Wuzhen is often dubbed a ‘Venice of China’ It’s well worth a visit to its charming old residence. Nearby, visitors will find places for al fresco meals, with delicious dishes served as you sit on wooden benches with a view of the tower temple, willow trees, bridges, river and pagodas. The town perhaps only truly feels serene in the early mornings and evenings, when crowds are largely absent. Day-trippers will likely miss the best times, when ambling around the ancient town becomes a quieter, contemplative affair. I went to Wuzhen for two days, one night with four people and stayed in the homestay with scenic view for one night, four Xizhamen, boating, morning tea, mostly cost-effective. You need to make an appointment to have breakfast here. The breakfast was well presented. We ate, sat down and stayed for a long time.

Hotel is like a 10 minutes walk from Wuzhen scenic area (west part). Everything was fine, employees were very nice. They have a delivery robot which is convenient. It’s allowed to smoke in the room, so it had a bit of cigarette smell. Also toilet in the room has only a glass door, but it was not a major problem. In any case this seems to be the standard in Chinese hotels. Breakfast was okay, not many western options, but it was fine in general.

Because I stayed there more than once last year during the Spring Festival during the New Century, and the experience was quite good, I booked it in advance this year. Unfortunately, this time it was a bit disappointing. The room was small, and the refrigerator was broken and was left behind by the previous guest. Drinks and cleaning were a little sloppy. I went out in the morning and asked the front desk to take special care of me. When I came back in the evening, the old problem still existed. The cups were not washed and the tea bags were not added. I brought a big DQ birthday cake and handed it to the hotel to refrigerate and it was already there when I wanted to eat it. I am speechless😓

The suite is quite large, with relatively complete facilities, clean and hygienic. The rooms on both sides have window views. One of the rooms has a smaller bathroom, while the other is large and equipped with a bathtub. There are plenty of hangers in the room. If you stay for a few more days, there is enough clothes for two people. There is a capsule coffee machine in the room, and you have to bring your own cup capsules. The surrounding transportation is also convenient. Going downstairs to eat wontons is very delicious. I will stay here again next year, but the cups and coasters in the room need to be cleaned frequently. Everything else is very good.

Stay overnight at the Atour Hotel on the bank of the Xiaohe River. Combined with the night lights and ancient charm, it is like the ancients' description of the river flowing and people living there... The room is of a reasonable size. There is a tea table. Sitting there to drink tea, the scenery outside the window seems to have traveled through the ancient flourishing city. There are many handsome guys here, and the service is exquisite. Due to an emergency, the night shift guy ran up and down to help solve it. The speed of handling the problem is 👍. His bed and pillow are absolutely magical. Many days of sleepiness are solved in one night. There is also a rich breakfast. Before leaving, there is a big-eyed handsome guy who gave 🈶 souvenirs and two bottles of hot water. It is so heartwarming. Atour~ must be my next choice

The location is very good. It is between the East Gate and the West Gate of Wuzhen. I played the West Gate the night before and the East Gate the next morning. I finally visited the whole Wuzhen. The hotel is very cost-effective in Wuzhen and the front desk is small. My sister is also very enthusiastic. I highly recommend it, but I forgot to take a photo.
