Outstanding
Probably the best service I ever had! A few notes for Americans traveling to this hotel: *They take care of towels, beach bag, bug spray, shampoo/conditioner/lotion in room *coffee is pour over and no cream provided *food is very good except the all you can eat Street Food was horrible and not worth it. *very safe for families and women traveling although this is not a place for 7-13 year olds. Not much for them to do. More for babies and toddlers.. I found it to be super classy though. *expect to have tons of cash for tips *you don’t need cabs to go to the restaurants- all walkable *lots of beach peddlers - not a lot of negotiation and they overcharged by $30 on my credit card with no way to get it back. You’re better buying in a store. *At Lulas the sister resort, spa was very very good, great price, long massages but no showers or plunge pools, steam, etc. Wonderful experience! Yoga was amazing and teacher was a pro. Staff who provided excellent service are: Esteban, Ricardo, Manual, Jonathan at the Beach Bar. Lucy in the evening.
Beautiful boutique hotel with a kind team of workers! It feels like a little hidden gem tucked away off the beaten path. This hotel was my favorite part of my trip! Nicole at the front desk was very welcoming! The size of their suites is very generous and it's nice to have the space to spread out and relax. I loved having a full-sized kitchen area and they provide you with utensils, cookware, dishes, and everything you need to feel at home. The bed was on the firm side but very comfortable and it was nice to have separate air conditioning units in the bedroom and living room. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my breakfast was included each morning because I booked directly on their website. At the time I'm writing this taxis into centro town were around $200 - $300 pesos from this area and a taxi into the hotel zone ran around $40 - $50 US. I would absolutely come back!
GGuest UserHotel Muare is one of the more popular hotels in the Tulum area. It is a perfect getaway if you want to have a quiet time from the hustle-and-bustle of the city to recharge. The rooms are designed to look like houses in the remote places but with all the modern amenities. It also is a great option for someone who cares about staying at an Instagrammable hotel/resort. There is one restaurant which provides good food.
Negatives:
-Getting to the hotel will require you to drive through really broken dirt road with several pits.
-While the food options are good, if you’re someone with a dietary restrictions - e.g., vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, don’t eat red meat or raw fish, etc. you may run out of options quickly. The staff is flexible though, so they may customize few dishes for your suiting.
-In general Tulum is expensive. However, Muare is up a notch. While it was a great place to stay, the price didn’t seem justifiable to me. Specially, since I don’t care as much about capturing Instagrammable photos.
-While the staffs are helpful and friendly, their extreme focus on getting money out of you is just off putting. Examples: we planned to have food by the pool and it took them forever to get us the food. They missed certain items in the order. We also had issues with our food (fly in maple syrup) which was still fine (since bugs/insects can fall in your food when you live in the nature). However, when we reported and asked for a replacement, they never returned with the fresh maple syrup. Finally, I had to go to the restaurant and pick it up myself. However, when it came to asking you to pay, they would run behind you to get your sign. On top of that, there is a default tip amount included in the bill which some of them may not even care to mention to you. While checking out as well, they added a hefty service charge to the bill - this on top of the already expensive booking fee.
Overall, my review is that it is a good place to stay. However, too expensive and the cost is not really justifiable. Plus for the good service they provide, it is really off putting when you see how focused they’re on getting more money out of you in any way possible.
Pros: Very Friendly and attentive staff Comfortable beds and pillows Relaxing cenote area Vegan options First two days were tranquil and relaxing Small but clean pool in public area Towers were nice for watching sunrise Cool treehouse Price (don't expect the Ritz when you are paying for a Days Inn) Prompt cab service Can escape to excellent restaurant and beach clubs in town (via cab) ”Kans” Lack of communication for reservations so we didn't get a room with the amenities we thought we were getting. Plunge pool ended up being a very small steep hot tub that was no longer circulating. (We were told we had the glass one pictured) Lukewarm bath water A concert transformed the whole area into an ecological travesty with chaos. Overrun with Influencers and Instagrammers who were not even guests of the property Excessively loud with doors shut and rear plus. Although owner offered to move is both the resort is so small it wouldn't have made a difference. Check in area had two rather foul mouth guests upon arrival. Not the best impression. Dirt road wasn't such a good idea. $40 for ten min cab ride (incl tip) to town each way Felt a bit trapped... Resort is very small. Menu items don't vary much . Ok for a day or two tho. Need coffee or juice earlier than 8:30am... Or coffee makers. There was an incredible lack of wildlife due to eco damage and noise.
SSHAOBINWarm and beautiful Mexican-style hotel, the balcony is the swimming pool, next to the restaurant. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, salami and ham, fruit, various breads, coffee, tea, milk and juice. Although there are not many types, they can all be eaten comfortably. The location is good to find, just entered the second intersection of Tulun left hand and went in, there is parking space, ten minutes to Tulun site, X park half an hour to forty minutes, airport two hours, 7 word hotel area less than three hours . It is convenient to eat around, there is a big supermarket, and there is a local life atmosphere, which is not experienced in the 7-character area.
We love it! The rooftop restaurant and pool is luxurious and fun. Angel and Eduardo were our attentive, professional and friendly waiters. The food was fresh and tasty. We loved the lemon pie and quinoa bowl! The room is contemporary, clean and includes everything you need. The front desk staff are great too! They helped us coordinate a local tour. Paula was great. A 7-11, retail shops, spas and restaurants are all within walking distance. We loved this hotel and wouldn’t change a thing. We stayed for five nights and it was the perfect length to relax and explore the area. We plan to return for another relaxing vacation.
Great place with a great location. Right on the road to the beach and yet very close to the city centre. Staff are very very helpful polite and professional. Rooms are big and clean! We stayed 2 nights and decided to extend for another night. The restaurant on premises has excellent food. We've ordered ceviche everywhere we went on our 3 week trip in Mexico and this was top 3! Good value for money too. Our server Carlos at the restaurant was amazing. Very good energy and super attentive. We highly rate this place 👌🏻
NNicky1226The price is a bit expensive. Good location. It's convenient for eating and shopping around. The room is big. Night life is abundant. It's also very convenient to get to the station. I will choose to stay here again when I go to Cancun in the future.
Sol is an amazing instructor of Acro!! We started with just basic warm ups and Sol ended up teaching me a head stand in my first class. Just all around fun and good vibes in the class, I’d go to every single class if I could. she also does a 7am run class which I’m really excited about trying!
LLuis Fernando QuirozThe hotel is located around 1,5 km from a bus station. It was quite easy to find. In front of it there is a huge supermarket, many bars and restaurants around. The room was clean, it has all the amenities in it including beach towels. I didn’t like the service of the restaurant on the first floor. The food they served was cold, lettuce seemed to be unwashed. Tips were included automatically to the bill which I refused to give taking into consideration the level of their service.
