Spa Hotels in Portimao

Clean and modern building. This apartment has a great lobby and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The units are also extremely clean and have a lot of closet space. The beach, restaurants and shopping center were all within a 10 minute walk from our apartment. I highly recommend it. Just remember you don’t have the view of the ocean, but as I said the water is just around the corner from the building.

We arrived around 3 p.m. and the person at the reception couldn't find our reservation made through Trip.com. With a lot of anger and insistence he told us that he couldn't do anything and that we had to contact Trip.com to solve the thing with them (after 9 hours of travel and all the possible confirmation emails). While I was waiting for Trip.com to respond to us, another person called us saying that everything was in order, that they couldn't find it due to a ”computer error.” Not an apology, nothing. The room was not bad, second floor, well located. Old hotel facility, the 5 stars are not deserved, honestly, it is a current 4 star, for the price paid it is fine. Good buffet breakfast, equally good and attentive service. We had a problem one day when they didn't make the room, we had to complain at 7:30 p.m. and they cleaned it and made it very quickly (and quite ”lightly”), but, well... We cannot comment on SPA, Gym etc since we have not tried those services.

Staff very friendly and always available. The rooms immaculate, comfy beds. Restaurant was excellent with a very good variety of food and not repeated in our 2 week holiday. Communal areas very bright and airy and plenty of space. Pool area was great. This was our second visit and we were a bit worried it may not be as good as before, however we would totally recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

We stayed a week at the end of August at Jardim du Vau. The hotel is perhaps a bit tired in appearance although our room was fine. The block we were in however had the air conditioning unit sited on the balcony, which meant that you could not sit outside if you wanted to keep the rooms cool. The receptionists were all helpful although a bit of customer training would not go amiss when stuck on a phone call. On a number of occasions the receptionist was on the phone whilst guests waited. An acknowledgement that you were waiting and would be attended to shortly would be a professional touch. The restaurant and bars were, I think, franchised out and it was a mixed bag. Some of the staff (Daniel particularly) were excellent but a couple, if they smiled during the week then we missed it! The outside bar didn't open until lunchtime, a bit strange and a lost opportunity, but it's food was good. The restaurant/ cocktail bar was a different issue. There was no air-conditioning so not a comfortable environment. It did not encourage you to stay and have a drink. One evening at 2215 we asked for a cocktail but was told it was too late, even though closing time was 2300 The restaurant's organisation left a lot to be desired. The two coffee machines, when working, were incredibly slow as was the toaster. The hot breakfast was served in bain-marie's but frequently it took an age to be replenished. One morning there was a 20min wait for a scrabbled egg refill. At least it gave the toast a chance to brown! One evening we decided to try the buffet. What a disaster - the lasagne and fish had gone, leaving only the remnants of a very nice stroganoff. Some replacement dishes did finally arrive, a deep fried fish of fish cake consistency and a chicken offering along similar lines. Not impressive and didn’t bother again. Overall the hotel is a curates egg, some good bits and some not so good!

This hotel is very recent. Beautiful, elegant and well-equipped in terms of services. What doesn't strike us as normal, however, is the lack of little touches for a hotel in this category. No shampoo, no q-tips, just the same gel for washing hands and in the shower. No shower cap. An empty fridge bar. We appreciate the coffee machine and the bottle of water, but one normal coffee capsule and 3 decaffeinated coffee capsules... not logical... We asked for a room with a bath when we booked (we were ”upgraded” without any request on our part, on a ”marina” view, but with a shower. As we are not very nice customers, we didn't say anything. The bedding is good. The pillows are quite thick, which can be uncomfortable for people with sensitive necks. 3 cushions are available, but they are all very dense. The road is very noisy, subject to a few car rodeos at night. I've heard that the rooftop is noisy in November, but fortunately this is not the case. The staff are friendly and respond to requests. The breakfast buffet is very comprehensive, but for the evening menu, this type of buffet seems less attractive, but will surely please some people. The spa is very good, at 12.5 euros for one hour (equipped swimming pool, sauna, hammam, etc.). There is a car park at the hotel for 6 euros a night, but free parking is available 200m from the hotel by the beach. All in all, then, this is a fine hotel with a lot of potential, but some details clearly need to be reviewed to make it really nice.

This hotel is an amazing retreat! Surprisingly you can't hear the noise from the racing track just nearby. The staff is very nice and attentive. The location is great if you want to be in a quiet part of the Algarve (30 minutes from Portimão). The breakfast is great. It has variety and the products are fresh and high quality. The hotel has an amazing outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately the it was too windy and we were not able to enjoy it. The Jacuzzi and the indoor swimming pool are great too! The room is as in the pictures, it is big and the decoration is modern. Overall, we recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy a quiet retreat in the Algarve!

Currently still here! Beautiful hotel, so spotlessly clean, modern rooms and great facilities. The Italian Restaurant is incredible - a huge shoutout to Carlos who made the evening even better with great service and recommendations. The food is stunning. A few things we feel would make it the 5* that it is - better food facilities (buffet) , more staff is an absolute must, to clear plates serve at the bar and keep things ticking over quickly and efficiently. More information needed at check in regarding restaurant bookings, the hotel and surrounding areas. The potential of this hotel is amazing just needs a little more effort. We are having a wonderful stay, the above is not a negative- just a few things that need adjusting to make this hotel a real 5*. Thank you again! Lauren & family
