Given the price, it’s a definite up to the standard. Close to the city centre and free parking

Not up to scratch-Dirty towels left from last guest, stained headboard, stained ceiling, one lightbulb out/hanging off. We should really have demanded a room change but trying to get someone at the desk proved difficult. People stay at Premier Inn because 'you know what you're getting'.. alas, from the overall reviews on Tripadvisor one can see that this is no longer the case.Premier Inn seems to have become just another gamble of "will it/won't it be ok" in the hotel game.Shame really.

We chose this hotel due to proximity to our family who live in Winchester but that was a mistake. The Noise from the Air con on the first floor was unbearable, even with recordings of the noise and a complaint in person and in writing and being told the aircon had just been replaced we somehow complained incorrectly and we don't fall under the good night guarantee. The staff mentioned they heard the noise and had reported it on their morning walk through but when speaking to guest relations somehow that was now not recorded and they said they had no evidence of that. We've stayed before and had a good experience but i can honestly say this fell well short of what they report to offer. The staff were nice , when you could find them, the breakfast was reasonably priced and good quality but that is about all the compliments i could give. I would not stay again.
