Nanyue Temple First, visit Nanyue Temple. Nanyue Temple is a temple dedicated to the worship of the Nanyue Emperor. It was built in the Sui Dynasty and is one of the largest and most complete ancient palace-style buildings in southern China. It is known as the "Forbidden City of the South." 2.
