Pechanga Resort Casino

AGGGHHH... this hurts to write. I've LOVED Pechanga. I come here at least twice a month in my RV. I love the RV lot, but the price has effectively trippled in 4 years. I've written numerous glowing reviews, but the slot have become so tight, and the RV lot so expensive, that I'm starting to feel the greed of the place. I'm looking for another home-away-from-home. Sadly. I don't know what demographic they're aiming for, but I don't feel it's mine anymore.

Pechanga was not the original hotel we booked for a wine tasting weekend in Temecula with our adult kids. We were redirected there when the first hotel turned out to be way too "rustic" for our tastes. What a pleasant surprise! The rooms in the resort tower are beautiful, new and spotless and the views are lovely. The staff at Pechanga are all so friendly and bend over backwards to make your stay memorable. Diana Ramirez and Ru at the front desk were beyond helpful in getting us upgraded rooms at the best possible price. Food at the resort is really good too. Valet parking is easy and efficient. The location is central to all you would want to do in the Temecula Valley.

We are attending a wedding at this resort where check in is 4:00. We asked for an earlier check in (2:00) so we can change our clothes before the wedding (which begins at 4:00 at the Pechanga Resort itself) because we have a five hour drive to get there. They told us we can’t get a guaranteed earlier check in. They suggested we get changed in the lobby bathroom before the wedding and they would keep our bags until the wedding is over and we can come back to check in. Are they kidding? For an event at their own property where the wedding is being held? I can’t believe their best offer was come see if you can get a room that day and, if so, it’s an extra $100 and no guarantee you’ll get a room, then change in the bathroom. I guess they didn’t get the memo that hotels are all about hospitality and their attitude was they couldn’t care less because they have “policies”.

Long lines to check in and then room not ready. After getting a text after 4pm then had to wait in another long line to get keys. Room was nice and clean. Beds and pillows not comfortable. No refrigerator to use. Just one that is stalked and charged if opened. Internet horrible connection. You put your info on to get and then next time you look at your phone it is disconnected and you have to put your info again. Frustrating and no perk for staying at the hotel. Pool is nice and the big pool is adults only. There is a kids pool with a slide. Music blasting started at 10am. No need to play so loud. Can’t just lay out and talk. No need to play so loud on a Monday & Tuesday. Tried the cafe and Mexican place and the staff Is excellent! Food was good. Also the coffee place is opened 24 hours. A latte will run you $9. If you want almond milk. Self parking I’d a very long walk. Overall staff was great.
