Guizhou Museum

Guizhou, abbreviated as Qian, is located on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with 92.5% of its area being mountains and hills. Humans have lived and thrived here for 500,000 to 600,000 years. Before the Spring and Autumn Period, the northeastern part of Guizhou belonged to Jingchu, while the rest of the region was generally referred to as Nanman. During the Warring States Period and the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Yelang Kingdom rose in the southwest of China, with Guizhou as its center. During the reign of Emperor Wu of Han, the southern barbarians, namely Yelang, were pacified, and the area was governed by the Cangke Jun. Guizhou Museum is located in Guanshanhu District, Guiyang City, and has a collection of more than 80,000 items. The museum's highlights include Guizhou's paleontological fossils, Paleolithic artifacts, ethnic artifacts, and various artifacts reflecting local history, culture, and diversity. On this trip to Guiyang, I stayed at Sofitel Guiyang Hunter for three days and two nights, and visited Qianling Mountain Park, Jiaxiu Tower, and Cuiwei Garden. The best way to learn about the history and culture of a place is to visit a museum, so I took a taxi to Guizhou Museum on the morning of the second day. In the afternoon, I took a taxi to Qianling Mountain Park. I had a great time and will definitely come back to Guizhou if I have the chance.
