The person at the desk was not helpful. We didn't know how to register the car or find the additional car park. He waved his arms and said register the car over there, and didn't show us actually where to do this. My husband asked where the additional car park was and he again was very vague. Very poor service. He was sitting in the room next door to reception but kept my husband waiting around too. The room had not been hoovered for months, the hallway carpets were in the same condition, really disgustingly dusty. A previous occupants sock was under the desk, so I know it wasn't cleaned. My husband slept on the sofa bed or the additional bed and had bug bites in the morning. I will not stay at a Premier Inn again.

We arrived late. Hotel called to check our arrival and explained to call before we arrived to be able to park on property. Staff were polite and helpful. Had to leave a £50 deposit, for additional charges, will refund what is not used. Just no details about thus on booking.

Quick booking we arrived at 7pm had to check-in at the reception next door holiday inn very quick and smooth, was confused as its within the hotel itself and opened the doing to a beautiful spacious apartment we bought food from a local restaurant was lovely to eat and use the kitchen with a dishwasher too! The bed was huge but rock hard... the only thing we disliked was the stifling heat absolutely no air and no air conditioning whatsoever! There was a tower fan and a normal fan provided but didn't make any difference whatsoever although it was July it was torrential rain outside English weather so wasn't hot outside I had to have 3 showers and kept having to go outside during the night to get air , didn't have a comfortable sleep whatsoever and tge fans on all night long either side of the bed with the windows open only around a cm because that's as far as they would go, but if there was aircon this would of been my favourite stay ever ,the local shops restaurants and town centre is a 10 min walk away and parking is £8 per night even with a disability badge. Your able to use the facilities in hotel for food and drinks but we used the local restaurants nearby and used the fridge for our own bought alcohol because it was raining outside... staff was above and beyond.

Disappointing and run down. This hotel needs some love and TLC. The fixtures & fittings in the bathroom were loose and wobbly, the extractor fan not working. Room felt generally tired. This was the case in all 3 rooms our group had. The lift had only one light out of 5 operational. The wider hotel was better and the restaurant & bar was a nice space however this was marred by the unfriendly and incompetent staff. ”Fawlty Towers” as my friend remarked. In my opinion breakfast at just over £10 per person is expensive and having to pay £8 per day for parking is crazy and unjustified. Premier Inn used to be a great value, good quality hotel chain, but it feels now like its becoming the EasyJet of hotels with lots of additional charges and poorer quality.
