Baiyan Temple | A great place to see ginkgo trees in late fall near Chengdu.

Baiyan Temple is a Tibetan Buddhist temple located in Jinxing Township, Dayi County, Chengdu. It is named after the huge white sedimentary rock under which it is located. The ginkgo trees in the temple are famous far and wide. Best time to see the ginkgo trees: mid-November to early December "Baiyan Temple Hiking Routes" [Hiking Route 1]: Go up the left side of the mountain. This route is gentle and less strenuous, and is the most popular choice. [Route 2]: Go up the right side of the mountain. This route is less crowded, has stone steps, is quiet, and is better for clearing your mind. "Baiyan Temple Recommendations" 1⃣️ Baiyan Temple has a long history. It was built more than 2,000 years ago during the Eastern Han Dynasty. The yellow walls are especially beautiful, and in late fall they contrast with the ginkgo leaves to create a secluded beauty that makes for great photos. 2⃣️ The unique 1,200-year-old ginkgo tree with nine trunks growing from the same root. The trunks are intertwined, and the mountain is covered in gold, as if nature has spilled a palette of colors.
