The Mayaji Pagoda was built in 1170 AD. It is a typical pyramid-style building and the largest brick-walled structure among the existing pagodas in Bagan. It is made of red bricks from the inside to the outside. It is said that millions of dollars were spent on it. Bricks! And the seams are tight, with almost no gaps between bricks. The craftsmanship at that time was quite powerful. Walking through the outer wall to the inner courtyard, there are some small vendors, and the trees are covered with small humanoid puppets, which is a bit fantasy.
