had my room listed.
My only option now is to dispute the charge once my credit card statement arrives.
GGuest UserWhile this hotel was aesthetically pleasing and in a good location for relatively easy access to many tourist spots, the amenities, service, and operation was absolutely horrible! The language barrier was also very challenging and one would think for this to be such a hot spot that they would have staff fluent in English for tourists. I was told that the hotel had english-speaking concierge that would be able to guide me with questions on transportation, etc. and that was not the case. Day 1: - Language barrier made check-in unnecessarily challenging - Language barrier made the ability to assist us with our desired tours impossible, thankfully we had a backup plan and had gathered information for ourselves - Bikes as advertised were not available AT ALL, at no time during our stay and per guests that had arrived a week prior the bikes had not been available (out for repairs & unavailable the entire stay)...this was the method of transportation we had planned on using AND had supposedly reserved for the afternoon of our arrival, thus causing us to have to change plans - My 1st evening in the room the air conditioning was not working and my room was SCORCHING! I was calling every 1 - 1.5 hrs asking for assistance, and even though they are able to control it remotely they could not get it working....I was only able to rest approx. 3 hrs and woke up congested and with a migraine. The young woman at the front desk did everything that she could to communicate the issue and actually did apologize that I was ill, however was not successful in her attempts to reach 'The Manager' as she said that 'the manager' would not return calls made in attempt to speak with me - this ultimately made me late for our tour/lunch reservation due to attempts to handle the situation. Upon return for the afternoon I was told that the A/C was fixed. Upon arriving in the room I found it to be freezing cold and attempted to turn the unit off, the front desk staff KEPT turning it back on, even after attempts to help them understand that the temperature was still not being controlled within the room, thus I was probably able to get 4-5 hrs of sleep and my cold/congestion got worse.....and they said there was no room available to move me to All that said, I have my complaint into the booking agency and hotel corp office, but am writing this review to warn anyone contemplating their stay at City Centro Ciudad de Mexico
DDoug WThis is a modern designed hotel where the decor is in good condition and common areas and rooms are clean. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows and there is a large walk in shower, which I like. There is even a small fridge in the room which is whisper quiet. As the Hilton Garden is connected to a Doubletree (the share the same driveway) the hotel is full service, including room service, which was prompt and the food hot and wine from the Doubletree’s collection. There are numerous restaurant options just down the hill. Of course, you will then need to walk back up the hill at altitude! There is a large and pleasant breakfast area on the lower level and snacks can be purchased in the lobby. The only negative during my stay was a TV which was virtually unwatchable. After about ten minutes that picture became pixilated and the sound intermittent. It did not appear to be the feed, but my particular monitor. The front desk said they did send a technician to repair it, but I never saw any improvement. So, I could only watch by turning it off, waiting a few minutes and turning back on. That would buy me another few minutes of viewing time. Anyway, although the guide said there was CNN in English, there was not. Only Fox (which I could not watch for more than a minute anyway 😊) or the BBC, which repeats itself hourly it seems. Aside from the TV, which I suspect is a one off, I will return.
4469julianpThe hotel is a very good hotel for you, and it is a good hotel for you. Near the sun forum and the sports palace for if necessary stay **** to rest.
GGuest UserFirst things first: this hotel has an excellent location, especially for business travelers. Also, they have a pretty fantastic breakfast served at the restaurant next door. However, that’s pretty much where it ends. The rooms are old and dilapidated, the bathroom tiles were moldy, and the air conditioner had not been cleaned in a long time. In addition, there is no safe in the room, so you have to be careful with your valuables. The staff are nice, but they won’t go the extra mile for guests so be prepared.
GGuest UserThe furious baggage; the terminal to pay with card without service. The closet in the room located very removed from the entrance. The second floor in total darkness. Lost electric contacts. The regular breakfast, hard bread. When paying food the shopper took 17 minutes to give me the change
TThomasBGThis is my second 1-night stay in this hotel in the last 7 days - both in order to get some sleep after long-haul flights before continuing for the next one. For this purpose the hotel is OK. Simple but clean and having everything one needs for 7-8 hours, including a very convenient check-out time of 1pm, which, to be honest, is something unique, especially in the last years when they are trying to move the check-out time first to 11, then to 10, and I’ve seen even 9am somewhere! So far, so good. The little problem I bumped into at check-out, was that this hotel is also unique with the fact that it doesn’t have either a luggage storage facility, not an organization to store guests’ luggage when they fly out later in the day. After I tried to insist (because I’m 100% sure even 2-star hotels have such places, and this is even rated as 4* in some places), they offered me to leave my bags near the reception, in a dark and completely unsecured place behind some counter. A place everybody could walk in and nobody will see. Go and prove you had a bag with things important to you, if on return you don’t find you stuff there. And having in mind this it not the best part of the city, I couldn’t take the risk, so I had to waste time to go to a special paid luggage storage company. I actually even offered Hotel Seoul money to put my bag in a safe location, but they refused. So the third time, if I have to fly late in the day, I’ll surely look for a hotel with a better service in this aspect, Which is a pity, because this one offers everything one needs for some rest during a long layover. For longer stays I wouldn’t recommend staying there, because the rooms are a bit dark and even a bit cold at night. But for a single night stay it’s great. Including the very good WiFi.
