The reception was very friendly and courteous. All employees are competent and especially the employees at breakfast are extremely friendly and in a good mood. The rooms are spacious and nicely renovated. The garage/s are very close and the price for 24 hours is absolutely fine. A small hotel with a personal touch.

If you want to truly experience Trieste in the right location and with style then this is the place. A small perfectly built Palace run by staff who care about their guests. There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

I was delighted with all aspects of this charming hotel. I had a lovely room with a spacious shower room. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from and the coffee.was excellent. The hotel is only about 5 minutes walk from the main square and is very near the castle and Roman theatre.

I made the mistake of staying at Hotel Italia because it was one of the few hotels in Trieste that still had rooms available at the last minute. That was the first warning sign. The second red flag was the less than gracious welcome that I received from the nighttime desk clerk and a badly-dressed ruffian who I was told was the hotel’s security but looked like he was just released from prison. The poor manners of the staff weren’t limited to them - the morning clerks were just as rude. The place looks, feels and smells more like a hostel than a 3-star hotel. The hotel entrance - it can’t even really be called a lobby - is shabby, dim and ill-maintained. My room was no better, with scuff marks on the walls, depressing faux-wood furniture and cheap curtains. The television screen had fingerprints on it and the toilet seat cover was covered in marks/engrained stains. The breakfast was a small selection of not-fresh, highly-processed low quality crap that makes you think “maybe I’m not hungry this morning after all.” Normally, for an experience this low caliber I would have expected to pay 60-80 euros at most. At the Hotel Italia it costs a whopping 141 euros for one person. If you like overpaying for a stay that will leave you feeling depressed, taken advantage of and a little unhygienic then Hotel Italia is the place for you. Otherwise find someplace - anyplace - else.

The hotel is a central hotel, in the heart of the ghetto, two minutes walk from the Piazza della Unita, restaurants and the heart of the city of Trieste. The hotel is very friendly and friendly and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is fully renovated and new. The rooms are simple and quality. The location is very quiet in a adjacent street away from the tumult of bars and restaurants, however close to. The apartment is located in a beautiful old building, in excellent location, just a few minutes from the Canale Grande/Vecchio. Very clean and ordently. Clean textiles. spacious. Once a week, a basic cleaning and replacement of bed linen and towels takes place. The bathroom is beautiful and well equipped. However, only the most necessary and simple is available. About standard articles such as. Wrists or tops are to be asked extra. In addition, the noise from the kitchen is unfortunately very noisy and disturbs significantly during sleep (therm and extremely noisy refrigerator). At my request, the heat was closed at night, nothing happened. The air conditioning works, but is extremely noisy during operation. The refrigerator was wrongly set and is poorly designed. The condensation water runs under the vegetable box and, by increasing it, ensures that the door is almost impossible to close, which is blocked. Problems such as the wrong setting of the refrigerator or the defected toilet washing box were quickly fixed by the staff. Partly, the walls could be removed and some items (e.g. beans in the bathroom) could be replaced. The staff takes care of it, but you don't feel very welcome as a guest. It is provided a service to the guest with the necessary courtesy. All beyond that is not considered necessary. Concluded: good accommodation in top position, best suited for unexpected and short stays. For me too expensive with these shortcomings. With a little effort you could improve the stay of guests a little bit and make it beautiful. Shame that so little customer connection is operated.

Very nice restoration out of an old storage for small boats. Modern and practical, rooms feels more like a cabin room on a nice ship, the way they are designed. Bathroom is big, compare to the size of the room. High ceiling is nice which compensate the tiny size of the bedroom. Breakfast is ok. We were just wondering why in the city of excellent coffee there would be a Nespresso machine to make your own “cappuccino”... ! Some fresh fruit salad would also be nice to have. A nicely prepared Gin&Tonic was nice to enjoy sitting by the sea...
