Every city has its own unique charm and story. This time, I visited Fuzhou, an ancient city with a thousand-year-old culture that still shines in the new era. When I stayed at Shangri-La Fuzhou, I felt like I was in a poetic world where the past and present meet. - The hotel's prime location was the first reason I chose it! It is within walking distance of Nanmendou Metro Station, and there are many historical and cultural attractions around the hotel, such as Sanfang Qixiang, Shangxiahang, and the Yushan Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins. Not to mention that you can watch the flag-raising ceremony at Wuyi Square from the comfort of your Deluxe Horizon King Room on the 25th or 26th floor. This daily romantic prelude always fills me with pride and warmth as a Chinese person when I watch it in the morning light. In addition, the hotel has customized 2 km and 5 km jogging routes for guests, which pass through attractions such as Wuyi Square, Yushan, Wushan, the White Pagoda, the Black Pagoda, and the Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins, allowing everyone to enjoy the natural scenery and historical and cultural heritage of Fuzhou while exercising. There is also an original mural "8Fanghui Gathering" by artist Wen Na in the sunken plaza. This mural is a vivid representation of Fuzhou's immortal culture. The mythical figures in the mural, such as the God of Literature, the God of Examinations, and the God of Wealth, are vivid and lifelike. At the same time, Wen Na also creatively created fictional characters such as the "Goddess of 8Fanghui," the "God of Eating Happiness," and the "God of Invincibility," adding a touch of modern artistic imagination and fun to the whole picture. On the 5th floor sky garden, we can see the White Pagoda in the distance through a modern ancient house art installation with the 8Fanghui logo. The food in 8Fanghui is also not to be missed! This time, I had two meals at Jiangnan Zao, a restaurant specializing in Huaiyang cuisine, and I still wanted more. The dishes have a high repeat order rate, especially the drunken crab, which I had twice in a row, making this autumn and winter feel complete! - Shangri-La Fuzhou is not only a place to stay on my journey but also a place where I can feel the heartbeat of a city that connects the past and present.
